Our Church Family worships the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and every Sunday, the Lord s Day, we commemorate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to live the Holy Gospel in accordance with the Orthodox Faith; towards sanctification through God s grace in worship, the Divine Liturgy and the Sacraments: glorifying God through all joys and struggles; and as a Church Community, in Christian love, we seek to do His will so that through His mercy, we may attain His Kingdom. We are blessed to have the slippers of St. Spyridon, which are located in the narthex of the Church, please be sure to venerate them. And, when chanting your prayers, most sacred One, angels ministered with you. Glory to Him who glorified you; glory to Him who crowned you; glory to Him who, through you, works healing for all. Kontakion In your holy birth, Immaculate One, Joachim and Anna were rid of the shame of childlessness; Adam and Eve of the corruption of death. And so your people, free of the guilt of their sins, celebrate crying: "The barren one gives birth to the Theotokos, who nourishes our life." ΤΗΕ EPISTLE St. Paul's Letter to the Galatians 6:11-18 O Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance. Verse: To you, O Lord, I have cried, O my God. BRETHREN, see with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh that would compel you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. For even those who receive circumcision do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may glory in your flesh. But far be it from me to glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. Peace and mercy be upon all who walk by this rule, upon the Israel of God. 10 Bible Study Why Jesus Performed Miracles on Earth Wednesday, September 21, :00pm in the Tonna Room Fr. Dimitri will be leading a bible study on the Gospel of Matthew where he will explain why Jesus performed miracles during His Earthy Ministry. Please come and join the discussion to better understand the miracles of Jesus and why He performed them.

11 Orthodoxy 101 The Great Schism Wednesday, September 28, 7:00pm in the Tonna Room Fr. Dimitrios Moraitis will be giving a presentation on the Orthodox Church s understanding of the Great Schism which occurred in 1054 A.D.. The East West Schism, also called the Great Schism and the Schism of 1054, was the break of communion between what are now the Eastern Orthodox and Catholic churches, which has lasted since the 11th century. This topic will be discussed in depth at this presentation.

13 National Drive Electric Week Tuesday, September 13, :00 PM - 6:30 PM 100 Institute Rd, Worcester Worcester, MA Save the Date! Come out to and celebrate National Drive Electric Week with National Grid and the Worcester CleanTech Incubator at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute campus on September 13 between 3p.m. - 6:30p.m. Test drive electric vehicles with MASS DRIVE CLEAN, who is putting the most advanced, high-tech cars into people s hands. MASS DRIVE CLEAN events are free to attend, and feature an EV Expo as well as the opportunity to test drive a variety of the newest electric cars while learning about other green technologies. 15 Please SAVE the Date!!! The Ladies will be hosting a luncheon on Saturday, October 15th, 2016 at 11:30am. We are currently looking to have Ladies volunteer to decorate a table in whichever theme you choose. Doors will be open on Friday, October 14th for setup. There will be judges to give out prizes. Tables of 10 will be reserved. More details to follow such as menu & cost. The event is open to all Cathedral Members & Friends.
