On this day, we commemorate the Synaxis in honor of righteous Joachim and Anna; the holy martyr Severian; devout father Theophanis the Confessor; Saint Chariton; the holy Third Ecumenical Council of the 200 God-bearing fathers who convened in Ephesus during the reign of Theodosius the Younger, and who deposed impious Nestorios. Thursday, September 13 th, Friday, September 14 th, Sunday, September 16 th, Monday, September 17 th, Upcoming Services Events Greek school classes begin Elevation of the precious Cross Orthros 8:45 am, Divine Liturgy 10 am. 3 Year memorial in loving memory of Athanasios Demou, given by his wife Sophia Demou and family. Also, we will have a memorial service for all 911 victims, given by our Philoptochos. Philoptochos will pass a tray to benefit the Hellenic College/Holy Cross Scholarship Fund. Sunday school begins. Dance Group Our dance practices will be held every other Friday, beginning September 14 th. Philoptochos Sunday, September 16 th, we ll have a memorial to honor the memory of all 911 victims and pass a tray to benefit the Hellenic College/Holy Cross Scholarship Fund.Also on this day, our Philoptochos will host coffee hour to welcome everyone back and have their first meeting all welcome. Choir Today, our Choir will resume its participation in our ecclesiastical services. Rehearsals will commence on Sunday, September 16 th, following the social coffee hour every Sunday, except when there is a conflict. Renovation notice We are happy to share with you the news that construction has begun on our good Churchs renovations and redesigns. So, we didnt want you all to be surprised when you walk into Church today, as you will see the Halls floors have been taken up and the downstairs bathrooms have been removed. Please utilize the restroom next to our church narthex until the completion of work. We have excellent workers and the redesign process will take a while. Just to say thank you for your patience as we continue this good work, and thank you to all who are helping our parish move forward in providing our spiritual ministries to us all. Paying it forward helps pay it back.

2 Saint Pauls Letter to the Galatians 6:11-18 Sunday before Holy Cross O Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance. To you, O Lord, I have cried, O my God. Brethren, see with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh that would compel you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. For even those who receive circumcision do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may glory in your flesh. But far be it from me to glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 3 Ελληνικό Σχολείο Κατηχητικό Το απογευµατινό Ελληνικό µας σχολείο θα αρχίσει τη Πέµπτη 13 Σεπτεµβρίου και το Κατηχητικό µας σχολείο, τη Κυριακή 16 Σεπτεµβρίου. Φιλόπτωχος Κυριακή 16 Σεπτεµβρίου, µνηµόσυνο εις µνήµη των θυµάτων της 11 ης Σεπτεµβρίου και προσφορά καφέ να καλωσορίσουν όλους τους ενορίτες. Επισης την ίδια ηµέρα θα έχουνε την πρώτη τους συνεδρία τη ώρα του κοινωνικού καφέ. Χορωδία Από σήµερα η χορωδία µας αρχίζει τα καθήκοντά της. Εξασκήσεις αρχίζουν την Κυριακή, 16 Σεπτεµβρίου, ακολούθως του κοινωνικού καφέ και κάθε Κυριακή, εκτός αν υπάρχει άλλη ακολουθία στην εκκλησία. Ενηµέρωση Ανακαινίσεων Εχουµε αρχίσει τις ανακαινίσεις τους διαδρόµους καθώς και στις τουαλέτες της Εκκλησίας µας.
