(γ) Ποιότητα διδασκαλίας και εφαρμογή νέων μεθόδων διδασκαλίας (Teaching Quality and Teaching Innovation): (α) Tο μάθημα Οικονομικά της Μετάβασης Economics of Transition που είχα αναπτύξει και διδάξει κατά τα τελευταία 4 έτη στο City είχε αποδειχθεί ως ένα από 13

τα πιο δημοφιλή μαθήματα επιλογής για τους τριτοετείς BSc φοιτητές, προσελκύοντας κάθε χρόνο περισσότερο από το 60% του συνόλου των φοιτητών. (β) Σε όλη τη διάρκεια της εργασίας μου στο τομέα της διδασκαλίας, έχω επιτύχει πολύ υψηλές βαθμολογίες (σταθερά πάνω από 4/5 που αντιστοιχεί στο πολύ καλά/άριστα ) στα πλαίσια της ετήσιας διαδικασίας αξιολόγησης διδασκαλίας (teaching appraisal) τόσο στην Ελλάδα όσο και στο Εξωτερικό. (γ) Για τα μαθήματα στις ποσοτικές μεθόδους που έχω κατά καιρούς διδάξει τόσο σε Προπτυχιακό όσο και σε Μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο έχω εισάγει τη χρήση Ηλεκτρονικών Υπολογιστών και Στατιστικών και Οικονομετρικών προγραμμάτων. Στο μάθημα Ποσοτικές Μέθοδοι οι φοιτητές μαθαίνουν την χρήση του Excel για γρήγορη/αποτελεσματική/ακριβή επίλυση προβλημάτων σχετικά με επιχερηματικές και οικονομικές αποφάσεις. Για το μάθημα της Οικονομετρίας (πέρα από την διδασκαλία διαφόρων οικονομετρικών μεθόδων) οι φοιτητές μαθαίνουν να χρησιμοποιούν τα προγράμματα Eviews και Microfit για την άντληση οικονομετρικών αποτελεσμάτων για εφαρμογές στα οικονομικά και χρηματοοικονομικά. Αυτό γίνεται εφικτό μέσα από διδασκαλία σε εργαστήρια με Η/Υ και μιά άρτια οργανωμένη προσωπική ιστοσελίδα (personal webpage) με προγράμματα που έχουν αλγόριθμους για το Excel και προγράμματα κατασκευασμένα από τον διδάσκοντα για επίλυση προβλημάτων στο Eviews, στο STATA και στο Microfit. Μέλος της Επιτροπής Ειδικών Περιστάσεων/Προβλημάτων (Extenuating Circumstances Committee) του City University: Η επιτροπή αυτή έχει ως ρόλο την εξέταση ειδικών περιστάσεων/προβλημάτων μη ακαδημαϊκής φύσεως που επηρρεάζουν όμως την ακαδημαϊκή δραστηριότητα των φοιτητών. Σκοπός της επιτροπής, αφού εξετάσει λεπτομερώς τις υποθέσεις, είναι να κάνει προτάσεις προς την Επιτροπή Εξετάσεων και Βαθμολόγησης (Exam Boards) ανάλογα για την κάθε περίσταση (2002-2008). Μέλος της Επιτροπής Φοιτητών-Διδασκώντων (MSc Students-Lecturers Committee) για το Μεταπτυχιακό Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών του City University: Ως μέλος της επιτροπής αυτής συμμετείχα σε συζητήσεις με τους φοιτητές των μεταπτυχιακών προγραμμάτων σπουδών με τίτλο MSc in Business Economics/ MSc in International Business Economics, με σκοπό τον προσδιορισμό τυχών προβλημάτων και την έγκαιρη αντιμετώπιση τους καθώς και την γενικότερη εύρυθμη λειτουργεία των προγραμμάτων σπουδών.
