Main Fields of Research The main research interests concern the archaeology of the early Byzantine period and the transitional period in the eastern Mediterranean, with emphasis in the archaeology of towns and in the material culture (pottery and minor arts); they also concern the cultural contacts of Byzantium with the West during the Latin domination. The trade relations of the Byzantine empire with other regions, as well as aspects of technology and use of objects are also addressed. Other Scientific / Academic Activities 1.
