It s possible to select the mode of the pool by: User Interface Dry Contact Schedule Some third part pool cleaning systems have their own water pump directly controlled. The Pool kit works checking the flow switch status, independently from the control of water pump. Pool kit can work without controlling the water pump. When the water pump is mapped, it is On when pool mode is not OFF. Depending on setting of Par and the Water Pool Temperature, pump could be turned OFF even if pool mode is not OFF. Proportional Valve (ref. 12 on pic. 4) Proportional valve is used to have a better temperature control of the water provided to the pool. If the temperature of the water supplied by the heat exchanger is higher or lower than the requested one, the control drives the valve to adjust it. In order to manage the leaving temperature, the control also operates on the temperature requested to the Comfort Module, the proportional valve is suggested to increase the control precision, and to avoid to supply too hot water in the pool. If the proportional valve is installed, the Leaving Water Temperature Sensor (ref. 9 pic. 4) must also be installed. 8

14 English Devices connectable Flow Switch (ref. 6 on pic. 4) It s strongly suggested to use a flow switch on the system. The pool control logic uses this sensor to detect if the pool is operative or not. When the flow switch detects water flow, the priority is calculated and the software runs all the logic dedicated to the pool. If the Flow switch is not installed, it is considered as detecting flow. Three way valve (ref. 4 on pic. 4) This valve drives the water to the pool exchanger when pool heating/cooling is required. This valve is not optional and must be placed on the same hydraulic side of the Sanitary water valve. On the Variable Table of the Comfort Module, set the Par. 107 according to the real position of the valve. Water Pool temperature sensor (ref. 8 of pic. 4) This sensor detects the temperature of the water pool. It is used to calculate the priority and the heat/cool demand of the pool. This temperature is also used to change the leaving water setpoint calculated by the Climatic Curve (±4 C). It is strongly suggested to install this sensor, if this sensor is not installed, the control always considers a priority of 0.5. Leaving Water to pool temperature sensor (ref. 9 of pic. 4) It probes the temperature provided to the pool. The control acts to provide water at the setpoint calculated with the Climatic Curve, driving the Proportional Valve (if available) and asking the right water temperature to the Comfort Module. It used also to avoid to drive too hot water to the pool. If the water provided to the pool is higher than 5 C then the leaving water setpoint, the control stops the pool heating. It's strongly suggest to install this sensor. Water to heat exchanger temperature sensor (ref. 7 of pic. 4) It used to better calculate the water temperature requested to the Comfort Module. If this sensor is not installed, the Pool Kit can't operate to achieve the best efficiency. Pressure Switch It s possible to connect a pressure switch on water pipes (on the Comfort Module side). When the water pressure is below the pressure switch preset value, the Pool Kit communicate the pressure error and stop the heating production. In case of pressure fault, the control commands the shut off valve to close, if installed. 9

15 Controller Operation The pool heating/cooling request works following the logic of priority described in the Comfort Module manuals. The pic. 5 shows the curve used to calculate the Pool priority. When the pool priority is higher than the Room and Sanitary priority, the system switchs to perform pool heating/ cooling. In the pic. 5: P=Priority calculated T=Pool water temperature A=Pool water temperature setpoint (Par. 1 of Variable Table) B=Delta temperature for priority 0.5 (Par. 75 of Variable Table) C=Delta temperature for priority 1 (Par. 76 of Variable Table) The priority will be calculated only when the Flow Switch detects water flow (if installed and mapped). If there is NO Pool water temperature sensor, the priority will be always 0.5. Mode selection See the Comfort Module and User Interface documentation. It s possible to select the mode of the zone by: User Interface (heat/cool/off) Dry Contact (on/off) Schedule (on/off) The Pool Kit works communicating a heating demand and a priority to the Comfort Module, priority is compared with the priorities from zones and sanitary tank. Using the User Interface, if the mode set is Not OFF, and the schedule mode is ON, the water pump will be turned on and the water temperature setpoint requested will be compared with the Water Pool Temperature, to calculate the priority. Using the Dry Contact, the user can set the Pool On or Off, but the mode (heating/cooling) has to be set using the User Interface by the Virtual Zoning feature if no Pool User Interface is used (refer to User Interface Manual). When the mode is On, the water pump is turned on and priority will be calculated. In all the case, water pump behaviour also depends on Par setting and Pool Temperature. If the Pool Temperature Sensor is used, to read the right Pool Temperature, don t stop the water pump when the set point is reached. If flow switch is installed, priority is 0 if no flow is detected. Pool Antifreeze protection If enabled on Varbiale table Par11.0, and if the Pool Temperature read by Water Pool temperature sensor (ref. 8 of pic. 4) is below the value at Par. 12 of Variable Table, the Pool Kit starts to heat the Pool. This protection is active only when the Pool mode is Off, and main system mode is not cool. Climatic Curve The temperature of the water provided to the pool is calculated by the Climatic Curve. It works using the Outdoor Air Temperature, according to the graph in pic. 6 and the values set in the Variable Table (Par ). The Pool Kit adjust the temperature requested to the Comfort Module in order to achieve its setpoint. In the pic. 6: LWT: Leaving Water temperature to the Pool OAT: Outdoor Air temperature X: Adjustable value set by Par. 16 of Variable Table A, B, C, D: Points of the curve set by Variable Table from Par. 52 to 55. Antifrost protection This function prevents the icing of the water in hydronic circuit. It works in all mode except Cooling mode and drives the system to heat the water inside the pipes. The threshold is selectable on Par. 102 of the Variable Table. English Diagnostic In case of system failure, the alarm icon ( ) will light up on the user interface. Failures are identified by a fault code. Active fault codes will be displayed in sequence, with a change rate of 1 second. Refer to Comfort Module 80HMA manual for the meaning of the fault codes. 10

24 English Italiano Dispositivi collegabili Flussostato (rif. 6 fig. Valvola a tre vie (rif. 4 fig.
