T he resu lts revealed that GnRH 2imm uno reactive (GnRH 2IR ) neu ron s w ere m ain ly distribu ted over nucleu s sup raop ticu s, nucleu s an terio r hypo th lom i, nucleu s paraven tricu laris and nucleu s arcuatu s; in addition, a certain GnRH 2IR neu2 ron s w ere also found in nucleu s p reop ticu s m edialis, nucleu s p reop ticu s lateralis, nucleu s sup rach iasm ar2 icu s, nucleu s lateralis hypo thalam i, nucleu s sup raop ticu s diffu su s, nucleu s ven trodialis, nucleu s ven tro later2 alis and nucleu s m am illaris; and the rest w ere found to distribu te over nucleu s an terio r comm issu ris, bed nucleu s stria term inalis, nucleu s perifo rn icalis, nucleu s circu laris, nucleu s p reop ticu s sup rach iasm aticu s and nucleu s ven trom edialiṡ T he po sitive cells w ere m ain ly circu lar, triangle, oval, sp indle2shaped, po lygon, ir2 regu lar shape, in addition, som e of them had obviou s p ro jectṡ T he circu lar and the triangle cell diam eters w ere 7 27 Λm, the oviod and the sp indle2shaped cell m ino r ax is and the m ajo rax is w ere 7 21 Λm, 10 48 Λm respectively. GnRH 2IR nerve fibers w ere on ly ob served in nucleu s p re2op ticu s m edialis, nucleu s p reop ti2 cu s lateralis, nucleu s paraven tricu laris and nucleu s sup rach iam aticu ṡ A lso, som e nerve fibers w ere found in m edium em inence and the su rrounding area of th ird ven tricle. T he resu lts show ed that the distribu tion of GnRH in the hypo thalam u s of you th dairy goat w as ex ten sive.
