R esearch show s that m aceral and the degree of m etamo rph ism of coal rock are key facto rs that con tro l the generating and sto ring capacity of coal rock. T emperatu re, p ressu re and the con ten t of m ineral sub stance and w ater are also relevan t to the sto ring capacity of coal rock. How ever, the perm eab ility of coalbed is m ain ly con tro lled by fractu re system of coal rock, w h ich is relevan t to the m atu rity of coal and the in ten sity of tectogenesis. T he p reservation of CBM poo l is m ain ly con tro lled by the sealing capacity of roof and floo r p late, tecton ic activity and hydrodynam ic environm en ṫ Becau se of its impo rtan t ro le, w e d better strengthen the research on CBM poo l fo rm ing condition s.
