Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας Αγαπητοί, Ο Έλληνας φιλόσοφος Αριστοτέλης είχε πει κάποτε: «Της παιδείας είναι πικρές οι ρίζες αλλά οι καρποί γλυκοί». Καθώς πλησιάζετε στο τέλος των σπουδών σας είναι σημαντικό να αναλογιστείτε πόσο μακριά έχετε φτάσει και όλα όσα έχετε πετύχει κατά τη διάρκεια των σπουδών σας στο Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας. Η προσπάθειά σας όλη η επιμονή και η υπομονή σας- έχει αποδώσει γλυκούς καρπούς και έχετε κερδίσει τα συγχαρητήρια της οικογένειας, των φίλων και συμμαθητών σας. Συγχαρητήρια! Με μεγάλη χαρά σας προσκαλώ εκ μέρους του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας στην Τελετή Αποφοίτησης της Τάξης του 2014. Φέτος για πρώτη φορά στην ιστορία του Πανεπιστημίου θα λάβουν χώρα δύο τελετές αποφοίτησης για να φιλοξενήσουν τον αυξανόμενο αριθμό αποφοίτων σε προπτυχιακό και μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο. Οι τελετές αποφοίτησης θα πραγματοποιηθούν στο Ανοικτό Αμφιθέατρο του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας ως εξής: Τελετή Αποφοίτησης Μεταπτυχιακών Φοιτητών Τρίτη 24 Ιουνίου 2014 στις 19:45 Τελετή Αποφοίτησης Προπτυχιακών Φοιτητών Τετάρτη 25 Ιουνίου 2014 στις 19:45 Η Τελετή Αποφοίτησής σας αποτελεί σημαντικό σταθμό στην ακαδημαϊκή σας σταδιοδρομία και σηματοδοτεί την αρχή ενός εντελώς καινούριου κεφαλαίου στη ζωή σας. Δηλώνει επίσης την έναρξη μιας νέας σχέσης με το Πανεπιστήμιο αφού θα ενωθείτε πλέον με ένα διαρκώς διευρυνόμενο δίκτυο ντόπιων και διεθνών αποφοίτων. Έτσι βεβαιωθείτε ότι θα είστε σε επαφή με την πανεπιστημιακή κοινότητα. Για να διασφαλίσουμε ότι το ξεχωριστό αυτό γεγονός θα διεξαχθεί ομαλά, παρακαλούμε διαβάστε προσεκτικά το βιβλιαράκι αυτό. University of Nicosia Dear, The Greek philosopher Aristotle noted that the roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet. As you approach the end of your studies at the University of Nicosia, it is important to take stock of how far you have come and all that you have achieved during your time with us. The fruits of your labour all your effort and commitment have paid off and you have earned the congratulations of family, friends and peers. Well done! It is, therefore, with great pleasure that, on behalf of the University of Nicosia, I invite you to the Graduation Ceremony of the Class of 2014. This year, and for the first time in the University s history, two graduation ceremonies will take place in order to accommodate the increasing number of graduates at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The graduation ceremonies will be held at the Open Amphitheatre of the University of Nicosia as follows: Postgraduate Graduation Ceremony Tuesday, June 24th 2014, at 19:45 Undergraduate Graduation Ceremony Wednesday, June 25th 2014, at 19:45 Your Graduation Ceremony represents a highlight in your academic career and marks the beginning of yet another new chapter in your life. It also signifies the start of a new relationship with the University as you join an expanding network of local and international alumni. So please be sure to stay in touch with your University community. In order to ensure that this special occasion flows smoothly, you are requested to read through this booklet very carefully. Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας Checklist Πριν την Τελετή Αποφοίτησης 1. Δηλώστε το ενδιαφέρον σας για την Αποφοίτηση ηλεκτρονικά μέσω του προσωπικού σας λογαριασμού στο Student Intranet μέχρι τις 16 Μαΐου 2014. Ακολούθως, περάστε από το γραφείο Α19 το αργότερο μέχρι τις 23 Μαΐου 2014 για την επιβεβαίωση της συμμετοχής σας στην Τελετή Αποφοίτησης και για να πάρετε το Graduation Clearance Slip έτσι ώστε να μπορέσετε με αυτό να παραλάβετε τη στολή αποφοίτησής σας από το κατάστημα Eurojet. 2. Αν ενδιαφέρεστε για studio φωτογραφίες, διευθετείστε την πληρωμή στο Τμήμα Φοιτητικών Υποθέσεων το αργότερο μέχρι τις 13 Ιουνίου 2014. 3. Αν ενδιαφέρεστε για το DVD της Αποφοίτησης (φωτογραφίες και οπτικογράφηση) επικοινωνήστε με τo Τμήμα Φοιτητικών Υποθέσεων το αργότερο μέχρι τις 13 Ιουνίου 2014. 4. Παραλάβετε και πληρώστε τη στολή της αποφοίτησης από το κατάστημα EUROJET μεταξύ 2 και 13 Ιουνίου 2014 (Γωνία Μακαρίου και Γευγελή 2, Πανόρμα Building, Λευκωσία, 1071, πάροδος Μακαρίου, κοντά στο ξενοδοχείο Hilton Cyprus, τηλ.: 22374327, 22375050). 5. Παραλάβετε τα εισιτήρια για το Πάρτι της Αποφοίτησης από το Τμήμα Φοιτητικών Υποθέσεων μέχρι τις 13 Ιουνίου 2014. Το Πάρτι θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Occhio Venue and Events, την Τετάρτη 25 Ιουνίου 2014 στις 21:30. Η είσοδος για όλους τους απόφοιτους θα είναι δωρεάν. Εισιτήρια για τους προσκεκλημένους των αποφοίτων θα διατίθενται στην τιμή των 32 το άτομο. 6. Παρευρεθείτε απαραιτήτως (προπτυχιακοί και μεταπτυχιακοί φοιτητές) στην πρόβα της Τελετής Αποφοίτησης τη Δευτέρα 23 Ιουνίου 2014. Η συνολική διάρκεια της πρόβας για την αποφοίτηση θα είναι περίπου δύο ώρες. Οι φοιτητές που δεν θα παρευρεθούν στην πρόβα δεν θα μπορέσουν να παρευρεθούν στην Τελετή Αποφοίτησης. 7. Κάθε απόφοιτος θα έχει στη διάθεσή του μέχρι τέσσερις ατομικές προσκλήσεις, τις οποίες θα παραλάβει στην πρόβα της αποφοίτησης.

University of Nicosia Checklist Before the Graduation Ceremony 1. Apply to take part in the Graduation Ceremony online through your personal Student Intranet account before May 16th, 2014. Please pass by the Office A19 no later than May 23rd, 2014 to confirm your attendance at the Graduation Ceremony and to collect the Graduation Clearance Slip which you will have to show at the Eurojet store when collecting your graduation regalia. 2. If you are interested in studio photos, settle the fee at the Student Affairs Department before June 13th, 2014. 3. If you are interested in the DVD (photos and video) please contact the Student Affairs Department before June 13th, 2014. 4. Collect and pay for your regalia from the EUROJET store between 2rd and 13th June, 2014 (Panorma Building, 2 Makariou and Gevgelis Street, Nicosia, 1071, off Makariou Avenue, near Hilton Cyprus hotel, tel.: 22374327, 22375050). 5. Collect tickets for the Graduation Party for you and your guest(s) at the Student Affairs Department by June 13th, 2014. The party will be held on Wednesday, June 25th, 2014, at Occhio Venue and Events, at 21:30. Entrance for all graduates is free. Tickets for the graduates guests will be available at the price of 32 per guest. 6. Attend the Graduation Rehearsal on Monday, June 23rd, 2014. The rehearsal will take approximately two hours. Students who fail to attend the Graduation Rehearsal will not be allowed to attend the Graduation Ceremony. 7. Each graduating student can invite up to four guests. Your invitations will be given to you at the Graduation Rehearsal.

Graduation Ceremony Handbook Graduation Day and Fees

Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας Την Ημέρα της Τελετής Αποφοίτησης 1. Για διατήρηση ομοιομορφίας, οι απόφοιτοι παρακαλούνται να φορέσουν: Μαύρο παντελόνι ή φούστα Άσπρη μπλούζα ή πουκάμισο Γραβάτα (για τους άντρες) Μαύρα παπούτσια Τζιν ρούχα και παπούτσια γυμναστικής ΔΕΝ επιτρέπονται. 2. Όλοι οι απόφοιτοι παρακαλούνται να έρθουν στην Τελετή Αποφοίτησης φορώντας τις στολές τους. Οι απόφοιτοι θα έχουν την ευκαιρία να δοκιμάσουν τη στολή τους κατά την παραλαβή της από το κατάστημα EUROJET. 3. Η φωτογράφιση από επαγγελματία φωτογράφο θα πραγματοποιηθεί στην καφετέρια Millennium από τις 16:15 μέχρι τις 18:15. 4. Στις 18:45 όλοι οι απόφοιτοι πρέπει να μαζευτούν στο σημείο που τους υποδείχτηκε στην πρόβα για να αρχίσει η τελική διάταξη των θέσεων. 5. Η Τελετή αρχίζει στις 19:45 ακριβώς. Για το λόγο αυτό, οι απόφοιτοι θα πρέπει να βεβαιωθούν ότι οι καλεσμένοι τους θα έρθουν στην ώρα τους. Επίσης, θα πρέπει να τους ενημερώσουν ότι δεν πρέπει να πλησιάζουν τη σκηνή για φωτογραφίες. Επαγγελματίες φωτογράφοι έχουν αναλάβει τη λήψη φωτογραφιών και την οπτικογράφηση της τελετής. Το σχετικό DVD θα δοθεί δωρεάν στους απόφοιτους. 6. Η Τελετή Αποφοίτησης θα μεταδίδεται ζωντανά μέσω της ιστοσελίδας μας (www.unic.ac.cy).

University of Nicosia On the Day of the Graduation Ceremony 1. In order to maintain uniformity, graduates are requested to wear the following: Black trousers or skirt White top or shirt Tie (for men) Black shoes NO jeans, sneakers or athletic shoes will be allowed. 2. All graduates are asked to arrive at the Graduation Ceremony fully dressed. Graduates will have the chance to try their graduation regalia when they collect them from the EUROJET store. 3. Studio photos will be taken between 16:15-18:15 in the Millennium Cafeteria. 4. At 18:45 all graduating students should gather in their allocated area, which will be pointed out during the Graduation Rehearsal. 5. Graduates must inform their guests to arrive on time as the Graduation Ceremony begins promptly at 19:45. Also, please inform your guests not to approach the stage to take photos. Professional photographers will photograph and video record the entire Graduation Ceremony. A DVD will be provided to each graduate free of charge. 6. The Graduation Ceremony will be broadcast live on the Internet via the University website (www.unic.ac.cy).

Το ποσό αυτό είναι υποχρεωτικό για όλους τους απόφοιτους άσχετα εάν παρευρεθούν ή όχι στην Τε λετή Αποφοίτησης. Στολή Αποφοίτησης για Απόφοιτους Πτυχίου Bachelor και Master (πληρωτέες στο κατάστημα EUROJET): 34.00 Ενοικίαση Στολής Αποφοίτησης 77.00 Αγορά Στολής Αποφοίτησης Φωτογραφίες τύπου Studio (προαιρετική χρέωση, πληρωτέα στο Τμήμα Φοιτητικών Υποθέσεων). Φωτογράφηση σε Studio που θα στηθεί στην καφετέρια Millen nium τη μέρα της αποφοίτησης από τις 16:15 μέχρι τις 18:15. 35.00 : 4 φωτογραφίες, 10cm x 15cm 2 φωτογραφίες, 15cm x 21cm 2 φωτογραφίες, 20cm x 30cm Όλες οι πληρωμές πρέπει να γίνουν πριν από τις καθορισμένες ημερομηνίες που αναφέρονται στον οδηγό αυτό.

This is a compulsory fee for all graduates, whether they attend the Ceremony or not. Graduation Regalia for Bachelor and Master Degrees (payable at the EUROJET Store): 34.00 Rental of Graduation Regalia 77.00 Purchase of Graduation Regalia Studio Photos (optional, payable at the Student Affairs Dept.)
