Έχουμε σκοπό να εστιάσουμε στις καινοτομίες που έχει να προτείνει η Υπερηχογραφία σήμερα, όπως αυτές εμφανίζονται στις διαφορετικές ιατρικές ειδικότητες που την χρησιμοποιούν. Στη δύσκολη αυτή συγκυρία, το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο της Ελληνικής Εταιρείας Υπερηχογραφίας και η Οργανωτική Επιτροπή του EUROSON SCHOOL, σε συνεργασία με την Ευρωπαϊκή Εταιρεία Υπερηχογραφίας (FSUMB) επιμένουν στη διοργάνωση αυτού του Συνεδρίου. Η οικονομική κρίση που αφορά ιδιαίτερα την Ευρώπη και την Ελλάδα δεν εμποδίζει την πρόοδο της τεχνολογίας, ούτε την εξέλιξη της Υπερηχογραφίας. Παρά τις δύσκολες συνθήκες και τα εμπόδια στη διεκπεραίωση αυτού του επιστημονικού και εκπαιδευτικού στόχου, επιμένουμε στην πραγματοποίηση αυτού του Συνέδριου και ζητάμε την ενεργό παρουσία και συμπαράστασή σας. Σαν ανταπόδοση, η Ελληνική Εταιρεία Υπερηχογραφίας έχει προσκαλέσει στο EUROSON SCHOOL τα περισσότερα επιφανή ονόματα της Υπερηχογραφίας σε όλα της τα διαγνωστικά πεδία και ομιλητές από τα μεγαλύτερα ερευνητικά εργαστήρια στον κόσμο που αναφέρονται στην υπερηχογραφική Ελαστογραφία και τη Θεραπευτική Υπερηχογραφία. Η Υπερηχογραφία επεκτείνεται θεματικά και προσεγγίζει πρακτικά όλα τα όργανα του σώματος έχοντας σημαίνουσα απεικονιστική άποψη για τις περισσότερες παθολογίες που επηρεάζουν τη μορφολογία, την κίνηση, την αιμοδυναμική συμπεριφορά αλλά και την ιστολογική σύνθεση τους. Σκοπός του EUROSON SCHOOL είναι η εκπαίδευση και πρακτική εξάσκηση των γιατρών που συμμετέχουν ώστε να είναι έτοιμοι για άμεση εφαρμογή των νέων Υπερηχογραφικών μεθόδων. Στο Πρακτικό Μέρος που συνοδεύει κάθε Θεματική Ενότητα του Προγράμματος, έχει δοθεί προτεραιότητα στην παρουσία των Υπερηχογράφων που διαθέτουν τις νέες τεχνολογίες, ειδικευμένων γιατρών στις τεχνικές αυτές και ειδικευμένων στελεχών των εταιρειών που παράγουν και διακινούν τα νέα υπερηχογραφικά μηχανήματα. Κεντρική θέση στο EUROSON SCHOOL έχουν η Ελαστογραφία και η Θεραπευτική Υπερηχογραφία. Οι σύγχρονες Ελαστογραφικές εφαρμογές αποτελούν πραγματική καινοτομία. Με την Ελαστογραφία ο Υπερηχογράφος αποκτά νέα δυνατότητα αξιολόγησης και αξιόπιστης μέτρησης της σκληρότητας και της ελαστικότητας των ιστών. Η σύγχρονη Ελαστογραφία απαλλάσσεται από τους περιορισμούς της συμβατικής Ελαστογραφίας. Προστίθεται μία νέα διάσταση στην Υπερηχογραφική εικόνα διάκρισης του παθολογικού ιστού από τον φυσιολογικό, όχι μόνο στα επιφανειακά αλλά και τα εν τω βάθει όργανα. Η ευελιξία, η υπερηχογραφική καθοδήγηση της Ελαστογραφίας και η προσθήκη της νέας Ελαστογραφικής σημειολογίας ισχυροποιούν τη θέση της Υπερηχογραφίας στα διαγνωστικά πρωτόκολλα. Aim of the Conference is to summarize today s Ultrasound Elastography and Therapeutic Ultrasound data, how they are applied in all organs of the body and how they are used from doctors of all specialties. In these difficult circumstances the Board of Directors of the Greek Society of Ultrasound and the Organizing Committee of the EUROSON SCHOOL, in cooperation with the European Society of Ultrasound (EFSUMB) persists in the organization of this Congress. The world economic crisis which concerns both Europe and Greece does not prevent neither the progress of technology nor the evolution of Ultrasound. Despite the difficult circumstances and the obstacles processing of this scientific and educational goal, we insist to organize this Congress and we ask for your active presence and support. In return, the Greek Society of Ultrasound has invited in the EUROSON SCHOOL most of the prominent scientists of Ultrasound in every diagnostic field and speakers from the biggest labs of the world which specialize in Ultrasound Elastography and Therapeutic Ultrasound. Main subjects of the EUROSON SCHOOL are US Elastography and Therapeutic US. There are many forms of Elastography which emerge from different manufacturers and content technologically different applications. These applications are described in the EUROSON SCHOOL and its practical Courses. New Elastography technology adds specific valuable information in the study of all organs, potentially resulting to a virtual biopsy. Elastography, along with the Ultrasound Contrast Agents, opens the road for the arrival of Therapeutic Ultrasound: other equipment, using other frequencies allow the targeted, minimally invasive therapeutic intervention, especially in oncological patients, on both the superficial and the profound organs. Interventional diagnostic and therapeutic operations are the new chapter of Ultrasound. Ultrasound guided biopsies, assisted by Elastography, reach pathological tissue minimizing the traumatic act and restraining the biopsies number, especially in the thyroid and the prostate. The role of the HSUMB, member of the EFSUMB, is to inform and educate on new technologies and applications of Ultrasound. Recent elastographic solutions add diagnostic information about undiscovered until now dimension of tissues. The EUROSON SCHOOL presents, judges and illuminates this recent technological path of US. We try to analyze those new clinical applications and guide the path of Elastography towards Therapeutic Ultrasound.
