In th is paper, the new mode of cacu ating the p ressu re drop in the convergen t fow area is derived on the basis of Bernou i euation, and the simp ified fo rm u a of cacu ating the p ressu re drop in the divergen t fow area is aso p resen ted based on Fo rchheim er euation. T he resu ts of severa cases show that the m ain part of the p ressu re drop takes p ace in the convergen t fow area and the inear fow area, and the p ressu re drop in the divergen t fow area is very itte. T he resu ts aso show that perfo rating param eters and the perm eab iity of packed grave are the key facto rs of affecting the p ressu re drop. T he diam eter of perfo ration channes had better be mo re than 5mm, and perfo ration den sity shou d be above 30 ho es per m eter. T he desta b iizing condition s of co ied tub ing are discu ssed. T he m echan ica mode of the co ied tub ing in the ho e of arb itray track is estab ished, and its boundary condition s in tripou t and tripin operation s are p resen ted. A cco rding to these, it can be determ ined w hether the co ied tub ing can reach to the expected po sition in w ebo re and exert the fo rce designed fo r comp eting the desired w o rk, and the m agn itude and direction of the fo rces bo rne by the co ied tub ing are aso cacu ated to determ ine w hether its w eservice operation is safe. If the fo rces designed fo r the operation can no t be ob tained on y by the w eigh t of the co ied tub ing, a pow er pusher and a pump are reu ired in o rder to supp y h igh p ressu re iu id in to CT. T he param eters incude the p ressu re ratio, fow rate ratio and efficiency. Based on the param eters, the w o rk ing state of the jet pump p roduction system can be deduced, and the fau ts of it can be diagno sed. T he in et p ressu re of the jet pump can aso be ob tained by the p ressu re ratio, and it can be u sed fo r acu iring the p roductivity cu rve of an o i w e. T he fau t diagno sis of the jet pump p roduction system is carried ou t by th is m ethod w ithou t the term ination of pump ing and the dow nho e m easu rem en t of data. Tw o examp es show that the m ethod is feasib e and effective.
