Elastography & Interventional US tud.org.tr Transnational Cooperation The Hellenic Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology in collaboration with the Turkish Society of Ultrasound is organizing a EUROSON SCHOOL entitled Elastography & Interventional Ultrasound on February 15-16, 2014, at Crowne Plaza hotel in Athens. We plan to focus on Ultrasound innovation and how it is used by doctors of all specialties. The EUROSON SCHOOL addresses all modern applications of Ultrasound of all organs and anatomic fields. The faculty is comprised of doctors and biomedical engineers from Turkey and Greece who behold the knowledge and expertise to teach and train attendees in all new Ultrasound techniques. Clinician/Radiologist/Surgeon Aim of the EUROSON SCHOOL is to gather everyone who takes part in deriving a diagnosis and those who plan the therapeutic treatment (the clinician, the radiologist and the surgeon) around the Ultrasound unit, making their collaboration more effective. Ultrasound acquires a bridging role in every level of the Healthcare System and is the combining link of all hospital departments. Technology Vs Gadgets Ultrasound, like any medical technology, evolves rapidly. Ultrasound provides with both useful and theamatic information which do not always have a substantial value. The EUROSON SCHOOL focuses on properly obtaining and using the substantial information. CEUS/Elastography/Interventional Ultrasound During the Practical Courses of the Programme there will be analytical presentations of the Tips & Tricks of Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound Applications, the different Elastography methods, as well as all the secrets of Interventional Ultrasound and its potential to guide a needle, a probe and any pharmaceutical or analgesic apparatus with precision to the point of interest. US Elastography Vs Biopsy Ultrasound Elastography provides essential data to the histological diagnosis non-invasively ( virtual biopsy ). There are restrictions and limitations depending on the organ and pathology. EUROSON SCHOOL proposes ways to resolve these issues. We welcome you to this productive meeting of Doctors, Physicists, Bio-medical Engineers who will present their knowledge and expertise on new advancements in Ultrasound. Pavlos S. Zoumpoulis President Nikos Papantoniou Vice President Konstantinos Vagianos General Secretary Hellenic Society for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology 317 C, Kifissias av., GR 14561 Kifissia, Greece Tel: +30 210 6205129-130 Fax: +30 210 6205119 E-mail: info@hsumb.gr / www.hsumb.gr 3
Elastography & Interventional US tud.org.tr
