4 ATTENZIONE! Il rivelatore ha una durata di 5 ANNI dal momento in cui viene installato. Nel caso dei rivelatori da parete e 01896, la durata può essere prolungata a 10 anni sostituendo, alla scadenza del quinto anno, il sensore interno (VIMAR G sensore per Gas Stop GPL, VIMAR M sensore per Gas Stop Metano). Il sensore può essere sostituito una sola volta e solamente da personale qualificato. Si ricordi di apporre la targhetta con la data di sostituzione nell apposito spazio sul fronte dell apparecchio (per i dispositivi da incasso) o di indicare la data nell apposita etichetta da apporre sul fianco dell apparecchio (per i dispositivi da parete), oltre che nell interno di copertina di questo libretto istruzioni. Verificare prima dell installazione che nel rivelatore sia presente la resistenza di carico collegata ai morsetti 6 e 7 (~ 1 kω). Per il collegamento della elettrovalvola VIMAR o di elettrovalvole normalmente aperte (NO) a riarmo manuale 12 V d.c. 13 W con energia di eccitazione non superiore a 0,4 Joule utilizzare i morsetti 6 e 7 rimuovendo la resistenza di carico. Per il collegamento di elettrovalvole di altro tipo ed eventuali segnalazioni aggiuntive di allarme utilizzare i morsetti relativi al relé di uscita con contatto pulito di scambio e non rimuovere la resistenza di carico dai morsetti 6 e 7 (per la portata del relè vedere il capitolo Caratteristiche tecniche a pag. 13). 5 Per l installatore 1. Installazione Gas Stop Rivolgersi a tecnici autorizzati per le operazioni di installazione, manutenzione ordinaria e straordinaria e per la messa fuori servizio dell apparecchio. Il rivelatore GPL o metano deve essere installato in una posizione interessata dalla circolazione naturale dell aria, a una distanza non superiore a 3-4 m da caldaie, scaldabagni, fornelli, bombole di gas e a una distanza di cm dal piano di calpestio (figura 1 - Gas Stop GPL) o a una distanza di cm dal soffitto (figura 2 - Gas Stop Metano). 6 Il rivelatore GPL o metano non deve essere installato: all aperto vicino a fornelli e apparecchi di cottura vicino a lavandini e rubinetti d acqua vicino ad aspiratori d aria, finestre, ventilatori, ecc. in ambienti eccessivamente umidi o secchi in ambienti dove sporco o polvere possono ostruire le griglie o bloccare il sensore dove la temperatura supera i limiti di funzionamento del rilevatore (da 10 C a +40 C) non installare in spazi chiusi (dietro tende, dentro armadi, ecc.). Collegamenti morsetti L - N: alimentazione 230 V~ ±10% Hz morsetti 6-7: collegamento elettrovalvola VIMAR o elettrovalvola a riarmo manuale NO 12 V d.c. 13 W con energia di eccitazione non superiore a 0,4 Joule previa rimozione della resistenza di carico morsetti : relé di uscita a contatto pulito in scambio per collegamento di segnalazioni aggiuntive di allarme e di elettrovalvole di tipo diverso da quella sopra indicata (morsetti 3-4 se normalmente chiusa; morsetti 4-5 se normalmente aperta) L e N rispettando la polarizzazione (L con L; N con N) e le uscite per l elettrovalvola di ogni rivelatore devono essere collegate in parallelo tra loro, rispettando la numerazione dei morsetti (6 con 6; 7 con 7). In tal modo una fuga di gas in uno qualsiasi degli ambienti provocherà il blocco dell erogazione del gas chiudendo l elettrovalvola, mentre la segnalazione ottico/acustica del rivelatore che ha inviato l impulso elettrico di chiusura indicherà in quale ambiente si è manifestata la fuga di gas (vedere esempio figura 4). Tutte le elettrovalvole devono essere di tipo a riarmo manuale. Qualora non venisse collegata ai morsetti 6 e 7 una elettrovalvola del tipo indicato o la resistenza di carico, il LED giallo del rivelatore lampeggia durante il normale funzionamento ad indicare la mancanza di collegamento; ciò, comunque, non pregiudica le prestazioni del prodotto. Si possono collegare più rivelatori in uno stesso edificio (ambienti diversi) i quali comandino un unica elettrovalvola. In tal caso l alimentazione di ogni rivelatore deve essere portata sui morsetti ITALIANO - 5
8 NOTE Idea: art : art Apparecchi da parete: art Il circuito di alimentazione a 230 V~, l uscita per l elettrovalvola a 12 V d.c. e il relè di uscita a contatto pulito sono separati tra loro da un doppio isolamento. Questo significa che al relè può essere collegata, indifferentemente, un elettrovalvola alimentata a tensione di rete oppure a tensione SELV e che l uscita per l elettrovalvola a 12 V d.c. fornisce una tensione SELV. Eikon: art Arké: art Plana: art Il circuito di alimentazione a 230 V~ e l uscita per l elettrovalvola a 12 V d.c. sono separati tra loro da un doppio isolamento. Questo significa che l uscita fornisce una tensione SELV. Il relè di uscita a contatto pulito è separato da un isolamento singolo. Questo significa che può essere collegata un elettrovalvola alimentata a tensione di rete. Apparecchi da parete: art La durata può essere prolungata a 10 anni sostituendo, alla scadenza del quinto anno, il sensore interno (VIMAR G sensore per Gas Stop GPL, VIMAR M sensore per Gas Stop Metano). Messa in servizio e controllo di funzionamento Controllare che sia presente nell impianto una elettrovalvola di intercettazione del gas e che sia regolarmente collegata Collegare l alimentazione 230 V~ ±10% Hz ai morsetti L e N. Il rivelatore esegue una fase di temporizzazione (PRE-RISCALDO) della durata di circa 60 s nella quale sono inibiti i comandi all elettrovalvola ed al ronzatore: questa fase è segnalata dai LED verde e giallo accesi. Trascorso il tempo di pre-riscaldo il LED giallo si spegne e il rivelatore è pronto per il funzionamento. Per il test di funzionamento tenere la bomboletta Gas di test VIMAR verticale con la valvola verso l alto e l erogatore appoggiato alla griglia inferiore del rivelatore. Azionare una volta l erogatore monodose calibrato per liberare il gas di test: il rivelatore segnala l allarme azionando il ronzatore, accendendo il LED rosso e, dopo 20 s, comandando la chiusura della elettrovalvola collegata con segnale a impulsi ripetuti ogni 15 s sui morsetti 6 e 7 e commutazione del contatto del relé di uscita (morsetti 3-4-5) Allo spegnimento del LED rosso (fine dello stato di allarme), viene disattivato il ronzatore, commutato il contatto sui morsetti e cessano gli impulsi ai morsetti 6 e 7. Ad esito positivo del controllo di funzionamento, ripristinare l erogazione del gas agendo sul riarmo manuale dell elettrovalvola. Note Per eseguire test di funzionamento, utilizzare esclusivamente la bomboletta Gas Test fornita con il rivelatore. Non utilizzare gas erogato da accendini, in quanto danneggia irrimediabilmente il sensore interno Non esporre il dispositivo a: - vapori di solventi - vapori di profumi, candeggina, ammoniaca ecc. - vapori di collanti, colori, siliconi - gas diversi da quello prescritto 12 - ITALIANO

Regole di installazione L installazione deve essere effettuata con l osservanza delle disposizioni regolanti l installazione del materiale elettrico in vigore nel paese dove i prodotti sono installati. Nella rete di alimentazione deve essere prevista una disconnessione omnipolare. NOTA L installazione del rivelatore di gas non esonera dall osservanza di tutte le regole riguardanti le caratteristiche E l installazione degli apparecchi a gas (EN 1775), la ventilazione dei locali e lo scarico dei prodotti della combustione prescritti dalle norme TECNICHE E DALLE DISPOSIZIONI DI LEGGE VIGENTI. 6. 17 Per l utente ATTENZIONE Il rivelatore da Lei acquistato è un prodotto tecnologicamente avanzato, progettato e realizzato secondo le norme tecniche vigenti e le direttive CE. La sua durata è di 5 ANNI dal momento in cui viene installato. Nel caso dei rivelatori da parete e 01896, la durata può essere prolungata a 10 anni sostituendo, alla scadenza del quinto anno, il sensore interno (VIMAR G sensore per Gas Stop GPL, VIMAR M sensore per Gas Stop Metano). Il sensore può essere sostituito una sola volta e solamente da personale qualificato (vedi pag. 2). Legga attentamente le istruzioni utente. Si ricordi di contattare il Suo installatore alla data di scadenza perché provveda alla necessaria sostituzione dell apparecchio. La data di scadenza deve essere apposta sull apparecchio dall installatore utilizzando l apposita targhetta/etichetta al momento della messa in funzione. 18 1. Descrizione Gas Stop GPL e Gas Stop Metano I rivelatori elettronici di GPL e Metano sono adatti a rivelare la presenza in un ambiente di gas GPL e gas liquidi (Gas Stop GPL) o Metano (Gas Stop Metano), in concentrazione anomala molto inferiore alla soglia di pericolosità e ad intervenire sulla elettrovalvola di intercettazione bloccando l erogazione del gas e segnalando con avvisatori ottici (LED) e acustici (ronzatore) che è in atto il rivelamento ed il blocco. Gli avvisatori ottici si trovano sul fronte dell apparecchio e a seconda del loro stato (spento, lampeggiante o acceso ) hanno la funzione di indicare lo stato di funzionamento del rivelatore (come riportato al paragrafo Funzionamento ). L avvisatore acustico (ronzatore) si trova all interno del rivelatore e indica uno stato di allarme (vedi Funzionamento ). La taratura della soglia di intervento al valore stabilito (vedi Caratteristiche ) viene effettuata e sigillata in fabbrica in idonea camera su ogni rivelatore, il quale ha nella scheda elettronica un circuito di compensazione termica previsto perché il livello di sensibilità resti sempre quello di taratura anche al variare delle condizioni ambientali di utilizzo (temperatura, umidità). 2. Funzionamento 3.1 Accensione del rivelatore Nel momento in cui viene acceso (alimentato), il rivelatore esegue una fase di temporizzazione di circa 60 s (pre-riscaldo) nella quale sono inibiti i comandi all elettrovalvola e al ronzatore. Questa fase è segnalata dai LED verde e giallo accesi. 3.2 Funzionamento normale Trascorso il tempo di pre-riscaldo, il LED giallo si spegne mentre il LED verde rimane acceso indicando che il rivelatore è in funzione. 3.3 Allarme Superata la soglia di pericolo 1 (allarme) il LED rosso si accende, il ronzatore emette un suono e, dopo circa 20 s dal perdurare del pericolo, il rivelatore comanda la chiusura dell elettrovalvola e la commutazione del relè. Il comando avviene con segnale a impulsi ripetuti ogni 15 s sui morsetti 6 e 7 e commutazione del contatto del relé di uscita (morsetti 3-4-5). L impulso è segnalato dal LED giallo acceso (flash durante il comando impulsivo dell elettrovalvola). Allo spegnimento del LED rosso (fine dello stato di allarme), viene disattivato il ronzatore, commutato il contatto sui morsetti e cessano gli impulsi ai morsetti 6 e 7. In questo momento è necessario riarmare manualmente l elettrovalvola per ripristinare la normale erogazione del gas. 1. vedi Caratteristiche tecniche - soglia di taratura 18 - ITALIANO
21 Per l utente 4. Anomalie 4.1 Elettrovalvola non collegata Se il LED giallo lampeggia mentre il LED verde è acceso, significa che ai morsetti 6 e 7 non è collegata correttamente l elettrovalvola oppure la resistenza di carico. 4.2 Guasto Nel caso si presentasse un guasto del sensore all interno del rivelatore, il LED giallo si accende fisso. In questo caso è necessario rivolgersi al proprio installatore di fiducia. 5. Controllo periodico VIMAR consiglia di controllare periodicamente il funzionamento del rivelatore, mediante la bomboletta Gas di test VIMAR fornita a corredo, con la modalità seguente: Tenere la bomboletta Gas di test VIMAR verticale con la valvola verso l alto, l erogatore appoggiato alla griglia del rivelatore, quindi azionare una sola volta l erogatore monodose calibrato per liberare il gas di test Dopo qualche istante il rivelatore segnala l allarme azionando il ronzatore, accendendo il LED rosso e comandando la chiusura della elettrovalvola collegata con segnale a impulsi ripetuti ogni 15 s sui morsetti 6 e 7 e commutazione del contatto del relé di uscita (morsetti 3-4-5). Allo spegnimento del LED rosso (fine dello stato di allarme), viene disattivato il ronzatore, commutato il contatto sui morsetti e cessano gli impulsi ai morsetti 6 e 7. Ad esito positivo del controllo di funzionamento, ripristinare l erogazione del gas agendo sul riarmo manuale dell elettrovalvola. Altri metodi di prova (es. accendini, gas diversi) potrebbero danneggiareil sensore e/o inviare segnalazioni errate. ITALIANO - 19
22 6. Comportamento in caso di fuga di gas ATTENZIONE! In caso di allarme mantenere la calma e: Spegnere tutte le fiamme libere e tutti gli apparecchi a gas. Chiudere il rubinetto del contatore del gas o della bombola del GPL Non accendere o spegnere luci; non azionare apparecchi o dispositivi alimentati elettricamente (compresi i rivelatori di gas) Aprire porte e finestre per aumentare la ventilazione dell ambiente Non usare il telefono all interno dell edificio sospetto di presenza di gas Se l allarme cessa è necessario individuare la causa che l ha provocato e provvedere di conseguenza. Se l allarme continua e la causa di presenza di gas non è individuabile o eliminabile abbandonare l immobile e, dall esterno, avvisare il servizio di emergenza. 7. Avvertenze Non manomettere o aprire l apparecchio: pericolo di scossa elettrica o di malfunzionamento Pulire l apparecchio solo con un panno umido. Impedire l ostruzione delle griglie di aerazione Non esporre il dispositivo a: - spray - gas di accendini - vapori di solventi - vapori di profumi, candeggina, ammoniaca - vapori di collanti, colori, siliconi - gas diversi da quello prescelto - vapori diretti di cottura - ecc. Per fare percepire la presenza di gas nell ambiente, i gas GPL e Metano contengono una sostanza odorosa. Questo odore può essere avvertito prima dell intervento del rilevatore che è comunque tarato molto al di sotto del livello di esplosività del gas ITALIANO

The sensor may be replaced one time only and exclusively by a qualified technician. Make sure to fix the plate bearing the replacement date in the space provided on the front of the device (for flush mounting devices) or note it on the label to be stuck on the side of the device (for surface mounting devices), as well as inside the cover of this instruction booklet. Before installation check that the load resistor is fitted inside the detector and that it is connected to terminals 6 and 7 (~ 1 kω). When connecting up the VIMAR solenoid valve or the manually resettable 12 V d.c. 13 W solenoid valves (usually open (NO)), with maximum excitation energy of 0.4 joule, use terminals 6 and 7, removing the load resistor. For connecting other types of solenoid valve and additional alarms, use terminals with the clean change-over contact output relay and do not remove the load resistor on terminals 6 and 7 (for the relay capacity, refer to the chapter Technical data on page 13). Installation Gas Stop Apply to authorized technicians for all installation and any routine and non-routine maintenance operation as well as for the replacement of the detector at the end of its life-time. The LPG/methane detector must be installed in a position in which air circulates freely, at a distance of no more than 3-4 m from boilers, water heaters, stoves and gas canisters and at cm above floor level (figure 1 - Gas Stop GPL) or cm from the ceiling (figure 2 - Gas Stop Metano). It is possible to connect up more than one detector in the same building (different rooms), controlling one single solenoid valve. In this case, the voltage supply of each detector must be connected up to terminals L and N, respecting polarisation (L with L; N with N) and the outputs for the solenoid valve of each detector must be parallel connected, respecting the numbers on the terminals (6 with 6; 7 with 7). In this way, a gas leak in any of the rooms will cause the gas supply to be interrupted, closing the solenoid valve, while the optical/acoustic warning on the detector responsible for the electronic switch-off pulse will indicate the room where the gas leak has taken place (see example figure 4). If the solenoid valve or the load resistor connected to the terminals 6 and 7 are not of the above indicated type, the yellow LED of the detector will be flashes during normal operation to signal the lack of connection; this, however, does not impair the performance of the equipment. 34 3. Installation and operating control Check that the plant is fitted with a gas cut-out solenoid valve and that it is correctly connected. Connect the 230 V~ ±10% Hz voltage to the terminals L and N. The detector runs an approx. 60 s timed PRE-HEATING cycle during which the solenoid valve and buzzer are inhibited: this cycle is indicated by both the green LED and yellow LED ON. Once the preheating cycle has terminated, the yellow LED turns off and the detector is operational. To test the device, hold the VIMAR test gas canister vertically with the valve uppermost and the nozzle against the detector's lower grille. Operate the single-dose calibrated nozzle to release the test gas: the detector will buzz, its red LED will turn ON and, after 20 seconds, it will close the solenoid valve with a repeated pulse signal every 15 s on terminals 6 and 7 while switching the output relay contact (terminals 3-4-5) When the red LED goes out (end of the alarm state), the buzzer is switched off, the contact on terminals is commutated and the pulses to terminals 6 and 7 cease. If the operating check is successful, the gas supply will be switched on again by resetting the solenoid valve manually. Notes For carrying out operational test, using exclusively the "Gas Test" cylinder delivered with detector. The detector has a lifetime of 5 years from the time it is installed. For surface detectors and 01896, the service life may be extended to 10 years by replacing the sensor after 5 years (VIMAR G sensor for Gas Stop GPL, VIMAR M sensor for Gas Stop Metano). Description Gas Stop GPL and Gas Stop Metano The LPG/methane electronic gas detectors are intended to detect the presence in a room of liquid and LPG gas (Gas Stop GPL) or methane (Gas Stop Metano), in concentrations far below the danger threshold, and to operate the solenoid valve to cut off gas delivery and issue a visual (LED) and acoustic (buzzer) warning. The optical signals are located on the front of the equipment and indicate, according to their state (off, flashing or on ) the operating mode of the detector (as shown in the paragraph Operations ). The alarm buzzer is inside the detector and sounds to indicate an alarm condition (see Operation ). Calibration of the sensitivity of the specified value (see Characteristics ), for each detector, is set and sealed at the factory, in a special gas chamber. Each detector is supplied with a thermal compensation circuit, in its electronic card, which maintains sensitivity at the calibrated level even when ambient conditions (temperature, humidity) change. 2. Operations 3.1 Starting up the detector When it is switched on, the detector runs an approx. 60 s timed PRE-HEATING cycle during which the solenoid valve and buzzer are inhibited: this cycle is indicated by both the green LED and yellow LED ON. 3.2 Normal operations Once the preheating cycle has terminated, the yellow LED turns off and the green LED stays on, to indicate that the detector is operational. 3.3 Alarm Once danger threshold 1 has been exceeded (alarm) the red LED turns on, the buzzer sounds and, if the danger condition persists for more than 20 s, the detector closes the solenoid valve and switches the relay. The command is given by means of a pulse which is repeated every 15 seconds, sent to terminals 6 and 7 and by commutation of the output relay contact (terminals 3-4-5). The pulse is indicated by the yellow LED (flashing during the pulse signal to the solenoid valve). When the red LED goes out (end of the state of alarm), the buzzer is switched off, the contact on terminals is commutated and the pulses to terminals 6 and 7 stop. It is now necessary to reset the solenoid valve by hand in order to reinstate the normal gas supply. 1. see Technical characteristics - operating threshold 18 - ENGLISH

Anomalies 4.1 Solenoid valve not connected If the yellow LED flashes while the green LED is on, this indicates that the solenoid valve or load resistor is not correctly connected to terminals 6 and Fault If the detector's internal sensor malfunctions, the yellow LED turns on and stays on. Contact your installer to have it serviced. 5. Periodical checks VIMAR recommends that the detector should be checked periodically using the VIMAR test gas cylinder supplied with the equipment. Proceed as follows: Hold the VIMAR test gas canister vertically with the valve uppermost and the nozzle against the detector's grille, then operate the single-dose calibrated nozzle once to release the test gas. After a few seconds, the detector will activate the alarm buzzer, lighting up the red LED and closing the solenoid valve and output relay by means of a pulse signal repeated at 15 second intervals on the terminals 6 and 7 and by commutating the output relay contact (terminals 3-4-5). When the red LED goes out (end of the alarm state) the buzzer will stop and the contact on terminals will be switched off, stopping the pulses at terminals 6 and 7. After successfully carrying out the operating check, turn on the gas supply again using the manual reset on the solenoid valve. Other test methods (e.g. lighters, other gases) can damage the sensor and/or result in incorrect indications. ENGLISH - 19
42 6. How to behave in the event of a gas leak CAUTION! In case of an alarm, keep calm and: Turn off all open flames and all gas appliances Close the tap on the gas meter or on the LPG cylinder Do not turn any lights on or off; do not switch on any electrical equipment or devices (compresi i rivelatori di gas) Open doors and windows to increase ventilation Do not use the phone inside a building in which there is a suspected gas leak If the alarm stops the cause must be found immediately and the necessary measures taken. If the alarm continues and the cause of the gas leak cannot be found or eliminated, leave the building and notify the emergency services, once outside. 7. Warnings Do not tamper with or open the device: electric shock hazard, danger of damage to the detector. Clean the device only with a damp cloth. Keep the aeration grilles free of obstructions. Do not expose the device to: - sprays - cigarette lighter gas - solvent vapour - perfume vapour, bleach, ammonia, etc. - glue, colours and silicones vapours - other gases from that prescribed - direct cooking vapours - etc. In order to warn of gas leaks, LPG and methane gases contain an odorous substance. This odour may be noticed before the detector operates, although the latter is calibrated to operate far below the gas explosion threshold ENGLISH

46 Le détecteur GPL ou méthane ne doit pas être installé : en plein air près de réchauds et de cuisinières près de lavabos et de robinets près d aspirateurs d'air, fenêtres, ventilateurs, etc. dans les locaux excessivement humides ou secs dans les locaux où les salissures ou la poussière puissent obstruer les grilles ou bloquer le capteur où la température dépasse les limites de fonctionnement du détecteur (de 10 C à +40 C) ne pas installer dans les espaces fermés (derrière les rideaux, dans les armoires etc...). Si l électrovanne ou la résistance de charge connectées aux bornes 6 et 7 ne sont pas du type indiqué, la LED jaune du détecteur clignote pendant le fonctionnement normal à signaler l absence de connexion; cela, toutefois, ne compromet pas la performance de l appareil.
