The common analytical methods of spectrophotometry, atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS), atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS) were used to determine total mercury. Meanwhile, the advantages and drawbacks of such methods were compared, and the prospects of determination of total mercury were forecasted.
