Rre Metl Mterils nd Engineering()[J],, (9): 9 Effet of Mixed Powder Ultrsoni Virtion on Surfe Struture nd Mehnil Properties of Ti-Al-V in Eletro-Dishrge Mhining Zhng Yunpeng, Sun Gungio, Zhng Anzhou (Northwestern Polytehnil University, Xi n 77, Chin) Astrt: The effet of mixed powder ultrsoni virtion on the surfe struture nd the mehnil properties of Ti-Al-V in Eletro-Dishrge Mhining (EDM) were studied. The surfe roughness, the residul stress nd the miro hrdness of Ti-Al-V simples mhined y onventionl EDM, powder mixed EDM (PMEDM) nd omintion proess of powder mixed EDM with ultrsoni mhining (PMEDM+USM) were mesured, respetively. The rest lyers nd the surfe rks of smples mhined y EDM, PMEDM nd PMEDM+USM were oserved y SEM, the quntittive nlysis of eh element of smples mhined y PMEDM nd PMEDM+USM ws performed y energy spetrum nlyzer. The effet mehnism of dded Al nd SiC powder in kerosene nd ultrsoni virtion of eletrode on the surfe struture nd the mehnil properties of Ti-Al-V mhined y PMEDM+USM were lso disussed. The results show tht the surfe struture nd the mehnil properties of Ti-Al-V re improved y PMEDM+USM. With under the effets of the eletrode ultrsoni virtion nd SiC dded in kerosene, the surfe roughness dereses y R. μm, the rest lyer redues y μm, the surfe residul stress dereses y MP, nd the surfe hrdness inreses from 7 to 987 MP thn PMEDM.
