Hapax in the NT. ἀγνοοῦσιν present active participle ἀγνοέω = to be uninformed about, not to know, be ignorant (of); to pay little or not attention to, not to recognize, disregard, ignore; to fail to understand, with implication of lack of capacity or ability, not to understand; to be unaware about one s wrongdoing, lapse/do wrong/sin unintentionally under BDAG 12b.

4 κραυγή, ῆς, ἡ = a loud cry or call, shout, shout(ing), clamor (of excited persons); a loud (articulate) cry; outcry in grief or anxiety, wailing, crying under BDAG 565b. ἰσχυρός, ά, όν = pertaining to being strong physically, mentally, or spiritually; pertaining to being high on a scale of extent as respects strength or impression that is made, violent, loud, mighty under BDAG 483b. δάκρυον, ου, τό = fluid that drops from the eye, tear under BDAG 211a. προσενέγκας aorist active participle προσφέρω. Note this is a verb that uses a different stem for different tense-forms. εἰσακουσθεὶς aorist passive participle εἰσακούω = to obey on the basis of having listened carefully, obey; to listen, with implication of heeding and responding, hear; (with reference to a prayer) under BDAG 293b. εὐλάβεια, ας, ἡ = reverent awe in the presence of God, awe, fear of God under BDAG 407b. (5:8) ἔμαθεν aorist active μανθάνω = to gain knowledge or skill by instruction, learn; make the acquaintance of something, learn; find out, ascertain; to come to a realization, with implication of taking place less through instruction than through experience or practice, learn, appropriate to oneself; hear under BDAG 615a. Compare the aorist tense stem μαθ- to μανθάνω. ἔπαθεν aorist active πάσχω = experience, be treated under BAGD 633b. ὑπακοή, ῆς, ἡ = a state of being in compliance, obedience; reply made to a question, answer under BDAG 1028b. Grammatical note = Participles. Concession. With a concessive participle the state or action of the main verb takes place in spite of the circumstances related to the participle. In other words because of the situation describes by the participle one would not normally expect the action of the main verb to be realized. In translation the terms although, even though, or though are added to the beginning of the phrase to convey the concessive idea. Occasionally the particles καιτοι, καιπερ or και γε are used to clarify the concessive force of the participle.

(5:10) προσαγορευθεὶς aorist passive participle προσαγορεύω = to say hello, greet; to refer to someone by name or some other term, call, name, designate under BDAG 875b.
