The effects of thermoplastic polyurethane on the dehydrochlorination of t he blends mixed wit h different organotin t hermal stabilizers were investigated emp hatically. Meanwhile,t he stabilizing effect s of mercaptan and non - mercaptan kinds of organotin t hermal stabilizers were compared. Furt hermore,t he effect s of organotin t hermal stabilizers cooperating wit h metal soap stabilizers and epoxidized soybean oil on t he blends were also investigated. The experi2 mental result s showed t hat : in TPUΠPVC blending system, not only did t hermoplastic polyuret hane play a role of diluting agent, but also promoted t he decomposition of PVC during t he dehydrochlori2 nation of PVC t he t hermal stabilizers could effectively cont rol t he dehydrochlorination rate of PVC in TPUΠPVC blends among the chosen three kinds of organotin thermal stabilizers,the effects of mercap2 tan stabilizers were better than that of non - mercaptan stabilizers and the effects of 395A and T - 137 were the best there were synergistic reactions of DB TL with CaSt 2 or with epoxidized soybean oil.
