FORTHCOMING EVENTS CHURCH ATTENDANCE Years 10-12: Sunday 4 May, 9.30am Years 7-9: Sunday, 11 May, 9. 30am LITERACY and NUMERACY TESTS As part of the National Assessment Program, national tests in literacy and numeracy for years 7&9 will take place over three days beginning on Tuesday, 13 May and finishing on Thursday, 15 May. These tests will replace the current State based assessments. GREEK ORTHODOX CARNIVAL The annual Orthodox Carnival begins on Wednesday, 7 May till Friday, 9 May. This year it is hosted by Saint Spyridon College. We wish our students good luck as they compete in various sports, such as soccer, basketball and netball. The students will enjoy a Language and Social Evening. Good luck to all competitors! MOTHERS DAY HALF YEARLY EXAMINATIONS Year 11 half yearly examinations will be held from Monday, 26 May to Friday, 30 May. Years 7 & 8 examinations will begin on Monday, 2 June to Friday, 6 June. All students are advised to begin revising and summarising. Studies have shown that when students cram, information is placed in short term memory, which only lasts for a little while! Therefore, the more information that is revised and summarized well in advance of examinations, it will be better retained in long term memory, thus students will spend less time memorising and restudying. On Sunday, May 11 we honour all mothers for their love support and dedication to their families! OPEN NIGHT The High School Open Night will be held on Wednesday, 21 May at 7.OOpm All families are welcome to attend and experience the diverse academic and co curricular opportunities that the school offers to all students. Classroom visits and tours of the school will be conducted on the evening. We wish all students good luck!
St. Euphemia College Ball St. Euphemia College invites all families and friends of the school to attend its major fundraising event of the year, the School Ball. The ball will be held in the School Hall on Saturday, 21 June 2008 and tickets will be available for purchase from the school office.
