Participation in scientific and research programmes: 1. I received a grant from the Special Account for Research of the University of Crete and completed a research project (2010-2011) entitled: Comparing Natural History Museum Programmes for preschool children: the case of the Natural History Museum of the University of Crete and of the Great North Museum: Hancock of University of Newcastle upon Tyne, England. 3. I participated as a tutor in the ΔΑΣΤΑ programme (rewarded teaching practice for students) during 2010-2011 and 2011-2012. The programme coordinator is V. Oikonomidis, senior lecturer of the Department of Preschool Education, University of Crete. 4. I participated in the design and application of the programme entitled Education for pupils who are non-native Greek speakers in the project 5 Reinforcing pupils mother tongue of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki during 2010-2011 and 2011-2012. The programme coordinator is Professor A. Anastasiadi Simeonidi at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. 5. I organized and offered a lab session entitled A child-friendly approach to teaching children about Compound words: The case of compound words in English for the Intensive Program (IP) Language learning and language teaching in multicultural environments: how to bring language diversity and language variation in class (LaDiVa) in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013.
