Ερευνητική δραστηριότητα Η ερευνητική µου δραστηριότητα επικεντρώνεται στη µελέτη των εκτεταµένων δοµικών ατελειών των στερεών και των ιδιοτήτων τους, µε τις τεχνικές της Ηλεκτρονικής Μικροσκοπίας. Ειδικότερα περιλαµβάνει: α) Ανάπτυξη και βελτίωση µεθόδων για τον ακριβή προσδιορισµό των παραµέτρων περιγραφής των διεπιφανειών κρυσταλλιτών µε την τεχνική της συµβατικής Ηλεκτρονικής Μικροσκοπίας (CTEM). β) Μελέτη των ιδιοτήτων της µικροδοµής υλικών καθώς και οµοφασικών και ετεροφασικών διεπιφανειών σε µικροσκοπική και νανοσκοπική κλίµακα µε CTEM. γ) Μελέτη και ανάλυση της µικροδοµής υλικών και ετεροδοµών σε ατοµική κλίµακα, µε Ηλεκτρονική µικροσκοπία υψηλής διακριτικής ικανότητας (HREM). δ) Προσοµοίωση και επεξεργασία εικόνων ατελειών δοµής συµβατικής Ηλεκτρονικής Μικροσκοπίας και Ηλεκτρονικής Μικροσκοπίας υψηλής διακριτικής ικανότητας. ε) Μελέτη δοµών και σφαλµάτων διεπιφανειών των κρυσταλλικών στερεών µε κρυσταλλογραφικές µεθόδους και παρατηρήσεις ηλεκτρονικής µικροσκοπίας στ) Μικροδοµικός χαρακτηρισµός βιοµηχανικών αποβλήτων µετά από διεργασίες υαλοποίησης και αδρανοποίησης. 3. ιδακτική δραστηριότητα α) ιδασκαλία µαθήµατος Εργαστήριο Γενικής Φυσικής στο Τµηµα Φυσικής του ΑΠΘ (1983 - σήµερα) β) ιδασκαλία του µαθήµατος της Φυσικής στο Τµήµα Κτηνιατρικής του ΑΠΘ (1988-σήµερα) γ) ιδασκαλία του µαθήµατος της Φυσικής στο Τµήµα Γεωπονίας του ΑΠΘ (1988 - σήµερα) δ) ιδασκαλία του µαθήµατος «οµικός χαρακτηρισµός υλικών µε τις τεχνικές της Ηλεκτρονικής µικροσκοπίας» στο Πρόγραµµα µεταπτυχιακών σπουδών «Φυσική Υλικών» του Τµήµατος Φυσικής (1995 - σήµερα).
