Be able to convey the sense of the case used, along with the meaning of the individual noun. Be able to parse (e.g., identify gender, case, and number) the nouns and adjectives studied so far. For a complete listing of the parsing abbreviations used throughout, see the front matter.) 3. Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ = Jesus Christ (MGS proper noun. Throughout these exercises, proper names generally appear without explanation, for in most cases the English spelling is simply a transliteration from Greek.
