Check leakage as described below. LEAKAGE TEST The AC leakage from any exposed metal part to earth ground and from all exposed metal parts to any exposed metal part having a return to chassis, must not exceed 0. ma (00 microampers.). Leakage current can be measured by any one of three methods.. A commercial leakage tester, such as the Simpson 9 or RCA WT-40A. Follow the manufacturers instructions to use these instruments.. A battery-operated AC milliammeter. The Data Precision 4 digital multimeter is suitable for this job.. Measuring the voltage drop across a resistor by means of a VOM or battery-operated AC voltmeter. The limit indication is 0.7 V, so analog meters must have an accurate lowvoltage scale. The Simpson 0 and Sanwa SH-6Trd are examples of a passive VOM that is suitable. Before you use your remote Inserting batteries into the remote Insert R6 (size-aa) batteries with the + and properly oriented in the battery compartment. When using the remote, point it at the remote sensor on the receiver. Tip Under normal conditions, the batteries should last for about 6 months. When the remote no longer operates the receiver, replace all batteries with new ones. Notes Do not leave the remote in an extremely hot or humid place. Do not use a new battery with an old one. Do not expose the remote sensor to direct sunlight or lighting apparatuses. Doing so may cause a malfunction. If you don t use the remote for an extended period of time, remove the batteries to avoid possible damage from battery leakage and corrosion. FACTORY PRESET MODE * All preset contents are reset to the default setting. * Procedure: While depressing the [FM MODE] and the [DISPLAY] buttons simultaneously, press the?/ button to turn on the main power. The message FACTORY appears for a moment and the present contents are reset to the default values. AM CHANNEL STEP 9 khz/0 khz SELECTION MODE (US, Canadian, E model only) * Either the 9 khz step or 0 khz step can be selected for the AM channel step. * Procedure: Press the [AM] (STR-DE98) or [TUNER FM/AM] (STR-DE698/ DV0) button to set AM and press the?/ button to turn off the main power. While depressing the [PRESET TUNING +] button or the [TUNING +] button, press the?/ button to turn on the main power.
