Θα προηγηθεί εσπερινός που θα αρχίσει στις 6.00 μ.μ. το απόγευμα και κατά τον οποίο θα ψάλλουν οι μοναχές, στα Ελληνικά. Ο αριθμός των εισιτηρίων είναι περιορισμένος γι αυτό καλέστε την Ολυμπία Αγρανιώτη ( ), για να κλείσετε τα δικά σας. Τιμή εισιτηρίου: 25 δολ. για τα μέλη και 30 δολ. για τα μη μέλη. "Γαλήνη" παρέα 3 Μαΐου Προσκαλείσθε να συμμετάσχετε στις συναντήσεις της ομάδας «Γαλήνη» η οποία δέχεται μέλη της Κοινότητας με ή χωρίς κινητικές δυσκολίες. Εκδρομή στο Μοναστήρι «Παναγία Παρηγορήτισσα» - 6 Μαΐου Το Κατηχητικό Σχολείο και οι Ομάδες Νεολαίας θα επισκεφθούν το Μοναστήρι «Παναγία Παρηγορήτισσα» την Κυριακή, 6 Μαΐου. Το λεωφορείο θα αναχωρήσει από την Κοινότητα στις 7.50 το πρωί και θα επιστρέψει στις 3.30 το απόγευμα. Το εισιτήριο είναι 10 δολ. για τα παιδιά και 15 δολ. για τους ενήλικες. Το ποσό αυτό θα καλύψει ένα μέρος του εισιτηρίου με λεωφορείο Coach και μία μικρή δωρεά προς το μοναστήρι για το δωρεάν γεύμα που θα προσφέρει. Το ταξίδι απευθύνεται σε παιδιά του Κατηχητικού Σχολείου και τις δασκάλες τους καθώς και στις Ομάδες Νεολαίας. Κοινοτικές Συνδρομές Η Επιτροπή Συνδρομών ευχαριστεί όλους όσοι ανανέωσαν την συνδρομή τους για το 2018 και επιθυμεί να υπενθυμίσει σε όσους δεν την έχουν ανανεώσει ακόμα ότι από την 1 η Μαΐου το ποσό της συνδρομής αυξάνεται. And all the residents of Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord. Now there was at Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which means Dorcas. She was full of good works and acts of charity. Great Vespers of the Ascension in Brockville May 16th The Great Vespers of the Ascension will be celebrated at the Greek Orthodox Church of Ascension (Analipsis) in Brockville on Wednesday, May 16th at 5:00p.m. The Hellenic Community of Brockville will have dinner and refreshments available for purchase following the service. Everyone is encouraged to attend this beautiful service and also enjoy the hospitality of the Brockville Hellenic Community. Panagia the Comforter Monastery Fundraising Dinner- May 19th Panagia the Comforter Monastery Fundraising Dinner will be held on Saturday May 19th at the St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral Hall. Join us for this rewarding evening starting with vespers chanted in Greek by the sisters of the monastery at 6:00pm, followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for kids (age 12 and under). The monies raised will help with the ongoing construction project to finish building the monastery which will benefit the nuns living there as well as provide a place for guests to stay. Trip to Panagia Parigoritissa Monastery May 6th The Sunday School & Youth Groups are planning a day trip to the Panagia Parigoritissa Monastery on Sunday, May 6th. The bus will be leaving our community centre at 7:50 a.m. and returning by 3:30 p.m. The cost of the trip will be $10 per child, $15 per adult to cover some of the trip expenses for the coach bus and also to make a small donation to the Monastery as they will be providing lunch. This trip is open to the Sunday School children, teachers, J.O.Y. and G.O.Y.A. If there is room on the bus we can take parents. Fr. Alex will be accompanying everyone. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, in Hebrew called Bethesda which has five porticoes. In these lay a multitude of invalids, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water; for an angel of the Lord went down at certain seasons into the pool, and troubled the water; whoever stepped in first after the troubling of the water was healed of whatever disease he had. One man was there, who had been ill for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him and knew that he had been lying there a long time, he said to him, "Do you want to be healed?" The sick man answered him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is troubled, and while I am going another steps down before me." Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your pallet, and walk." And at once the man was healed, and he took up his pallet and walked. Now that day was the sabbath. So the Jews said to the man who was cured, "It is the sabbath, it is not lawful for you to carry your pallet." But he answered them, "The man who healed me said to me, 'Take up your pallet, and walk.' "They asked him, "Who is the man who said to you, 'Take up your pallet, and walk'?" Όταν θα πρέπει να πάρεις μια απόφαση πάρτην όσο πιο σωστά και όσο πιο σοφά μπορείς και ύστερα ξέχασέ την. Γιατί η στιγμή της απόλυτης βεβαιότητας δε θα φτάσει ποτέ. Και πάνω από όλα να θυμάσαι ότι ο Θεός βοηθά όσους βοηθούν τον εαυτό τους. Στη ζωή σου, να πορεύεσαι σαν και να εξαρτώνται όλα από εσένα αλλά να προσεύχεσαι σαν να εξαρτώνται όλα από το Θεό.
