Ἐμ ὕςνπο θαηῆιζεο ὁ εὔζπιαγρλνο, ηαθὴλ θαηαδέμσ ηξηήκεξνλ, ἵλα ἡκᾶο ἐιεπζεξώζῃο ηῶλ παζῶλ. Ἡ δσὴ θαὶ ἡ Ἀλάζηαζηο ἡκῶλ, Κύξηε δόμα ζνη. Apolytikion for Gregory the Theologian in the First Mode The shepherd's pipe of thy theology conquered the trumpets of the philosophers; for since thou didst search out the depths of the Spirit, beauty of speech was added to thee. But intercede with Christ God, O Father Gregory, that our souls be saved. Ὁ πνηκεληθὸο αὐιὸο ηῆο ζενινγίαο ζνπ, ηὰο ηῶλ ῥεηόξσλ ἐλίθεζε ζάιπηγγαο, ὡο γὰξ ηὰ βάζε ηνῦ Πλεύκαηνο ἐθδεηήζαληη, θαὶ ηὰ θάιιε ηνῦ θζέγκαηνο πξνζεηέζε ζνί. Ἀιιὰ πξέζβεπε Χξηζηῷ ηῶ Θεῷ, Πάηεξ Γξεγόξηε, ζσζῆλαη ηὰο ςπρὰο ἡκῶλ. Apolytikion for the Church Like a most fruitful olive tree you did blossom forth in the folds of the Lord, Sophia, martyr most pious! And to Christ you did bring sweetest fruit: the tender sprouts of your womb, through divine martyrdom, Agape, along with Hope and Faith. The God-minded with whom do you pray to God for all of us. Seasonal Kontakion in the First Tone Your birth sanctified a Virgin's womb and properly blessed the hands of Symeon. Having now come and saved us O Christ our God, give peace to Your commonwealth in troubled times and strengthen those in authority, whom You love, as only the loving One. Ὁ κήτραν παρθενικὴν ἁγιάςασ τῶ ηόκω ςου, καὶ ρείρασ τοῦ Σπκεὼν εὐλογήςασ ὡσ ἔπρεπε, προφθάςασ καὶ λὺν ἔςωςασ ἡμᾶσ Χριςτὲ ὁ Θεόσ. Ἀλλ' εἰρήνευςον ἐν πολέμοισ τὸ πνιίτευμα, καὶ θξαηαίωςον Βαςιλεῖσ οὓσ ἠγάπηςασ, ὁ κόνοσ φιλάνθρωποσ.

2 Epistle Reading The Reading is from St. Paul's Letter to the Hebrews 7:26-28; 8:1-2 Brethren, it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, blameless, unstained, separated from sinners, exalted above the heavens. He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people; he did this once for all when he offered up himself. Indeed, the law appoints men in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made perfect for ever. Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, a minister in the sanctuary and the true tent which is set up not by man but by the Lord. Πρὸς Ἑβραίοσς 7:26-28; 8:1-2 Ἀδειθνί, ηνηνῦηνο γὰξ ἡκῖλ ἔπξεπελ ἀξρηεξεύο, ὅζηνο, ἄθαθνο, ἀκίαληνο, θερσξηζκέλνο ἀπὸ ηῶλ ἁκαξησιῶλ, θαὶ ὑςειόηεξνο ηῶλ νὐξαλῶλ γελόκελνο ὃο νὐθ ἔρεη θαζʼ ἡκέξαλ ἀλάγθελ, ὥζπεξ νἱ ἀξρηεξεῖο, πξόηεξνλ ὑπὲξ ηῶλ ἰδίσλ ἁκαξηηῶλ ζπζίαο ἀλαθέξεηλ, ἔπεηηα ηῶλ ηνῦ ιανῦ ηνῦην γὰξ ἐπνίεζελ ἐθάπαμ, ἑαπηὸλ ἀλελέγθαο. Ὁ λόκνο γὰξ ἀλζξώπνπο θαζίζηεζηλ ἀξρηεξεῖο, ἔρνληαο ἀζζέλεηαλ ὁ ιόγνο δὲ ηῆο ὁξθσκνζίαο ηῆο κεηὰ ηὸλ λόκνλ, πἱὸλ εἰο ηὸλ αἰῶλα ηεηειεησκέλνλ. 3 Gospel Reading 15th Sunday of Luke The Reading is from Luke 19:1-10 At that time, Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. And there was a man named Zacchaios; he was a chief collector, and rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not, on account of the crowd, because he was small of stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaios, make haste and come down; for I must stay at your house today." So he made haste and came down, and received him joyfully. And when they saw it they all murmured, "He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner." And Zacchaios stood and said to the Lord, "Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have defrauded any one of anything, I restore it fourfold." And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man came to seek and to save the lost." Καηὰ Λνπθᾶν Τῷ θαηξῷ ἐκείνῳ, δηήρχετο τὴν Ιεριχώ θαὶ ἰδοὺ ἀνὴρ ὀνόματι καλούμενοσ Ζαθραῖοσ, καὶ αὐτὸσ ἦν ἀρχιτελώνησ, καὶ νὗτοσ ἦν πλούςιοσ, θαὶ ἐζήτει ἰδεῖν τὸν Ιηςοῦν τίσ ἐςτι, καὶ νὐκ ἠδύνατο ἀπὸ ηνῦ ὄχλου, ὅτι τῇ ἡλικίᾳ κηθξὸσ ἦν. θαὶ πξνδξακὼν ἔμπροςθεν ἀνέβη ἐπὶ ζπθνκνξέαν, ἵνα ἴδῃ αὐτόν, ὅτι ἐκείνησ ἤμελλε διέρχεςθαι. θαὶ ὡσ ἦλθεν ἐπὶ ηὸν ηόπον, ἀναβλέψασ ὁ Ιηςοῦσ εἶδεν αὐτὸν θαὶ εἶπε πρὸσ αὐτόν Ζακχαῖε, ζπεύςασ κατάβηθι ςήμερον γὰρ ἐν τῷ νἴκῳ ζνπ δεῖ κε κεῖναι. θαὶ ζπεύςασ θαηέβη, καὶ ὑπεδέξατο αὐτὸν ραίρων. θαὶ ἰδόντεσ πάντεσ διεγόγγυζον ιέγοντεσ ὅτι παρὰ ἁμαρτωλῷ ἀνδρὶ εἰςῆλθε θαηαιῦςαι. ζηαζεὶσ δὲ Ζαθραῖοσ εἶπε πξὸσ τὸν Κύριον ἰδοὺ ηὰ ἡμίςη τῶν ὑπαρχόντων μου, Κύριε, δίδωμι τοῖσ πησρνῖσ, καὶ εἴ ηηλόσ τι ἐςυκοφάντηςα, ἀποδίδωμι τετραπλοῦν. εἶπε δὲ πξὸσ αὐτὸν ὁ Ιηςοῦσ ὅτι ςήμερον ςωτηρία τῷ νἴκῳ ηνύτῳ ἐγένετο, καθότι θαὶ αὐτὸσ πἱὸσ Αβραάμ ἐςτιν. ἦλθε γὰρ ὁ πἱὸσ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ζητῆςαι θαὶ ζῶςαι τὸ ἀπολωλόσ.
