Κατά τη διάρκεια των Πανεπιστηµιακών µου σπουδών έπαιρνα υποτροφία του Ι.Κ.Υ. 1973-1974: Εργάστηκα ως ερευνητής στο Εργαστήριο Βιοχηµείας του Πανεπιστηµίου Πατρών, όπου εκπόνησα τη διδακτορική µου διατριβή. 1975: Εργάστηκα στο Ινστιτούτο Pasteur στο Παρίσι µε υποτροφία της Ευρωπαϊκής Οργάνωσης Μοριακής Βιολογίας (ΕΜΒΟ). 1976: Εργάστηκα στο National Institute for Medical Research του Medical Research Council (MRC) στο Λονδίνο, µε υποτροφία της Royal Society. 1976: Πήρα το διδακτορικό µου δίπλωµα µε βαθµό Άριστα.

4 1976-1980: Εργάστηκα στο National Institute for Medical Research του Medical Research Council (MRC) στο Λονδίνο, στο Εργαστήριο Βιοχηµείας της Ανάπτυξης. Οι ερευνητικές µου δραστηριότητες υποστηρίχθηκαν κατά σειρά από την EMBO, την Wellcome Trust Foundation και το Medical Research Council. 1981: Εργάστηκα στο εργαστήριο Γενετικής Μηχανικής του Ινστιτούτου Μοριακής Βιολογίας του Πανεπιστηµίου της Ζυρίχης, µε υποτροφία της ΕΜΒΟ. 1982: Υπηρέτησα τη στρατιωτική µου θητεία. 1982-1984: Εργάστηκα στο Εθνικό Ίδρυµα Ερευνών, Κέντρο Βιολογικό Ερευνών. 1983: Υποψήφιος υφηγητής στο Πανεπιστήµιο Αθηνών. Η διαδικασία δεν ολοκληρώθηκε λόγω εκλογής µου στο Πανεπιστήµιο Πατρών. 1984: Μετά από κρίση κατατάχτηκα στη Β' βαθµίδα του ερευνητικού προσωπικού του Ε.Ι.Ε. 1984: Εκλέχτηκα Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής στο Βιολογικό Τµήµα του Πανεπιστηµίου Πατρών. 1987: Εκλέχτηκα Καθηγητής στον Τοµέα Γενετικής, Βιολογίας Κυττάρου και Ανάπτυξης στο Τµήµα Βιολογίας του Πανεπιστηµίου Πατρών. 1996-2000: Πρόεδρος Διοικούσας Επιτροπής του Ιονίου Πανεπιστηµίου. 2005: Διευθυντής του Μουσείου Επιστηµών και Τεχνολογίας του Πανεπιστηµίου Πατρών. 2005 Σήµερα Διευθυντής του Τοµέα Γενετικής, Βιολογίας Κυττάρου και Ανάπτυξης του Τµήµατος Βιολογίας του Πανεπιστηµίου Πατρών. 2. ΔΙΔΑΚΤΙΚΗ ΠΕΙΡΑ Ως άµισθος βοηθός του Εργαστηρίου Ανοργάνου Χηµείας της Φυσικοµαθηµατικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστηµίου Πατρών διοργάνωσα και εκτέλεσα µε την καθοδήγηση του καθηγητή κ. Α. Γαληνού τις ασκήσεις Ποιοτικής και Ποσοτικής Ανόργανης Χηµικής Αναλύσεως για δύο χρόνια. Ως άµισθος Επιστηµονικός Συνεργάτης του Εργαστηρίου Βιοχηµείας της Φυσικοµαθηµατικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστηµίου Πατρών, συµµετείχα στη διοργάνωση του νεοσύστατου Εργαστηρίου Βιοχηµείας και εκτέλεσα µε την καθοδήγηση του καθηγητή κ. Ι. Γεωργάτσου τις ασκήσεις Βιοχηµείας, Κλινικής Χηµείας και Ενζυµολογίας για δύο χρόνια. Έχω διδάξει στα µεταπτυχιακά µαθήµατα της Ε.Β.Β.Ε. Επίσης, η Ευρωπαϊκή Οργάνωση Μοριακής Βιολογίας µου ανέθεσε την οργάνωση, για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα, το 1984 των Πρακτικών Μαθηµάτων Μοριακής Κλωνοποίησης-Τεχνικών Γενετικής Μηχανικής, όπου έλαβαν µέρος µεταδιδακτορικοί σπουδαστές από όλη την Ευρώπη. Η διοργάνωση αυτή µου ανατέθηκε και για δεύτερη φορά το 1986. Διδάσκω το µάθηµα της Μοριακής Βιολογίας καθώς και της Βιοτεχνολογίας στους προπτυχιακούς φοιτητές του Τµήµατος Βιολογίας.
