The its system optimizes traffic flows for all inbound and outbound traffic. MIELE: Multimodal Port Traveler Information System for Limassol, Cyprus to develop a multimodal trip planning and traffic information service through web and mobile site addressed to Port Community stakeholders: Hauliers, logistic industry, drivers, police Trip planning Traffic information Dangerous goods management Tracking of dangerous goods Traffic Management in Hamburg
ITS systems in Stockholm Swarco Harbour Control System, SHCS. Control barriers, VMS signs, scenario management, alarm management and emergency routes. Integration platform for other systems. Gate Operating System, GOS. Scans vehicles at the entrances Photographs and registers trailers (checking damages) Terminal Operating System, TOS. Manages the trailer parking Loading and unloading managment GO S SHCS TOS
Gate operating system (GOS) At the entrance to the port GOS control that the vehicle has a valid booking using ANPR. Vehicle length and height are scanned and saved. (checked at check-in) At the entrance to the trailer parking, vehicles are photographed trailer for damages
Lane allocation in the buffer area SHCS create scenarios for lane allocations in the buffer area. Vehicles are directed by VMS signs. SHCS optimizes the placement of vehicles based on: Booking list Vehicle type Available space Even distribution between check-in counters
Check in At check-in, the reservation is cross checked with the information GOS (Vehicle dimensions). If the information is correct the vehicle is directed into the port area The vehicles are guided by VMS to the correct waiting area.
Traffic directions within the port area In the port area traffic is directed by VMS signs.
Lane allocation in waiting areas SHCS optimizes the placement of vehicles in the waiting area to get an even distribution
Embarkement Port personnel controls traffic signal with a hand device. Port personnel can also change the message on VMS signs where necessary.
Handling of unaccompanied Trailers- TOS Optimize trailer parking usages. Manages loading and unloading of trailers using the port trucks. Manages special rules for the handling of dangerous goods. Information about trailer handling is distributed via terminals located in the trucks. Information about potential damages from GOS.
Scenario management SHCS handles predefined scenarios for evacuation Fire Hazardous materials Etc
