This resource can be found at the following internet address: https://imed.faimer.org. You then enter the name of the country and/or name of the medical school for which you are seeking verification. If you enter the country name only and then go to search, you will be given a listing of all medical schools in that country. Note that we have added the IMED code to the Medical School s manual. The Medical Council of Canada has agreed that all medical schools listed on this IMED website are acceptable medical schools for physicians who wish to take the MCCEE (Evaluating Examination) or MCCQE I and II (Qualifying Examination Parts I and II). Within each country, the listing is in alphabetical order by province/state (if applicable), and by city within the province/state. To find a particular medical school: 1. Look up the country in which the university or institution is located. The French or English Index may be used. (Within the manual, the countries are in alphabetical order according to the English name of the country.) 2. If the country has provinces or states, they are listed in alphabetical order. Find the appropriate province or state in which the medical school is located. 3. Cities are listed in alphabetical order within the province grouping. 4. Finally, the universities and institutions are listed in alphabetical order within each city. 5. If you do not know the province where the particular university or institution is located, you can use the Index to Medical Schools which lists, in alphabetical order, all the institutions included in the document. 6. Some universities in India award the degree for medical education provided by a number of associated colleges or schools. If the name of the medical school or college is known, give the specific code for that institution. If it is not known, give the code provided for the university alone.
