Akanthus Gazoo Bασικός στόχος της ανακαίνισης στο club Αkanthus στο Γκάζι ήταν να αποκτήσει μια extreme εμφάνιση που θα ξεσηκώνει τους θαμώνες. Έτσι δημιουργήθηκε ένας χώρος με παιχνιδιάρικο ύφος, έντονα χρώματα και εξωτικές επενδύσεις. Το μπαρ τοποθετείται ελεύθερο κεντρικά στον χώρο και το καμπυλωτό σχήμα του επενδύεται με κάθετα πηχάκια που το κάνουν να μοιάζει σαν ένα σκελετωμένο απολίθωμα κάποιου ζώου. Από πάνω του κρέμεται η εντυπωσιακή κατασκευή με τα κάθετα φώτα που κινούνται στον ρυθμό της μουσικής. Όλο το αριστερό τμήμα του μαγαζιού καλύπτεται με πολύχρωμα σχοινιά σε έντονα χρώματα, σχηματίζοντας διαφορετικές λωρίδες μέσα στον μεταλλικό κάναβο που τα στηρίζει, τα οποία φωτίζονται και δημιουργούν μια πολύ παιχνιδιάρικη εικόνα Στο βάθος όλη η περιοχή θυμίζει ακόμα περισσότερο ζούγκλα καθώς επενδύεται με ξύλινες λωρίδες οι οποίες ξεκινούν από το πάτωμα και σβήνουν ακανόνιστα στο ταβάνι, σαν τις ρίζες ενός τεράστιου δένδρου που έχουν την τάση να επεκτείνονται άναρχα στον χώρο που διαθέτουν. Την εικόνα συμπληρώνουν επίσης τα εξωτικά φυτά στις κρεμαστές ζαρντινιέρες, και το δεύτερο μαρμάρινο μπαρ στον διπλανό χώρο με το μεταλλικό custom φωτιστικό από αμέτρητα μαύρα κυλινδράκια σε κυματοειδή διάταξη. Akanthus Gazoo The key objective of Akanthus club renovation in Gazi was to give an extreme look that would excite its customers. The new place is playful in style with strong colors and exotic coatings. The bar is free and centrally placed and its curved shape is framed by vertical slats looking like an animal skeleton fossil. An impressive construction is hanging from above with vertical lights swinging in the rhythm of music. The entire left part of the club is covered by multi-colored ropes in strong colors, creating different strips in the metal canvas that supports them, creating a playful image while being lit. Going deeper in the club, the place looks more like a jungle as it is invested with wooden strips starting from the floor and ending up to the ceiling irregularly, like the roots of a huge tree spreading far out randomly. Exotic plants complete the picture in the suspended window boxes along with a second bar made of marble, in the adjacent area with a metallic custom lighting fixture and many black small cylinders in a wavy layout. 61

Βalzac Inner Pleasure Tο Βalzac Inner Pleasure είναι ένας all day προορισμός στην κεντρική πλατεία της Πετρούπολης. Πρόκειται για έναν μεγάλο χώρο με διπλό ύψος και πολλούς εξωτερικούς χώρους περιμετρικά, οι οποίοι διαμορφώθηκαν σε άνετα και ζεστά καθιστικά με ψηλές μεταλλικές πέργκολες με καΐτια και καμάρες σε συνδυασμό με τζάμια και ξύλα, τα οποία κάνουν το κατάστημα να ξεχωρίζει από μακριά και καθιστούν το κτίριο σημείο τοπόσημο στην ευρύτερη περιοχή. Ο σχεδιασμός και η διακόσμηση του καταστήματος ακολουθεί μοντέρνες αρχιτεκτονικές γραμμές, με κύρια χρήση του ξύλου σε φυσικές μελί αποχρώσεις το οποίο κυριαρχεί στον χώρο. Χρησιμοποιείται επίσης πολύ και το πράσινο στοιχείο, με τα φυτά να διακοσμούν ακόμα και τα πιο απίθανα μέρη του καταστήματος, όπως για παράδειγμα τα κρεμαστά φωτιστικά στον εξωτερικό χώρο ή τα αιωρούμενα δαχτυλίδια πάνω από το μπαρ. Ο πέτρινος τοίχος που υπήρχε στο δεξί μέρος του καταστήματος διατηρήθηκε, αποκαταστάθηκε και αναδείχτηκε με ειδικό φωτισμό. Στο κέντρο του χώρου δεσπόζει το μεγάλο κεντρικό μπαρ, το οποίο είναι μια ιδιαίτερη custom κατασκευή αποκλειστικά από ξύλο, και από πάνω του αιωρείται το μεγάλο σπειροειδές φωτιστικό με τα φυτά το οποίο μοιάζει να ξετρυπάει το ταβάνι και αποτελείται από πολλαπλές σειρές δαχτυλιδιών, από τρία διαφορετικά υλικά, ξύλο, μέταλλο και δαχτυλιδία με φως. Το εντυπωσιακό σκηνικό στο εσωτερικό του καταστήματος συμπληρώνουν οι κυματοειδείς σχηματισμοί από ξύλινες λωρίδες που επενδύουν τους τοίχους στο βάθος του καταστήματος με τους ατμοσφαιρικούς φωτισμούς να αναδύονται από τα κενά τους. Ιδιαίτερα τσιμεντοπλακάκια με γεωμετρικά σχέδια, τσιμεντοκονία και φωτεινές λωρίδες ντύνουν το δάπεδο του καταστήματος, τόσο εσωτερικά όσο και εξωτερικά. Βalzac Inner Pleasure 80

Βalzac Inner Pleasure Balzac Inner Pleasure is an all-day destination place in the main square of Petroupoli. It is a large, double-height place with many external spaces in its perimeter, arranged in comfortable and warm living rooms with metallic pergolas and muntin glasses and arches combined with glasses and wood, making the building a landmark in the broader area. The design and decoration are based on modern architectural lines, mainly using wood in natural honey-colored nuances. The green element is also widely used, with plants decorating the most peculiar spots, such as the suspended lightings externally or the suspended rings on top of the bar. The stone wall that used to exist in the right part of the place was preserved, restored and showcased with a special lighting. A big central bar dominates the central area; this is a particularly custom construction made exclusively by wood. A big spiral lighting fixture is suspended from the ceiling with the plants and consists of many series of rings, from three different materials, wood, metal and rings with light. The impressive scenery is complemented by wavy formations of wooden strips covering the walls and with the atmospheric lightings coming out of their gaps. Bogart Tο Bogart είναι το πιο γκλάμουρ και ταυτόχρονα φουτουριστικό μπαρ στο Κολωνάκι. Η κεντρική ιδέα του design βασίστηκε στη δημιουργία ενός extreme φουτουριστικού και διαστημικού χώρου. Πάνω σε αυτόν τον σχεδιαστικό άξονα χρησιμοποιούνται σκληρές επιφάνειες, επιθετικές γραμμές και έντονες γωνίες καθώς και κρυφοί φωτισμοί που υπογραμμίζουν τα παραπάνω. Tα μπαρ σχηματίζονται με πολυγωνικά σχήματα και έντονες γωνίες, διαφέροντας από τα συνηθισμένα ευθύγραμμα μπαρ, και επενδύονται με μαύρο μάρμαρο με εντυπωσιακά νερά. Το ιδιαίτερο σχήμα τους τονίζεται ακόμα περισσότερο με τον τριπλό κρυφό φωτισμό σε τρία διαφορετικά ύψη, ο οποίος διαγράφει περιμετρικά το αποτύπωμά τους. Ιδιαίτερα εντυπωσιακή είναι η κατασκευή στην πλάτη του κεντρικού μπαρ, η οποία αποτελείται από πυραμιδοειδή σχήματα από ακανόνιστα τρίγωνα που μοιάζουν σαν ένας εξωγήινος παρασιτικός οργανισμός, ο οποίος αναπτύσσεται άναρχα από την βάση της πλάτης του μπαρ και διασκορπίζεται επεκτατικά προς υπόλοιπο το ταβάνι του μπαρ. Τρεις μεγάλοι κεραυνοειδείς γραμμικοί φωτισμοί με ψυχρό φωτισμό σχίζουν σαν μεγάλες αρτηρίες τον όγκο της παρασιτικής κατασκευής κάνοντας ακόμα πιο εντυπωσιακό το βάθος του καταστήματος. Την διακόσμηση του χώρου συμπληρώνουν τα χρυσά Tom Dixon φωτιστικά και οι χρυσές λάμπες μέσα στις ειδικές κορνίζες που πολλαπλασιάζονται στο άπειρο, προσφέροντας έτσι έναν πιο θερμό και ζεστό φωτισμό στον χώρο. Bogart Bogart is the most glamour and futuristic bar in Kolonaki area. Its main design concept was based on the creation of an extreme futuristic and spatial image. For this reason, hard surfaces are used, aggressive lines and strong angles, hidden lights highlighting all the above. The polygonal bars with strong angles differ from regular bars, coated with black marble with impressive streaks. Their shape is further highlighted by the triple hidden light at three different heights that outlines their perimetry. The central bar construction is particularly impressive, consisting of pyramidical shapes from irregular triangles, looking like an extra-terrestrial parasitical body, growing arbitrarily from the back of the bar and extending to the bar s ceiling. Three large thunderous linear lights with cold light look like arteries adding an impressive feeling of depth. The golden tom Dixon light fixtures complete the place s decoration and the golden lamps within special frames being multiplied infinitely, adding warmness in lighting. 101

Box Club Tο ΒΟΧ, ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα club της Aθήνας, αποτελεί έναν υπερσύγχρονο φουτουριστικό χώρο, στο οποίο τόσο το design όσο και o τεχνολογικός εξοπλισμός σε θέματα ήχου και φωτισμού είναι πολύ μπροστά από την εποχή τους. Από την είσοδο κιόλας ο επισκέπτης εισέρχεται σε έναν χώρο πολύ εντυπωσιακό και ο οποίος έχει σχεδιαστεί έτσι ώστε να χάνει ο επισκέπτης την αίσθηση του προσανατολισμού. Μοιάζει με χώρο βγαλμένο από ταινία επιστημονικής φαντασίας. Λωρίδες από καθρέπτες και γραμμικοί φωτισμοί τρέχουν και στις τρεις διαστάσεις του τούνελ που οδηγεί στον κεντρικό χώρο του club, δημιουργώντας ένα αποτέλεσμα με επαναλαμβανόμενες αντανακλάσεις, φευγαλέες εικόνες και μια δυναμική προοπτική που σε κατευθύνει μπροστά. Στον κεντρικό χώρο του club οι γραμμικοί φωτισμοί περιγράφουν όλες τις ακμές των σταθερών στοιχείων και ταξιδεύουν τόσο οριζοντίως όσο και καθ ύψος διαγράφοντας χωρίς εξαίρεση τη σκηνή, το μπαρ, τα μπαλκόνια. Η δυνατότητα επιλογής πολλών διαφορετικών αποχρώσεων στον φωτισμό δίνει τη δυνατότητα στον χώρο να μεταμορφώνεται εντελώς και από βαθύ ψυχρό μπλε να μετατρέπεται σε ζεστό χρυσό, έντονο κόκκινο κλπ, ανάλογα την περίσταση. Box Club BΟΧ, one of the biggest clubs in Athens, constitutes an ultramodern, futurist place where both the design and the technological equipment in sound and light are very much ahead of our times. From the entrance already, visitors enter a very impressive place designed in such a way so as to lose the sense of orientation. The place is like science fiction. Strips of mirrors and linear lightings run across the three dimensions of the tunnel leading to the club s central space, giving a result with repeated reflections, furtive images and a dynamic perspective directing you ahead. In the club s central space, linear lightings describe all the edges of fixed elements and travel both horizontally and vertically marking the perimeter of the stage, the bar and the balconies. The possibility to choose many different nuances in light helps to transform the space from deep cool blue into a warm golden, strong red color etc. depending on the circumstances. 109

Cinderella Disco Club HCinderella είναι μία μικρή ντισκοτέκ κρυμμένη σε ένα υπόγειο χώρο στην καρδιά του Κολωνακίου. Πρόκειται για έναν χώρο εκκεντρικό που ο σχεδιασμός και η διακόσμησή του έχουν βασιστεί πάνω στο ρετρό κιτς στυλ με πολύ χρυσόσκονη, ντισκομπάλες και γυαλιστερά υφάσματα όπως μόνο θα ταίριαζε σε μια κλασσική ντίσκο. Από την είσοδο κιόλας του καταστήματος εντυπωσιάζει το μεγάλο φωτιζόμενο μπαρ από κίτρινο μάρμαρο με καθρέπτες με τους γραμμικούς φωτισμούς στο πίσω μέρος. Στο κέντρο του χώρου δεσπόζει η χρωματιστή πίστα, η οποία είναι χωρισμένη σε αυστηρό κάναβο, όπου το κάθε ένα τετραγωνάκι μπορεί να έχει διαφορετικό χρώμα και μοιάζει σαν να μην έχει βάθος χρησιμοποιώντας ειδικούς καθρέπτες. Cinderella Disco Club Cinderella is a small disco club hidden in an underground space at the heart of Kolonaki. It is an eccentric place with its design and decoration based on retro kitsch style with a lot of gold-dust, disco balls, shiny fabrics that could only befit a classical disco club. From the entrance already, the big well-lit bar made of yellow marble, the irregular-shaped mirrors and the linear lightings are very impressive. In the center, a colored stage prevails, split into a strict canvas, where each small square may have a different color and looks as if it does not have depth with the use of special mirrors. The exotic plants and various decorative elements bestow a more eccentric character upon the already impressive Cinderella. 125

Dybbuk Oνέος χώρος του Dybbuk, ένα από τα πιο γνωστά club της Αθήνας, δεν θα μπορούσε παρά να ξεχωρίσει με το ιδιαίτερο και extreme design του, ώστε να ικανοποιήσει και ανταπεξέλθει στις απαιτήσεις και των πιο φανατικών θαμώνων του. Το concept του σχεδιασμού βασίστηκε στην ιδέα του ότι αυτός ο χώρος δεν προοριζόταν εξαρχής για μπαρ αλλά προϋπήρχε ως σπίτι και πιο συγκεκριμένα ως το προσωπικό μυστικό διαμέρισμα ενός ιδιοκτήτη με ιδιαίτερα γούστα, το οποίο είχε εξαρχής διαμορφωθεί με μη συμβατικούς για ένα τυπικό σπίτι χώρους. Ακόμα και προθάλαμος μέσα στη στοά της Σταδίου που οδηγεί στο μαγαζί έχει διαμορφωθεί έτσι ώστε να θυμίζει χολ σπιτιού με όμορφα χαλιά στρωμένα στο δάπεδο, παλιά αμπαζούρ και δερμάτινες πολυθρόνες. Εισερχόμενος στον χώρο ο επισκέπτης κατευθύνεται μέσα από το μακρόστενο χολ με τις αψίδες με τις σκαλιστές γύψινες λεπτομέρειες, τους εντυπωσιακούς γυάλινους πολυελαίους και τις γυάλινες καμάρες προς τον κεντρικό εσωτερικό χώρο της βίλλας. Εδώ όλοι οι τοίχοι είναι παλαιωμένοι σε ένα βαθύ πράσινο χρώμα με χρυσές ανταύγειες και χρυσές σκαλιστές κορνίζες. Στο κέντρο του χώρου δεσπόζει το μεγάλο τζακούζι του περίεργου ιδιοκτήτη το οποίο είναι επενδεδυμένο με γυαλιστερές ροζ ψηφίδες, έχει εντυπωσιακές χρυσές μπαταρίες και λειτουργεί ως μπαρ! Στο βάθος του χώρου βρίσκεται το επίσημο καθιστικό με τους κλασικούς βελούδινους πράσινους καναπέδες του σπιτιού. Συμπληρωματικά καθιστικά με ροζ καναπέδες διαμορφώνονται στις εσοχές που υπάρχουν στον χώρου και οριοθετούνται με επιχρυσωμένα κάγκελα με εξωτικά μοτίβα. Dybbuk The new Dybbuk place, one of the most well-known clubs in Athens, singles apart with its special and extreme design, satisfying its most demanding fans. Its design concept was based on the initial premise that the place is not destined for bar; it was initially used as a residence; in particular, it was the personal, secret apartment of an owner with particular tastes, initially created with unconventional spaces for a typical house. Even the hallway inside Stadiou gallery is arranged in such a way so as to remind a house hall with beautiful carpets on the floor, old type lampshades and leather armchairs. Entering the place, visitors pass through the long and narrow hall with the arcades, carved with plaster-made details, the impressive glassy chandeliers and glassy arches towards the interior part. There, all walls are timeworn in a deep green color with golden hues and carved frames. A large Jacuzzi dominates in the center of the place, coated with shiny, pink chippings, impressive golden batteries, functioning as a bar! Going further inside, we find the formal dining room with the classical green velvety sofas. More sitting areas are provided with pink sofas in the corners and are delimited with exotically-patterned gold-coated railings. The whole picture is further enhanced by the walled light fixtures placed on wooden sheets depicting animal heads: deer, owls and pigs. 133

Feedέλ Urban Gastronomy Κρυμμένο στον πυκνό αστικό ιστό της Αθήνας, το Feedέλ εμφανίζεται σαν μια όαση καθαρού αέρα μέσα σε ένα παραμυθένιο κήπο. Πλησιάζοντας την αυλή, ο επισκέπτης αντιλαμβάνεται την οικεία και άνετη ατμόσφαιρα η οποία αυξάνεται μέσα από την ενοποίηση της αρχιτεκτονικής παρέμβασης με τη φύση. Καμουφλάροντας το μικρό μέγεθος του χώρου μέσα από τη χρήση ενός αίθριου στο πίσω μέρος του εσωτερικού του Feedέλ και μεταμορφώνοντάς το με διάφορα Μεσογειακά φυτά και παιχνιδιάρικο φωτισμό, καταφέρνει να οδηγήσει τον εξωτερικό κήπο βαθιά στην καρδιά του εστιατορίου. Ζεστό παλαιωμένο ξύλο, σκουριασμένο μέταλλο και παιχνιδιάρικο τούβλο έρχονται να ντύσουν ένα μικρό αλλά ευρηματικό χώρο. Η επιλογή των υλικών συμπίπτουν και επαυξάνουν την φιλοσοφία του εστιατορίου δείχνοντας σεβασμό στην Ελληνική παραγωγή και παράδοση μέσα από μια πιο σύγχρονη απόδοση. Μεγάλα τραπέζια υποστηρίζουν την ιδεολογία του εστιατορίου και την κουλτούρα του να μοιράζεσαι σχηματίζοντας μικρές μα ισορροπημένες διαφορές τόσο στην διάταξη του χώρου όσο και στα έπιπλα. Ένα πλήθος κρεμαστών φωτιστικών στο ψηλοτάβανο κομμάτι της εισόδου, χαρίζει μια ζωηρή διάθεση στον πρώην μεταβατικό χώρο. Ένας μοντέρνος επαναπροσδιορισμός παραδοσιακών στοιχείων όπως το ξύλινο πάτωμα με ψαροκόκαλο και οι ξύλινοι ταμπλάδες εναρμονίζονται με βιομηχανικές λάμπες και συρματοπλέγματα δημιουργώντας ένα φιλικό περιβάλλον καινοτόμου αρχιτεκτονικής. Ο εσωτερικός χώρος είναι αφιερωμένος σε μεγάλο βαθμό στο βαρύ ξύλινο μπαρ, με τα vintage φωτιστικά και τα ξύλινα σκαμπό άλλης εποχής φέροντας ομοιότητες με τα παλιά Speakeasy και τονίζοντας την μυστικότητα που αφήνει να εννοηθεί το όλο σκεπτικό του Feedέλ. Approaching the yard, visitors perceive the familiar and comfortable atmosphere being further enhanced through the integration of architectural intervention with nature. Camouflaging the small size of the place through the use of an atrium in the rear part of Feedel interior and transforming it by means of various Mediterranean plants and playful lighting, the external garden is driven deeper into the heart of the restaurant. Tender old wood, rusty metal and playful tiles come to invest a small but imaginative space. The selection of materials matches the restaurant s philosophy further enhancing it, showing respect to Greek production and tradition through a more modern touch. Large tables support the ideology of the restaurant and the culture of sharing, creating small but balanced differences both in the layout of the space and in the furniture. Many suspended light fixtures on the high-ceiling in the entrance add a lively mood to this transitional space. A modern redefinition of traditional elements, such as the wooden floor with herringbone and the wooden tables are harmonized with the industrial lamps and the wires creating a friendly environment of innovative architecture. The interior is dedicated to a big wooden bar, with vintage light fixtures and wooden footstool reminding of a different era, bearing similarities with the old Speakeasy, highlighting the mysticism emanating from Feedel concept. Wall paintings and worn surfaces create a lived-in atmosphere that coincides with the carefully selected decorative objects inside the place. Feedel proved quickly its architectural and gastronomical authenticity, establishing itself as a leader of this year s gastronomical arrivals. 165

Izakaya Sushi Restaurant Tο Izakaya είναι ένας εναλλακτικός χώρος για σούσι στο Κολωνάκι, ο οποίος μοιάζει σαν να βγήκε μέσα από γιαπωνέζικο βιντεοπαιχνίδι. Η έντονα grunge αισθητική που επικρατεί με τους τσιμεντένιους τοίχους, τα πάνελ εμφανούς σκυροδέματος, τις τολμηρές street art αφίσες, τα χρωματιστά φωτιστικά και τις custom made τοιχογραφίες πάνω στα vintage πλακάκια, δημιουργούν έναν χώρο ζωντανό, αυθεντικό και φρέσκο, ο οποίος ξεφεύγει από την συνηθισμένη μινιμαλιστική ιαπωνέζικη αισθητική. Ο τοίχος του μπαρ επενδύεται με ξύλινα «λέπια» και οι προσόψεις των ντουλαπιών της ανοιχτής κουζίνας διακοσμούνται με ιαπωνέζικα ιδεογράμματα και μοτίβα. Στον εξωτερικό χώρο, στην πρόσοψη του καταστήματος, δημιουργούνται δυο εντυπωσιακές μεγάλες ξύλινες βεντάλιες οι οποίες καλύπτουν το μεγαλύτερο μέρος των ανοιγμάτων και δημιουργούν μια παιχνιδιάρικη είσοδο που προδιαθέτει εξαρχής των επισκέπτη για το vibe του εναλλακτικού αυτού χώρου. Izakaya Sushi Restaurant Izakaya is an alternative place for sushi in Kolonaki, giving the impression it came out of a Japanese video game. The strongly grunge aesthetics prevailing with the cement walls, the panels with fare face concrete, the bold street art posters, the colored lighting fixtures and the custom made wall paintings on the vintage tiles create a lively and authentic place going beyond the usual minimal Japanese aesthetics. The bar s wall is coated with wooden scales and the facades of the open kitchen cupboards are decorated with Japanese ideograms and patterns. In the exterior space, on the store s façade, two impressive, large wooden fans are created covering the largest part of openings and creating a playful entrance predisposing visitors, from the beginning, as to the vibe of this alternative place. 181

Nikkei Eνσωματώνοντας την Περουβιανή ατμόσφαιρα τόσο στον σχεδιασμό όσο και στην κουζίνα, το Nikkei επιτυγχάνει μια ολιστική εμπειρία εστίασης προσφέροντας στον επισκέπτη ένα φανταστικό ταξίδι μέσα από τη μαγευτική κουλτούρα της Νότιας Αμερικής. Ο μοναδικός σχεδιασμός του χώρου στηρίζεται κυρίως σε αναφορές στην παραδοσιακή τέχνη του αργαλειού και της εντυπωσιακής κλωστοϋφαντουργίας του Περού. Μεγάλα ξύλινα τελάρα αποκλίνουν ελαφρώς από τους τοίχους, συνεχίζουν στο ταβάνι και ανάμεσα τους πλέκονται πολύχρωμες κλωστές δημιουργώντας ζωηρά υφαντά και τυλίγουν τον χώρο σε ένα ασύγκριτο Περουβιανό μικρόκοσμο. Ο ατμοσφαιρικός φωτισμός είναι πρωταρχικής σημασίας για την υλοποίηση ενός αυθεντικού Περουβιανού σκηνικού και επιτυγχάνεται μέσα από τα μοναδικά χειροποίητα φωτιστικά. Η αλληλεπίδραση του φωτός και της σκιάς μέσα από τις διάτρητες επιφάνειές τους δημιουργεί μια ψευδαίσθηση πλήρους και κενού, και αφυπνίζει τις άγριες υφές των σοβαντισμένων τοίχων και των υφασμάτων. Nikkei Incorporating Peruvian atmosphere both in design and in the kitchen, Nikkei achieves a holistic catering experience offering visitors an imaginative journey through the magical culture of Southern America. The unique design of the place is mainly based on traditional artistic references, such as the Peruvian loom and the impressive textile industry. Large wooden crates slightly divert from the walls, continue towards the ceiling and multi-colored threads create lively colors enveloping the place in an incomparable Peruvian microcosm. Atmospherical light is particularly significant to create authentic Peruvian scenery and it is achieved through hand-made light fixtures. The interaction between light and shade through perforated surfaces creates the illusion of fullness and gap, showcasing the harsh textures of plastered walls and fabrics. Choosing natural furniture in neutral shades from natural trunks and raw wood, Nikkei makes a sharp contrast to lively Peruvian fabrics and strong blue and tawny styles on the walls. An exceptional wall painting in the entrance depicting an ancient map by Matsos Pitsos adds a feeling of exotic adventure and a hint of the restaurant s unique cuisine. The two large windows offer a beautiful view to the courtyard, giving a breath of freshness and a surrealistic escapade from the densely populated city. Omu Hέμπνευση για το νέο concept του εστιατορίου Omu προήλθε από την ίδια την ταυτότητα του ακινήτου, το οποίο βρίσκεται στον πρώτο όροφο του νεοκλασικού της οδού Δηληγιάννη, ακριβώς πάνω από το Oozora. Πρόκειται για ένα χώρο ζεστό και οικείο, με σαλονάτο feeling και χαλαρή διάθεση που θυμίζει σπίτι. Omu στα Ιαπωνικά σημαίνει παπαγάλος και έτσι τα ζεστά πλούσια χρώματα δεν θα μπορούσαν παρά να έχουν κυρίαρχη θέση στην συνολική διακόσμηση του χώρου! Στο ξύλινο δρύινο πάτωμα στρώνονται πολύχρωμα χαλιά σε κλασικό ύφος και ο χώρος διαμορφώνεται σε μεγάλες ξύλινες τραπεζαρίες, σε τραπέζια φαγητού, στο σαλονάκι υποδοχής και σε μεγάλα άνετα πολύχρωμα καθιστικά με καναπέδες, που παραπέμπουν στα διάφορα δωμάτια της παλιάς οικίας. Αυτά οργανώνονται γύρω από το μεγάλο διαχρονικό μαρμάρινο μπαρ που βρίσκεται στο κέντρο του χώρου και ξεχωρίζει με το επιβλητικό λαβυρινθοειδές custom φωτιστικό ακριβώς από πάνω του. Οι τοίχοι είναι αλλού παλαιωμένοι σε ζεστές γκρι και μπεζ αποχρώσεις, δίνοντας έτσι μια νοσταλγική παρελθοντική νότα, και αλλού επενδύονται με μάρμαρο και πλαισιώνονται από γεωμετρικούς διακοσμητικούς ταμπλάδες, δίνοντας μια νότα πολυτέλειας. Στο ταβάνι υπάρχουν εντυπωσιακά σκαλιστά γύψινα και ανάγλυφες ροζέτες από τις οποίες κρέμονται κλασικοί γυάλινοι πολυέλαιοι. Omu The inspiration for the new concept of Omu restaurant came from the property s identity; it is located on the first floor of Diligianni neoclassical building, just above Oozora. It is a warm and comfortable place, emanating a posh feeling and a relaxed mood resembling that of a home. Omu in Japanese means parrot; quite naturally, the strong, warm colors play a dominant role in the overall decoration! The wooden oak floor is covered with multicolored carpets in classical style and the place has large wooden dining tables, a reception living room with large, comfortable and colorful couches, reminiscent of the various rooms in the old house. They are structured around the big marble bar in the center of the room standing out with the impressive maze-like custom light fixture just above. Walls are weathered in warm, grey and beige nuances, giving a nostalgic note and elsewhere they are cladded with marble and are framed by geometrical decorative backboards adding a hint of luxury. Impressive, curved, plaster and embossed rosettes are seen on the ceiling wherefrom classic glass chandeliers are suspended. Multicolored parrots add a final touch to the decoration on the yellow ceiling of the entrance and the large colored parrots in the golden cages add a carefree and joyful touch making the place feel more home-like. 213

Oozora Japanese Restaurant Στο ιαπωνικό εστιατόριο Oozora στην Κηφισιά στόχος είναι να γίνει ένας χώρος που θα ενσωματώσει παραδοσιακά στοιχεία της ιαπωνικής αρχιτεκτονικής και κουλτούρας σε ένα σύγχρονο και πολυτελές concept με exclusive χαρακτήρα. Όλοι οι χώροι είναι αυστηρά γεωμετρικά διακοσμημένοι με ειδικές κατασκευές από φωτιζόμενα μαύρα τελάρα με λεπτά μπαμπού και μουσαμά που παραπέμπουν στα παραδοσιακά ιαπωνικά shoji screens, που χρησιμοποιούν οι Ιάπωνες κυρίως στα εσωτερικά των σπιτιών τους. Φυσικά πράσινα φυτά μπαμπού χρησιμοποιούνται επίσης συμπληρωματικά στα κενά των τελάρων. Στον χώρο επικρατεί το μαύρο χρώμα, σε συνδυασμό με το γκρι, το χρυσό και τις εντυπωσιακές αποχρώσεις των μαρμάρων και πετρωμάτων που διακοσμούν σημεία του εστιατορίου. Στο εστιατόριο ο επισκέπτης εισέρχεται διασχίζοντας ένα δάσος από μεγάλα χρυσά μπαμπού και το πρώτο στοιχείο που συναντάει εσωτερικά είναι ο εντυπωσιακός μελί φωτιζόμενος όνυχας που καλύπτει ολόκληρο τον τοίχο. Στο βάθος δεσπόζει το γραμμικό μπαρ από γκρι μάρμαρο με τα ακανόνιστα κατακόρυφα κομμάτια στο back bar από γκρι σχιστόλιθο και ακόμα πιο μέσα τοποθετείται η μεγάλη τράπεζα από μαύρο μάρμαρο που ξεκινάει από το ταβάνι και σβήνει αρμονικά στο πάτωμα. Oozora Japanese Restaurant Αt the Japanese restaurant Oozora in Kifissia, the aim is to incorporate traditional Japanese architecture and culture into a modern and luxury concept with exclusive character. All spaces are strictly geometrically decorated with special constructions illuminated by black crates with thin bamboo and tarpaulin resembling traditional Japanese shoji screens, mainly used by Japanese people in their homes. Natural green bamboo plants are also used to fill the crates gaps. Black color prevails in this place, combined with grey, gold and impressive nuances of the marbles and stones decorating parts of the restaurant. Visitors enter into the restaurant crossing a forest of large golden bamboos and the first elements one gets across in the interior is the impressive honey-colored illuminated onyx covering the entire wall. A linear bar predominates well into the restaurant made of grey marble with irregularly shaped vertical pieces on the grey-slate back bar; going further inside, there is a large black-marble table stemming from the roof and harmoniously fading off on the floor. 221

Shamone Στην καρδιά της περιοχής του Κεραμεικού βρίσκεται το Shamone, ένα ξεχωριστό bar με burlesque χαρακτήρα. Το bar φιλοξενεί ιδιαίτερα happenings με performers και dance shows, επομένως η πρόκληση του σχεδιασμού ήταν να δημιουργηθεί ένα απρόβλεπτο, πολύβουο παιχνίδι αισθήσεων, χρωμάτων και εμπειριών. Την είσοδο σηματοδοτεί o κρυστάλλινος σομόν πολυέλαιος, μέσω του οποίου ο επισκέπτης οδηγείται στον κεντρικό χώρο του μαγαζιού. Στον χώρο ξεχωρίζει το μεγάλο εντυπωσιακό ξύλινο bar, το οποίο πλαισιώνεται στο πίσω του μέρος από μεγάλες ξύλινες βεντάλιες που μοιάζουν με δένδρα και ντύνουν τις υπάρχουσες κολώνες. Οι κατασκευές αυτές αναπτύσσονται καθ ύψος μέχρι το ταβάνι όπου και απλώνονται σαν κλαδιά δένδρου, προσθέτοντας έτσι στο συνολικό ύφος μία εξωτική αίσθηση. Ο κρυφός φωτισμός από το εσωτερικό τους μέρος τις κάνει ακόμα περισσότερο επιβλητικές, ενώ προβολείς φωτίζουν το πάνω μέρος τους με έντονα χρώματα. Αριστερά του μαγαζιού βρίσκεται ο διάσημος τοίχος με το πορτραίτο της Shamone, ο οποίος επενδύεται με μια εντυπωσιακή ταπετσαρία με μοτίβα από φτερά παγωνιού αλλά και από αληθινά φτερά. Η ίδια ταπετσαρία ξεδιπλώνεται και στο κάτω μέρος του τοίχου επενδύοντας με το ίδιο μοτίβο τον μεγάλο κυματοειδή καναπέ που μοιάζει να γεννιέται από τον τοίχο και να ακολουθεί την ροή των φυλλωμάτων του. Στην απέναντι μεριά, βρίσκεται το dj booth, το οποίο αποτελεί από μόνο του ένα ιδιαίτερο κόσμημα. Πρόκειται για μια εντυπωσιακή custom κατασκευή με χρώματα έντονο πράσινο και χρυσό και γεωμετρικό σχήμα με αυστηρές τριγωνικές επιφάνειες και γωνίες. Πίσω από αυτό βρίσκεται ένας κλασσικός καναπές επενδυμένος με κόκκινο animal print, ο οποίος έρχεται σε αντίθεση με τον ανθρώπινο κόσμο των γυμνών σωμάτων που απεικονίζονται στην ασπρόμαυρη ταπετσαρία του τοίχου ακριβώς από πάνω του. Την extravagant διακόσμηση του χώρου και στις δύο γωνίες του μαγαζιού συμπληρώνουν οι δύο χρυσοί φοίνικες που μοιάζουν να φυτρώνουν μέσα από τον τοίχο και να αναπτύσσονται προς το ταβάνι. Χρώματα, κόσμοι και αντιθέσεις σηματοδοτούν το φαντασμαγορικό στυλ του μαγαζιού. Shamone Club 232

Shamone Αt the heart of Kerameikos district lies SHAMONE, a special bar standing out with its burlesque character. The bar hosts special happenings with performers and dance shows; therefore, the challenge for design was to create an unpredictable, vocal game of sensations, colors and experiences. A crystal salmon chandelier dominates the entrance leading visitors to the main area. A big wooden bar stands out in the place, framed by large wooden fans in the background looking like trees and coating the existing columns. Constructions develop at height reaching the ceiling and stretching like tree branches, adding an exotic touch to the overall style. Hidden lighting makes them look more imposing, while headlights illuminate their upper part with intense colors. On the left we find the famous wall with Shamone portrait, which is lined with impressive patterned wallpaper displaying peacock feathers and true plumes. The same wallpaper unfolds to the low part of the wall to cover the large wavelike couch looking as if it comes out of the wall and follows the flow of foliage. The dj booth is placed on the opposite side; it is a gem on its own. It is an impressive colorful custom construction with intense green and gold color, geometrical shape and rigorous triangle surfaces and angles. Just behind lies a classical animal print couch contrasting with the human world of naked bodies depicted on the black and white wallpaper just above. This extravagant decoration of the place in both corners is completed with two golden palm trees giving the impression of growing inside the wall and upwards. Colors, worlds and contrasts mark the bar s splendid style. 237

The Sowl The Sowl Gallery-Bar-Art-Food είναι ένας ιδιαίτερος πολυχώρος τόσο για καφέ, ποτό και φαγητό όσο και για τέχνη και μουσική. Στεγάζεται στο γνωστό ιστορικό κτήριο των στάβλων του Όθωνα στο Θησείο, ο οποίος αποτελείται από μια όμορφη πλακόστρωτη εσωτερική αυλή που πλαισιώνεται από διάφορες αίθουσες, οι οποίες φιλοξενούν παράλληλες δράσεις με τη λειτουργία του μπαρ όπως ραδιοφωνικούς σταθμούς, πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις, εικαστικές εκθέσεις και πολλά άλλα. H διακόσμηση και ο σχεδιασμός του χώρου ακολουθούν τις ethnic urban τάσεις, δίνοντας στον χώρο μια μεξικάνικη αύρα. Το παλαιό πλακόστρωτο της αυλής και οι υφιστάμενοι πέτρινοι τοίχοι διατηρούνται και αναδεικνύονται με ειδικό φωτισμό και οι τοίχοι της εσωτερικής αυλής βάφονται σε ζεστές μπεζ και γήινες αποχρώσεις με ειδική τεχνοτροπία με αδρή υφή και παλαιωμένη όψη. Τα υπάρχοντα κουφώματα υφίστανται επεξεργασία ώστε να αναδειχθεί το φυσικό ξύλο από το οποίο ήταν εξαρχής κατασκευασμένα. Όλα τα έπιπλα επίσης είναι ξύλινα σε φυσικές αποχρώσεις με σχέδια που δημιουργούν οι διαφορετικές τάβλες μεταξύ τους. Χρησιμοποιούνται επίσης πλεκτές ψάθες τόσο στην όψη του μπαρ όσο και στις καρέκλες και σε άλλα έπιπλα. Τα υφάσματα στα μαξιλάρια και τους καναπέδες κινούνται σε έθνικ μοτίβα με έντονα χρώματα ενισχύοντας το μεξικάνικο vibe του μαγαζιού. Κοιτώντας ψηλά βλέπει κανείς έναν εντυπωσιακό κρεμαστό κήπο να αγκαλιάζει περιμετρικά την αυλή καθώς τα μπαλκόνια που την περιβάλλουν στο πάνω μέρος γεμίζουν με φυτά. Πλεκτά φωτιστικά, χειροποίητα κεραμικά φωτιστικά, καλάθια, σχοινένιες κουρτίνες, έθνικ πολυέλαιοι με ξύλινες χάντρες συμπληρώνουν το νοτιοαμερικάνικο αυτό σκηνικό, προσφέροντας μια ατμόσφαιρα άκρως ατμοσφαιρική. The Sowl Τhe Sowl Gallery-Bar-Art-Food is a special multi-purpose complex for having a coffee, drink, food as well as for artistic and entertainment purposes (music). It is housed in the well-known historic building of Otto s stables in Thiseio. It consists of a beautiful patiο surrounded by various rooms that can host parallel actions besides the bar, such as radio stations, cultural events, art exhibitions and many others. The place s decoration and design follow the ethic urban trends, bestowing upon the place a Mexican style. The old paved yard and the existing stone walls are preserved and showcased through special light fixtures; the patio s walls are painted in warm beige and earthy hues, in a special style, in a rather harsh texture and aged view. The existing frames are subject to processing to highlight the natural wood they had been initially made of. All furniture is made of natural colored wood in various patterns. Straw-woven mats are used on the bar s front view, on the chairs and other furniture. The fabric on the cushions and sofas is made of ethic patterns with strong colors, highlighting the place s Mexican vibe. Looking high above, one could see an impressive suspended garden that embraces the yard perimetrically as the balconies surrounding the upper part are filled with plants. Woven light fixtures, hand-made ceramic lamps, baskets, curtains made of rope, ethnic chandeliers with wooden beads complete the Southern American setting offering a very atmospherical ambiance. 253
