ΜΑΡΙΑ ΠΕΤΜΕΖΙΔΟΥ Καθηγήτρια Κοινωνικής Πολιτικής στο Δημοκρίτειο Παν/μιο Θράκης (Διπλ. Α.Π.Θ., Dipl. Επί σειρά ετών συνεργάστηκε με το International Social Science Council (που εδρεύει στην UNESCO) στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος CROP (Comparative Research on Poverty). Υπήρξε μέλος του Scientific Board του προγράμματος αυτού, και την περίοδο 2003 2006, Vice Chair του επιστημονικού συμβουλίου που εποπτεύει το πρόγραμμα. Διετέλεσε μέλος του editorial board του προγράμματος CROP για την σύνταξη του λεξικού Poverty. International Glossary (London: Zed Books, 2007). Τον Απρίλιο του 2010 της απενεμήθη ο τιμητικός τίτλος CROP Fellow από το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο του International Social Science Council. Στο πλαίσιο του προγράμματος αυτού έδωσε διαλέξεις και εκπόνησε έρευνα ως visiting researcher στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Bergen (Norway) την άνοιξη του 2013. Από το 1997 μέχρι το 2004 ήταν μέλος του Scientific Board of the European Foundation on Social Quality (Amsterdam), ενώ από το 1999 μέχρι σήμερα είναι μέλος του International Advisory Committee of the European Journal of Social Quality (renamed into International Journal of Social Quality, Berghahn Journals). Είναι ιδρυτικό μέλος της Επιστημονικής Εταιρείας Κοινωνικής Πολιτικής, της οποίας διετέλεσε πρόεδρος για δύο θητείες. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλές επιστημονικές επιτροπές και συμβούλια εμπειρογνωμόνων και έχει εκπονήσει (είτε ως συντονίστρια, είτε ως συνεργάτης) μεγάλο αριθμό ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων χρηματοδοτούμενων από εθνικούς φορείς, από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή και άλλους φορείς του εξωτερικού. Την περίοδο 1991 96 συνεργάσθηκε με το ερευνητικό Ινστιτούτο Institut Arbeit und Technik (Germany) σε ερευνητικά προγράμματα (χρηματοδοτούμενα από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή) σε θέματα τεχνολογικής αλλαγής και κοινωνικο οικονομικής ανάπτυξης. Διετέλεσε στο παρελθόν εθνικός εμπειρογνώμων για θέματα κοινωνικής προστασίας στην DG Employment and Social Affairs της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής. Τα τελευταία χρόνια συμμετέχει στο δίκτυο εμπειρογνωμόνων της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής για τις μεταρρυθμίσεις στο πεδίο των συντάξεων, της υγειονομικής περίθαλψης και της μακροχρόνιας φροντίδας. Διετέλεσε επίσης μέλος του Εθνικού Συμβουλίου Έρευνας και του Τομεακού

Συμβουλίου Ανθρωπιστικών και Κοινωνικών Επιστημών (Γενική Γραμματεία Έρευνας και Τεχνολογίας), καθώς και του Steering Group on Human Resources and Mobility in the European Research Area (European Commission). Το 2000 2001 ήταν μέλος της Επιτελικής Επιστημονικής Επιτροπής του Έργου «Χάρτης Υγείας και Πρόνοιας» στο Υπουργείο Υγείας και Πρόνοιας (το 2001, διετέλεσε Πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής αυτής), ενώ την περίοδο 2001 2003 εκπόνησε ερευνητικό έργο σε θέματα αξιολόγησης κοινωνικών προγραμμάτων και δικτύωσης κοινωνικών υπηρεσιών (ανάθεση Υπουργείου Υγείας και Πρόνοιας). Επίσης έχει συνεργαστεί με πολλά ακαδημαϊκά ιδρύματα του εξωτερικού για την ανάπτυξη και λειτουργία εκπαιδευτικών προγραμμάτων συνεργασίας σε προπτυχιακό και μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο (όπως, για παράδειγμα, το πρόγραμμα MESPA Master in European Social Policy Analysis, που υλοποιήθηκε ως μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα συνεργασίας Ευρωπαϊκών πανεπιστημίων, κατά την περίοδο 1990 1998, χρηματοδοτούμενο από το πρόγραμμα Socrates/Erasmus). Έχει συμμετάσχει σε πολλά διεθνή συνέδρια ως προσκεκλημένη ομιλήτρια. Διαθέτει πολυετή ερευνητική εμπειρία και μεγάλο αριθμό δημοσιεύσεων στα παρακάτω θεματικά πεδία: κοινωνική θεωρία, κοινωνική στρωμάτωση και κοινωνική κινητικότητα, κοινωνικο οικονομική ανάπτυξη (τοπική/περιφερειακή ανάπτυξη) και τεχνολογική αλλαγή, δομές απασχόλησης και αγορές εργασίας, κοινωνικο οικονομική ανισότητα, φτώχεια και κοινωνικός αποκλεισμός, συγκριτική ανάλυση των συστημάτων κοινωνικής προστασίας στη Νότια Ευρώπη (και τον ευρύτερο Μεσογειακό χώρο), με έμφαση στην κοινωνική ασφάλιση, την υγειονομική και την κοινωνική φροντίδα, αξιολόγηση κοινωνικών υπηρεσιών και δείκτες κοινωνικής ποιότητας. Τρέχουσα ερευνητική δραστηριότητα Επιστημονικά υπεύθυνη για τη διεξαγωγή ερευνητικού έργου με θέμα τις μεταρρυθμίσεις στο χώρο της υγειονομικής και της μακροχρόνιας φροντίδας στην Ελλάδα (ανάθεση από το Παρατηρητήριο Οικονομικών και Κοινωνικών Εξελίξεων του ΙΝΕ ΓΣΕΕ, διάρκεια έρευνας Ιανουάριος 2013 Δεκέμβριος 2014). Συνεργασία με ερευνητική ομάδα από τα Πανεπιστήμια: University of Oviedo & Complutense University (Spain), University of Marcerata and University of Marche, Ancona (Italy), Παν/μιο Αθηνών & LaSalle University, Philadelphia (USA), για τη διεξαγωγή συγκριτικής ανάλυσης των κοινωνικών μεταρρυθμίσεων στις χώρες της Νότιας Ευρώπης (2012 2014). Συμμετοχή στο ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα Strategic Transitions for Youth Labour in Employment, το οποίο προσφάτως επελέγη από την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή για να χρηματοδοτηθεί στο πλαίσιο του Framework Programme 7 της ΕΕ. Στο πρόγραμμα συμμετέχουν ερευνητές από 20 Ευρωπαϊκά πανεπιστήμια και ερευνητικά κέντρα. Επιστημονικά υπεύθυνη για τον συντονισμό ενότητας έρευνας στο θέμα Policy Learning and Policy Transfer (έναρξη προγράμματος Μάρτιος 2014, διάρκεια 3ετής).
