2 [and] having heard ΑΚΟΥΣΑΣ ΔΕ Ο King ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΣ Herod ΗΡΩΙΔΗΣ was troubled ΕΤΑΡΑΧΘΗ and ΚΑΙ all ΠΑΣΑ Jerusalem ΙΕΡΟΣΟΛΥΜΑ with ΜΕΤΑ him ΑΥΤΟΥ and ΚΑΙ having gathered ΣΥΝΑΓΑΓΩΝ all ΠΑΝΤΑΣ the ΤΟΥΣ chief priests ΑΡΧΙΕΡΕΙΣ and ΚΑΙ scribes ΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΕΙΣ [of] the ΤΟΥ people ΛΑΟΥ he was inquiring ΕΠΥΝΘΑΝΕΤΟ from ΠΑΡΑ them ΑΥΤΩΝ where ΠΟΥ the Ο Christ ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ was to be born ΓΕΝΝΑΤΑΙ ΟΙ and ΔΕ they said ΕΙΠΑΝ to him ΑΥΤΩΙ in ΕΝ Bethlehem ΒΗΘΛΕΕΜ [of] ΤΗΣ Judea ΙΟΥΔΑΙΑΣ [for] thus ΟΥΤΩΣ ΓΑΡ it has been written ΓΕΓΡΑΠΤΑΙ through ΔΙΑ the ΤΟΥ prophet ΠΡΟΦΗΤΟΥ LGNT -May 26, 2019 Page 2

3 and ΚΑΙ you ΣΥ Bethlehem ΒΗΘΛΕΕΜ land ΓΗ [of] Judah ΙΟΥΔΑ by no means ΟΥΔΑΜΩΣ least ΕΛΑΧΙΣΤΗ are ΕΙ among ΕΝ the ΤΟΙΣ rulers ΗΓΕΜΟΣΙΝ [of] Judah ΙΟΥΔΑ [because] out of ΕΚ you ΣΟΥ ΓΑΡ will go forth ΕΞΕΛΕΥΣΕΤΑΙ [the One] leading ΗΓΟΥΜΕΝΟΣ who ΟΣΤΙΣ will shepherd ΠΟΙΜΑΝΕΙ the ΤΟΝ people ΛΑΟΝ of Me ΜΟΥ ΤΟΝ Israel ΙΣΡΑΗΛ then ΤΟΤΕ Herod ΗΡΩΙΔΗΣ secretly ΛΑΘΡΑΙ having called ΚΑΛΕΣΑΣ the ΤΟΥΣ Magi ΜΑΓΟΥΣ inquired exactly ΗΚΡΙΒΩΣΕΝ from ΠΑΡΑ them ΑΥΤΩΝ the ΤΟΝ time ΧΡΟΝΟΝ [of] the ΤΟΥ appearing ΦΑΙΝΟΜΕΝΟΥ [of the] star ΑΣΤΕΡΟΣ and ΚΑΙ having sent ΠΕΜΨΑΣ them ΑΥΤΟΥΣ to ΕΙΣ Bethlehem ΒΗΘΛΕΕΜ he said ΕΙΠΕΝ LGNT -May 26, 2019 Page 3

4 having gone ΠΟΡΕΥΘΕΝΤΕΣ search ΕΞΕΤΑΣΑΤΕ carefully ΑΚΡΙΒΩΣ for ΠΕΡΙ the ΤΟΥ Child ΠΑΙΔΙΟΥ [and] when ΕΠΑΝ ΔΕ you have found [Him] ΕΥΡΗΤΕ bring word ΑΠΑΓΓΕΙΛΑΤΕ to me ΜΟΙ so that ΟΠΩΣ I also ΚΑΓΩ having come ΕΛΘΩΝ may worship ΠΡΟΣΚΥΝΗΣΩ Him ΑΥΤΩΙ ΟΙ and ΔΕ having heard ΑΚΟΥΣΑΝΤΕΣ the ΤΟΥ king ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ they went away ΕΠΟΡΕΥΘΗΣΑΝ and ΚΑΙ behold ΙΔΟΥ the Ο star ΑΣΤΗΡ which ΟΝ they saw ΕΙΔΟΝ in ΕΝ the ΤΗΙ east ΑΝΑΤΟΛΗΙ went before ΠΡΟΗΓΕΝ them ΑΥΤΟΥΣ until ΕΩΣ having arrived ΕΛΘΩΝ it stood ΕΣΤΑΘΗ over ΕΠΑΝΩ where ΟΥ was ΗΝ the ΤΟ Child ΠΑΙΔΙΟΝ [and] having seen ΙΔΟΝΤΕΣ ΔΕ the ΤΟΝ LGNT -May 26, 2019 Page 4

5 star ΑΣΤΕΡΑ they rejoiced ΕΧΑΡΗΣΑΝ [with] joy ΧΑΡΑΝ great ΜΕΓΑΛΗΝ exceedingly ΣΦΟΔΡΑ and ΚΑΙ having come ΕΛΘΟΝΤΕΣ into ΕΙΣ the ΤΗΝ house ΟΙΚΙΑΝ they saw ΕΙΔΟΝ the ΤΟ Child ΠΑΙΔΙΟΝ with ΜΕΤΑ Mariam ΜΑΡΙΑΣ the ΤΗΣ mother ΜΗΤΡΟΣ of Him ΑΥΤΟΥ and ΚΑΙ having fallen down ΠΕΣΟΝΤΕΣ they worshipped ΠΡΟΣΕΚΥΝΗΣΑΝ Him ΑΥΤΩΙ and ΚΑΙ having opened ΑΝΟΙΞΑΝΤΕΣ the ΤΟΥΣ treasures ΘΗΣΑΥΡΟΥΣ of them ΑΥΤΩΝ they offered ΠΡΟΣΗΝΕΓΚΑΝ to Him ΑΥΤΩΙ gifts ΔΩΡΑ [of] gold ΧΡΥΣΟΝ and ΚΑΙ frankincense ΛΙΒΑΝΟΝ and ΚΑΙ myrrh ΣΜΥΡΝΑΝ and ΚΑΙ being divinely warned ΧΡΗΜΑΤΙΣΘΕΝΤΕΣ by way of ΚΑΤΑ a dream ΟΝΑΡ not ΜΗ to return ΑΝΑΚΑΜΨΑΙ to ΠΡΟΣ Herod ΗΡΩΙΔΗΝ by ΔΙΑ 3 15 LGNT -May 26, 2019 Page 5

6 another ΑΛΛΗΣ way ΟΔΟΥ they withdrew ΑΝΕΧΩΡΗΣΑΝ into ΕΙΣ the ΤΗΝ country ΧΩΡΑΝ of them ΑΥΤΩΝ [and] having withdrawn ΑΝΑΧΩΡΗΣΑΝΤΩΝ ΔΕ of them ΑΥΤΩΝ behold ΙΔΟΥ an angel ΑΓΓΕΛΟΣ [of the] Lord ΚΥΡΙΟΥ appears ΦΑΙΝΕΤΑΙ by way of ΚΑΤΑ a dream ΟΝΑΡ [to] ΤΩΙ Joseph ΙΩΣΗΦ saying ΛΕΓΩΝ having arisen ΕΓΕΡΘΕΙΣ take ΠΑΡΑΛΑΒΕ the ΤΟ Child ΠΑΙΔΙΟΝ and ΚΑΙ the ΤΗΝ mother ΜΗΤΕΡΑ of Him ΑΥΤΟΥ and ΚΑΙ flee ΦΕΥΓΕ into ΕΙΣ Egypt ΑΙΓΥΠΤΟΝ and ΚΑΙ remain ΙΣΘΙ there ΕΚΕΙ until ΕΩΣ ΑΝ I should tell ΕΙΠΩ you ΣΟΙ [for] is about ΜΕΛΛΕΙ ΓΑΡ Herod ΗΡΩΙΔΗΣ to seek ΖΗΤΕΙΝ the ΤΟ Child ΠΑΙΔΙΟΝ ΤΟΥ LGNT -May 26, 2019 Page 6

7 to destroy ΑΠΟΛΕΣΑΙ Him ΑΥΤΟ Ο and ΔΕ having arisen ΕΓΕΡΘΕΙΣ he took ΠΑΡΕΛΑΒΕ the ΤΟ Child ΠΑΙΔΙΟΝ and ΚΑΙ the ΤΗΝ mother ΜΗΤΕΡΑ of Him ΑΥΤΟΥ by night ΝΥΚΤΟΣ and ΚΑΙ withdrew ΑΝΕΧΩΡΗΣΕΝ into ΕΙΣ Egypt ΑΙΓΥΠΤΟΝ and ΚΑΙ he remained ΗΝ there ΕΚΕΙ until ΕΩΣ the ΤΗΣ death ΤΕΛΕΥΤΗΣ [of] Herod ΗΡΩΙΔΟΥ so that ΙΝΑ it might be fulfilled ΠΛΗΡΩΘΗΙ [that] ΤΟ having been spoken ΡΗΘΕΝ by ΥΠΟ [the] Lord ΚΥΡΙΟΥ through ΔΙΑ the ΤΟΥ prophet ΠΡΟΦΗΤΟΥ saying ΛΕΓΟΝΤΟΣ out of ΕΞ Egypt ΑΙΓΥΠΤΟΥ have I called ΕΚΑΛΕΣΑ the ΤΟΝ Son ΥΙΟΝ of Me ΜΟΥ LGNT -May 26, 2019 Page 7

8 then ΤΟΤΕ Herod ΗΡΩΙΔΗΣ having seen ΙΔΩΝ that ΟΤΙ he had been outwitted ΕΝΕΠΑΙΧΘΗ by ΥΠΟ the ΤΩΝ Magi ΜΑΓΩΝ was enraged ΕΘΥΜΩΘΗ exceedingly ΛΕΙΑΝ and ΚΑΙ having sent forth ΑΠΟΣΤΕΙΛΑΣ he put to death ΑΝΕΙΛΕΝ all ΠΑΝΤΑΣ the ΤΟΥΣ boys ΠΑΙΔΑΣ the [ones] ΤΟΥΣ in ΕΝ Bethlehem ΒΗΘΛΕΕΜ and ΚΑΙ in ΕΝ all ΠΑΣΙ the ΤΟΙΣ vicinity ΟΡΙΟΙΣ of it ΑΥΤΗΣ from ΑΠΟ two years old ΔΙΕΤΟΥΣ and ΚΑΙ under ΚΑΤΩΤΕΡΩ according to ΚΑΤΑ the ΤΟΝ time ΧΡΟΝΟΝ which ΟΝ he had ascertained ΗΚΡΙΒΩΣΕΝ from ΠΑΡΑ the ΤΩΝ Magi ΜΑΓΩΝ then ΤΟΤΕ was fulfilled ΕΠΛΗΡΩΘΗ [that] ΤΟ having been spoken ΡΗΘΕΝ through ΔΙΑ Jeremiah ΙΕΡΕΜΙΟΥ the ΤΟΥ LGNT -May 26, 2019 Page 8

9 prophet ΠΡΟΦΗΤΟΥ saying ΛΕΓΟΝΤΟΣ a voice ΦΩΝΗ in ΕΝ Ramah ΡΑΜΑ was heard ΗΚΟΥΣΘΗ weeping ΚΛΑΥΘΜΟΣ and ΚΑΙ mourning ΟΔΥΡΜΟΣ much ΠΟΛΥΣ Rachel ΡΑΧΗΛ weeping [for] ΚΛΑΙΟΥΣΑ the ΤΑ children ΤΕΚΝΑ of her ΑΥΤΗΣ and ΚΑΙ not ΟΥΚ she would ΗΘΕΛΕΝ be comforted ΠΑΡΑΚΛΗΘΗΝΑΙ because ΟΤΙ not ΟΥΚ are they ΕΙΣΙΝ [and] having died ΤΕΛΕΥΤΗΣΑΝΤΟΣ ΔΕ ΤΟΥ Herod ΗΡΩΙΔΟΥ behold ΙΔΟΥ an angel ΑΓΓΕΛΟΣ [of the] Lord ΚΥΡΙΟΥ appears ΦΑΙΝΕΤΑΙ by way of ΚΑΤΑ a dream ΟΝΑΡ [to] ΤΩΙ Joseph ΙΩΣΗΦ in ΕΝ Egypt ΑΙΓΥΠΤΩΙ saying ΛΕΓΩΝ having arisen ΕΓΕΡΘΕΙΣ take ΠΑΡΑΛΑΒΕ the ΤΟ Child ΠΑΙΔΙΟΝ LGNT -May 26, 2019 Page 9

10 and ΚΑΙ the ΤΗΝ mother ΜΗΤΕΡΑ of Him ΑΥΤΟΥ and ΚΑΙ go ΠΟΡΕΥΟΥ into ΕΙΣ [the] land ΓΗΝ [of] Israel ΙΣΡΑΗΛ [because] have died ΤΕΘΝΗΚΑΣΙΝ ΓΑΡ the [ones] ΟΙ seeking ΖΗΤΟΥΝΤΕΣ the ΤΗΝ life ΨΥΧΗΝ [of] the ΤΟΥ Child ΠΑΙΔΙΟΥ Ο and ΔΕ having arisen ΕΓΕΡΘΕΙΣ he took ΠΑΡΕΛΑΒΕ the ΤΟ Child ΠΑΙΔΙΟΝ and ΚΑΙ the ΤΗΝ mother ΜΗΤΕΡΑ of Him ΑΥΤΟΥ and ΚΑΙ came ΕΙΣΗΛΘΕΝ into ΕΙΣ [the] land ΓΗΝ [of] Israel ΙΣΡΑΗΛ having heard ΑΚΟΥΣΑΣ however ΔΕ that ΟΤΙ Archelaus ΑΡΧΕΛΑΟΣ reigns over ΒΑΣΙΛΕΥΕΙ ΤΗΣ Judea ΙΟΥΔΑΙΑΣ in place of [Herod] ΑΝΤΙ the ΤΟΥ father ΠΑΤΡΟΣ of him ΑΥΤΟΥ ΗΡΩΙΔΟΥ LGNT -May 26, 2019 Page 10

11 he was afraid ΕΦΟΒΗΘΗ there ΕΚΕΙ to go ΑΠΕΛΘΕΙΝ [and] being divinely warned ΧΡΗΜΑΤΙΣΘΕΙΣ ΔΕ by way of ΚΑΤΑ a dream ΟΝΑΡ he withdrew ΑΝΕΧΩΡΗΣΕΝ into ΕΙΣ the ΤΑ district ΜΕΡΗ [of] the ΤΗΣ Galilee ΓΑΛΙΛΑΙΑΣ and ΚΑΙ having come ΕΛΘΩΝ he dwelt ΚΑΤΩΙΚΗΣΕΝ in ΕΙΣ a city ΠΟΛΙΝ called ΛΕΓΟΜΕΝΗΝ Nazareth ΝΑΖΑΡΕΤ so that ΟΠΩΣ it should be fulfilled ΠΛΗΡΩΘΗΙ [that] ΤΟ having been spoken ΡΗΘΕΝ through ΔΙΑ the ΤΩΝ Prophets ΠΡΟΦΗΤΩΝ that ΟΤΙ [the] Nazarene ΝΑΖΩΡΑΙΟΣ He will be called ΚΛΗΘΗΣΕΤΑΙ Totals chapter LGNT -May 26, 2019 Page 11
