ΤΗΕ EPISTLE The Lord is my strength and my song, and He became my salvation. The Lord chastened and corrected me, but He did not give me up to death. St. Paul's Letter to the Hebrews 1:10-2:3 "In the beginning, Thou, Lord, didst found the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of thy hands; they will perish, but thou remainest; they will all grow old like a garment, like a mantle thou wilt roll them up, and they will be changed. But thou art the same, and thy years will never end." But to what angel has he ever said, "Sit at my right hand, till I make thy enemies a stool for thy feet?" Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation? Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. For if the message declared by angels was valid and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution, how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard him.

THE HOLY GOSPEL The Gospel According to Mark 2:1-12 At that time, Jesus entered Capernaum and it was reported that he was at home. And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room for them, not even about the door; and he was preaching the word to them. And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him; and when they had made an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic lay. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "My son, your sins are forgiven." Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, "Why does this man speak thus? It is a blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?" And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, "Why do you question thus in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, take up your pallet and walk? But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins" he said to the paralytic "I say to you, rise, take up your pallet and go home." And he rose, and immediately took up the pallet and went out before them all; so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!" FASTING / ΝΗΣΤΕΙΑ During the Lenten Fast, the Church calls us to abstain from all meat and dairy products until Pascha, with wine & oil allowed during the weekends only. As always, fast as earnestly as you are able, and if you have never fasted, try something small. Remember, a true fast is when we keep our mind on the Lord and reject sinful passions. Καλή δύναμη!

Holy Trinity received a deficiency free survey on Friday, March 15th!The current survey is the most stringent and difficult it has ever been and Holy Trinity s staff was able to be deemed by the state to have no areas in need of improvement. Congratulations to the staff for such a phenomenal achievement! The residents are extremely happy to call Holy Trinity their home and the parishioners of every church should be proud to be associated with such a wonderful facility. At 10:00a.m: ALL students of the Greek School will attend the DOXOLOGY Service in our church, dressed up with the Greek costumes. At 4:00p.m.: Our students will present a rich cultural program with poems and songs, in the Cotsidas Auditorium, again dressed in the National Greek Costumes. You are all invited to celebrate this glorious and historical day with us in memory of March 25 th, 1821. LITTLE ANGELS The next Little Angels meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 26 at 1:00 p.m. Theme: Great Lent. This ministry is for those families who have children from birth to 4 years of age. We encourage you to bring your child(ren) to this ministry so they may begin to learn about their faith, and meet others their own age who they will be growing up with. LENTEN PRAYER OF ST. EPHRAIM This prayer is said during Great Lent at nearly every service. It captures the intended focus of repentance: our own sins temptations. We are called not to look for personal gain, not to judge our brothers and sisters, but to seek a spirit of humility and love. Try keeping this page by your icons and remember to say this prayer at least once every day. O Lord and Master of my life! Take from me the laziness, curiosity, lust of power, and idle talk. But give rather the spirit of chastity, humility, patience, and love to Your servant. Yes, Lord and King! Grant me to see my own sins and not to judge my brothers and sisters, for You are blessed unto ages of ages. Amen.
ST SPYRIDON FEEDING MINISTRY Our Mission: To provide nourishment that feeds one s physical, spiritual and emotional hunger through healthy fellowship. The Feeding Ministry, with the help of our parish volunteers, is continuing to serve a luncheon meal for those in need on the second Saturday of every month from 11:30am-1pm in the Cotsidas Cultural Center. April s luncheon (Saturday the 13 th ), is being donated by the St. Spyridon Philoptochos. We d like to thank all of our donors who support this important ministry.
