Oman: Bulk liquid berths terminal 28 March 2015 15:11 GMT By Jane Bishop Carrying out major engineering, procurement and construction works of a new bulk liquid berths terminal in the port of Duqm Description: Carrying out major engineering, procurement and construction works of a new bulk liquid berths terminal in the port of Duqm. The project will be split into two packages: 1) dredging and reclamation and marine/jetty structure; and 2) topside facilities including tanks. Engineering, procurement and construction contractors are now invited to bid for the first package to carry out the detaile design (based on owner-provided front-end engineering and design FEED), procurement and construction of dredging, reclamation and jetty structure works for the new bulk liquid berths terminal. The second package for topside facilities is to be tendered separately by Duqm Petroleum Terminal Company in due course. The invitation to tender for the first package is expected to be issued to prequalified bidders in the third quarter of 2015 with a target award of the contract in the fourth quarter. Works are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2018.
