Question 9 (10 marks) Παύλος: Αλίκη: Επιτέλους το αποφάσισα! Ήταν κάτι που το σκεφτόμουνα πολύ καιρό. Αύριο θα πάω να κάνω τατουάζ. Έχω σκεφτεί κάθε λεπτομέρεια... το σχέδιο, το μέγεθος, τα χρώματα και σε ποιο μέρος του σώματος θα το κάνω. Για μένα είναι τρόπος έκφρασης, δεν είναι θέμα μόδας. Δεν ξέρω όμως πώς θα αντιδράσουν οι γονείς μου... Ελπίζω ότι δεν θα έχουν αντιρρήσεις αφού αυτοί με έχουν μάθει να εκφράζομαι ελεύθερα. Eσείς, τι νομίζετε; Τρελάθηκες; Τι είναι αυτά που λες; Εγώ ξέρω πολύ καλά πώς θα αντιδρούσαν οι γονείς μου. Θα με έδιωχναν από το σπίτι! Εξάλλου, δεν σκέφτεσαι τι θα τραβήξεις; Θα πονέσεις, μπορεί ακόμη να πάθεις και μόλυνση. Και μην ξεχνάς ότι είναι κάτι που θα έχεις για όλη την υπόλοιπη ζωή σου! Εμένα πάντως, τα τατουάζ μου θυμίζουν εγκληματίες και φυλακισμένους. Θα με ενοχλούσαν πολύ τα περίεργα βλέμματα του κόσμου. Οι ηλικιωμένοι, όπως ο παππούς μου και η γιαγιά μου, θα με φοβόντουσαν. Ίσως να ήταν και δύσκολο να βρω δουλειά. Πάντα θα έπρεπε να κρύβω το τατουάζ μου. Γιατί λοιπόν να το κάνω; Στέφανος: Καλά θα κάνεις Παύλο, σε θαυμάζω! Μακάρι κι εγώ να είχα το θάρρος να το κάνω, αλλά... ποιος αντέχει τον πόνο, και τις φωνές των γονιών του...! Έλα όμως που μου αρέσει πολύ η τέχνη του τατουάζ! Άλλωστε, είναι μια από τις αρχαιότερες τέχνες. Σε πολλούς πολιτισμούς, άνθρωποι, για πολλούς αιώνες, βάφουν τα σώματά τους για διάφορους λόγους: θρησκευτικούς, κοινωνικούς, αισθητικούς... 1281 5
Question 10 (15 marks) «Μη φοβάσαι το άγνωστο!» Τέλειωσες το λύκειο και χρειάζεσαι χρόνο για να αποφασίσεις ποιο θα είναι το επόμενο βήμα στη ζωή σου; Γιατί δεν κάνεις αυτό που κάνουν χιλιάδες άλλοι νέοι σε όλο τον κόσμο, πριν αρχίσουν σπουδές στο πανεπιστήμιο ή πριν αρχίσουν δουλειά; Παίρνουν ένα σακίδιο, σπάνε τον κουμπαρά τους και ξεκινούν να ταξιδέψουν για να γνωρίσουν τον κόσμο. Μην περιμένεις άλλο! Ζήσε κι εσύ αυτή την μοναδική εμπειρία! Προγράμματα υπάρχουν πολλά, και αν το ψάξεις, κάτι θα βρεις και για σένα. Βέβαια θα πρέπει να ξεχάσεις τις ανέσεις, τα καλά ξενοδοχεία, το καλό φαγητό και τα ψώνια. Μην περιμένεις να πας σε μια χώρα όπου θα έχεις όλες τις πολυτέλειες, ξοδεύοντας τα λεφτά του μπαμπά και της μαμάς... Αν κάνεις συμβιβασμούς, τα χρήματα που θα χρειαστείς για να ζήσεις στην χώρα που θα πας, είναι πολύ λιγότερα από όσα φαντάζεσαι. Κάνοντας πρόχειρες δουλειές, θα μπορείς να εξοικονομείς τα λεφτά που χρειάζεσαι. Επίσης, θα μπορέσεις να γνωρίσεις διαφορετικούς ανθρώπους και κουλτούρες και θα ανοίξεις τους ορίζοντές σου. Θα γνωρίσεις καλύτερα τον εαυτό σου και θα έχεις χρόνο να αποφασίσεις τι πραγματικά θέλεις να κάνεις στη ζωή σου. Πέρα από όλα αυτά, η εμπειρία αυτή θα σε βοηθήσει να μάθεις να προσαρμόζεσαι εύκολα σε ένα νέο περιβάλλον. Θα μάθεις περισσότερα για τις ανθρώπινες σχέσεις και θα αποκτήσεις γνώσεις που θα σου είναι χρήσιμες στο μέλλον. Μην ξεχνάς, επίσης, ότι μπορεί να μάθεις και μια ξένη γλώσσα που είναι πάντα μεγάλο πλεονέκτημα. Το να φύγεις μακριά από τη χώρα σου και από την οικογένειά σου είναι σίγουρα μια μεγάλη απόφαση. Πρέπει λοιπόν, να ρωτήσεις τον εαυτό σου, αν το θέλεις πραγματικά. Αν το θέλεις και είσαι έτοιμος να ζήσεις σε μια άλλη χώρα, σαν ντόπιος κι όχι σαν τουρίστας, τότε, ακολούθα αυτό που σου λέει η καρδιά σου. Σκέψου μόνο πως σήμερα είσαι εδώ και διαβάζεις αυτό το κείμενο, ενώ αύριο μπορεί να διδάσκεις Αγγλικά στη Αργεντινή, να φροντίζεις ελέφαντες στην Ταϊλάνδη ή να δουλεύεις με ορφανά παιδάκια κάπου στην ανατολική Ευρώπη. Πολλοί το ονειρεύονται, λίγοι το τολμούν! 6
