Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, and make holiness perfect in the fear of God. Receiving Holy Communion The sacrament of Holy Communion is reserved for only baptized and/or Chrismated Orthodox Christians who have properly prepared by fasting, prayer and confession. The Orthodox Church is not in sacramental communion with any other church outside the Orthodox Christian Faith. If you are not Orthodox, you are invited with everyone to receive the Antidoron (blessed bread) at the end of service. If you would like information about the Orthodox Church, please see Fr. 5 Consecration Commemorative Album Release at Wine and Cheese Benefit Saturday, February 25 6:00 pm Come be the first to see and receive the Consecration Commemorative Album which records our 30 years of God's ministry at Transfiguration. We will have a wine and cheese benefit for our latest ministry need. The OCF REAL BREAK college students will travel to Thessaloniki, Greece in order to serve. The college students will join the Greek local ministries assisting those who have been affected by the economic and refugee crisis.

6 Sister Vassa At Transfiguration Join us for a Pre-Lenten Retreat and potluck dinner with Sister Vassa on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 4pm IT S ALRIGHT, MA Wednesday, January 25 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber; but he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the gatekeeper opens; the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers. But that s no cause for fear, as Bob Dylan prophetically notes: So don t fear if you hear / A foreign sound to your ear / It s alright, Ma, I m only sighing. What I d like to listen for today, while only sighing under the leadership of strangers, is His voice, the voice of our Lord, Who continues to go before us that we may follow, urged on and nurtured by His word. As I re-connect with Him today in some prayer, contemplation, and quiet self-examination, I ask that all my entrances and exits be by the door that is Jesus Christ and His loving, motherly Spirit, in Whom everything is made alright.
