4 EPISTLE READING Prokeimenon. Grave Mode. Psalm ,12 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Verse: What shall I render to the Lord for all that he has given me? The reading is from St. Paul's Second Letter to the II Corinthians 9:6-11 Brethren, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work. As it is written, "He scatters abroad, he gives to the poor; his righteousness endures forever." He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your resources and increase the harvest of your righteousness. 5 GOSPEL READING The Gospel According to Luke 10:25-37 At that time, a lawyer stood up to put Jesus to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read?" And he answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself." And he said to him, "You have answered right; do this, and you will live." But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" Jesus replied, "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him, and departed, leaving him half dead. Now by chance a priest was going down that road; and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was; and when he saw him, he had compassion, and went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; then he set him on his own beast and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, 'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.' Which of these three, do you think, proved neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?" He said, "The one who showed mercy on him." And Jesus said to him, "Go and do likewise." Σαμαρείτης δέ τις ὁδεύων ἦλθε κατ αὐτόν, καὶ ἰδὼν αὐτὸν ἐσπλαγχνίσθη, καὶ προσελθὼν κατέδησε τὰ τραύματα αὐτοῦ ἐπιχέων ἔλαιον καὶ οἶνον, ἐπιβιβάσας δὲ αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸ ἴδιον κτῆνος ἤγαγεν αὐτὸν εἰς πανδοχεῖον καὶ ἐπεμελήθη αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν αὔριον ἐξελθών, ἐκβαλὼν δύο δηνάρια ἔδωκε τῷ πανδοχεῖ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ἐπιμελήθητι αὐτοῦ, καὶ ὅ τι ἂν προσδαπανήσῃς, ἐγὼ ἐν τῷ ἐπανέρχεσθαί με ἀποδώσω σοι. τίς οὖν τούτων τῶν τριῶν πλησίον δοκεῖ σοι γεγονέναι τοῦ ἐμπεσόντος εἰς τοὺς λῃστάς; ὁ δὲ εἶπεν ὁ ποιήσας τὸ ἔλεος μετ αὐτοῦ. εἶπεν οὖν αὐτῷ ὁ Ιησοῦς πορεύου καὶ σὺ ποίει ὁμοίως.

6 PRAYERS BEFORE HOLY COMMUNION I believe and confess, Lord, that You are truly the Christ, the Son of the living God, Who came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the first. I also believe that this is truly Your pure Body and that this is truly Your precious Blood. Therefore, I pray to You, have mercy upon me, and forgive my transgressions, voluntary and involuntary, in word and deed, in knowledge or in ignorance. And make me worthy, without condemnation, to partake of Your pure Mysteries for the remission of sins and for eternal life. Amen. How shall I, who am unworthy, enter into the splendor of Your saints? If I should dare to enter into the bridal chamber, my vesture will condemn me, since it is not a wedding garment; and being bound up, I shall be cast out by the angels. Cleanse, O Lord, the filth of my soul, and save me, as You are the one Who loves mankind. In Your love, Lord, cleanse my soul, and save me. Master Who loves mankind, Lord Jesus Christ, my God, let not these Holy Gifts be to my judgment because I am unworthy, but rather for the purification and sanctification of both soul and body and the pledge of the life and Kingdom to come. It is good for me to cleave unto God and to place in Him the hope of my salvation. O Son of God, receive me today as a partaker of Your mystical supper. For I will not speak of the mystery to Your enemies, nor will I give You a kiss, as did Judas. But like the thief, I confess to You: Remember me, Lord, in Your Kingdom.

7 PARISH NEWS Philoptochos is collecting children s pants (sizes 6-18) to help support the Clothing Closet project at Cumming Elementary. Many students are in desperate need of pants, and the closet is running low on them. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. There is a bin in the Narthex where items can be placed. Christmas Decorating of Church and PLC on Saturday, December 2 1:00 p.m. Many hands might lighter work for everyone. Thank you. Bible Study Classes are on Wednesday morning, at We are studying the book of Genesis. The educational classes start after Vespers on Wednesday night, where we will be studying the Journey to Fullness series by Father Barnabas. All classes are held in the Parish Life Center. If you have any questions, please contact the church office. Our Sunday School is working with Philoptochos to donate canned or boxed items for The Place for their Thanksgiving meals. The following foods are needed: Corn, stuffing mix, gravy, yams/sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, canned soups, jiffy corn muffin mix, pumpkin, fruit and oatmeal. Please bring donations to your Sunday School class by November 19 th. The Class that brings the most canned or boxes items will be invited to have a special treat with Father Barnabas after Sunday School in the PLC. 9 Help Your Parish Community When You Shop There are 2 very easy ways that our parishioners can support Sts RNI with donations from 2 vendors: Amazon and Kroger. With the proper accounts, anyone who shops with either of these vendors can sign up Sts RNI to receive a periodic donation from the vendor, based on purchase amounts. Contact Anthony Birozes Anthony.Birozes@ejgallo.com if you can help! HOW CAN YOU HELP? Some of you have asked what other things volunteers can do to help. Here's some areas where they could use some help: Part Time Driver - We are currently seeking a part-time driver ASAP. This position is great for someone with a flexible schedule hoping to earn a little extra money. The hours will vary as we do have some volunteers in place; so the driver will need to be able to fill the spots which are not able to be covered by the volunteers. Hours may range from early morning to evening to weekends. This person will be required to pass a background check, random drug screenings and have a clean motor vehicle report. They do not need a CDL, but they will be driving a car, a bus and/or a box truck. Please have anyone who may be interested contact me. THANKS! Volunteer Drivers & Day center Volunteers: We are in need of folks who are willing to share their time with our guests either being present at the day center or transporting our guests to and from the churches, work, appointments, etc. If you or someone you know might be able to help us out, please me. For these volunteers, we do require a background check and motor vehicle report, and they will have additional training. Even if someone can do a few hours or only one day a week, we would appreciate their assistance. Also, this offers a great opportunity for potential volunteers who are only limited availability since the drivers are needed seven days a week and the day center volunteers are needed on the weekends.
