Among,+ seafood dishes, simmered fish, grilled fish and seafood pan were usually home made, and sashimi and tataki (quick-seared fish) were usually bought as ready-made ones. Among -- meat dishes, curry and rice, niku-jyaga (boiled meat and potatoes) and stir-fried meat and vegetables were usually home made, and shaomai, gyoza and meatball were usually as bought ready-made ones. The younger generation bought ready-made dishes more frequently compared with older generations. Those short cooking time for supper didn t make dishes by themselves but often bought ready-made dishes.
