Job satisfaction is related to the ability of the workplace to satisfy employees needs. A need becomes a motive when it is so intense that drives a person to act. Managers use a variety of techniques to enhance employee motivation. Key techniques include management by objectives, in which the management and subordinates set goals for the subordinate together, and behavior modification, which is based on reinforcement theory. Labor Relations
Labor Relations There is a dual relationship between labor and management. The two groups have different goals, which tend to place them at odds with each other. In developed countries, the employees of an organization have the legal right to form labor unions and to bargain, as a group, with the management for employment matters which are not regulated by laws. Unions negotiate a labor contract with management through the process of collective bargaining.
