ALATZA IMARET 1 m At Alatza Imaret the works in main room are placed on a plinth that takes up the entire space, leaving just a circulation corridor around it. The plinth is accesible via stairs. The existing exhibition walls are removed, though some of them might be placed as freestanding objects on the plinth itself. This distingushes between exhbition and host building, allowing the visitor to have a sense of Alatza Imaret as a mosque and not as a little museum. At the same time the plinth elevates the visitors, and thus offers a new experience. (with this single gesture we manage to also cover the unsightly floor) the plinth also improves the relation of the space to the outside, which currently is too direct. When the visitor is up on the plinth, they are more inside the space. The other rooms of Alatza Imaret are used for projections without specific intervention, apart from what the artist requires. 4

ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM 2.5 m 3.6 m 2.8 m The Bruce Nauman work (tombstone) is placed in a small exhibition room preferable inside one of the sculpture galleries. The room here reminds one of the small protective structures archaeologists built to protect fragile artefacts while excavating or studying them. BEY HAMAM (FLOWER MARKET) plan and some measurements Κατασκευή και βάψιμο τμημάτων τοίχου πλάτους 60 εκ και συνολικού μήκους 49 μέτρων. ο τοίχος αποτελείται από ελαφρύ, ξύλινο σκελετό ο οποίος ακουμπά στον υπάρχοντα χώρο χωρίς να είναι πακτωμένος. Το φάρδος των 60 εκ μαζί με προεκτάσεις του ξύλινου σκελετού που επιτρέπουν την επαφή και σταθεροποίηση, στο υπάρχον κτίριο, καθώς και η τοποθέτηση αντίβαρων στην βάση εσωτερικά του τοίχου θα πρέπει να εξασφαλίζει την συνολική στήριξη και σταθερότητα των εκθεσιακών τοίχων. Ο τοίχος είναι παρόμοιας κατασκευής με το «δωμάτιο τύπου 1» αλλά η άβαφη πλευρά έχει και σημειακά οριζόντια στοιχεία άβαφου MDF που χρησιμοποιούνται σαν ράφια. Επίσης σε 4 σημεία υπάρχουν ανοίγματα διαστάσεων 2.3 m x 1 καλυμμένα με Plexiglas και εσωτερικά ράφια, (βιτρίνα) Κατά την κατασκευή του τοίχου, ο χώρος θα πρέπει να καλυφτεί συνολικά με προστατευτικό νάιλον έτσι ώστε να μην υπάρχει η παραμικρή αλλοίωση του υπάρχοντος χώρου κατά την διάρκεια των εργασιών. CASA BIANCA Soulou + vitrine kendridge Beninati Savinio At Casa Bianca a set of exhibition rooms is inserted inside the existing rooms of the host building. These rooms are painted white on the inside and untreated wood color on the outside. passing between these rooms the visitor can glimse at the exhisting building. In some cases entire windows will be opened from the exhibition room to the host building, and if these are aligned with the hosts windows they will allow for natural light. At the same time these exhibition rooms obscure the existng exhibition walls, which we might not be allows to remove from the space. arrows indicate proposed circulation path 13

This creates a controlled sequence of rooms and courtyards. In the room the visitor can focus on the work, whether vitrine or wall based, the staps out in the courtyard to continue the path, and also has a look at the space, creating an artificial sense of enclosure. The two existing rooms become part of the sequence. STATE MUSEUM (Lazariston) The idea for Lazariston is similar to the other spaces: an exhibition space inhabits the space of the museum, and the visitor finds herself moving between the inserted space and the museum, between layers of fortification and enclosure. Each fragment consists of a corner : two walls and a floor. STATE MUSEUM (Lazariston) perhaps a small projection could be placed in inbetween spaces like these this is a clean drawing gallery, maybe for Baikas? here the roomfragment is detached from the walls, revealing a part of the floor. Maybe one type of work on the fragment, and a set of historical pieces on the existing wall of the museum. The result is a sequence inside and outside spaces, a constant change in perception and a space that reveals itself to the visitor with surprising turns.
