It operates through CASSlink an advanced, global, web-enabled e-billing solution. At the end of 2015, CASS was processing billings and settlements via 96 operations, serving over 500 airlines and over 12,000 freight forwarders, general sales and service agents (GSSAs) and ground handling companies. The settlement amount was US$29 billion. Due to the evolving of air cargo industry, IATA currently is developing a vision to modernize Cargo Billing and Settlement processes.
