The young man said to him, "All these I have observed; what do I still lack?" Jesus said to him, "If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me." When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions. And Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly, I say to you, it will be hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." But Jesus looked at them and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Saturday, September 9, 2017 The Feeding Ministry is continuing to serve our community with a Luncheon to be served to the Poor and Needy on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:30am in the St. Spyridon Cotsidas Cultural Center. This month s meal is donated by and served by members of the Philoptochos and parish volunteers. The Feeding Ministry will typically be scheduled the 2nd Saturday of each month in conjunction with the Council of Eastern Orthodox Churches of Central Massachusetts and the Food Pantry, and is subject to change if scheduling difficulties should arise. THE NEW ST. SPYRIDON CHOIR A NEW CHOIR IS BEING FORMED AND WE NEED YOU. COME SEE WHAT THE CHOIR IS ALL ABOUT AND HOW YOU CAN SHARE YOUR GIFT THROUGH MUSIC. We are very happy to announce that Nathan Reich has joined our parish as our choir director. His background with religious music is extensive and should allow us to try some new arrangements in our effort to Praise the Lord. Nathan is able to provide the choir with leadership and direction to enhance our musical experience. It s the time of year to begin exercising our voices by singing God s praises.
