Verse: God is known in Judah; his name is great in Israel. The reading is from St. Paul's Letter to the Ephesians 4:1-7 B rethren, I, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all lowliness and meekness, with patience, forbearing one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all. 5 to approve the 2019 budget and the Elections Committee s nominations slate for Parish Council Mobile Loaves and Fishes (MLF) Volunteer Opportunity On the first Saturday of every month, Transfiguration forms a team of parishioners to prepare lunches at the MLF site, as well as drive out to homeless shelters in Austin to distribute these lunches. We are always looking for volunteers. If you are interested in helping with this ministry, please contact John Esper at john.esper@gmail.com to be on the MLF distribution list. For those on the MLF distribution list, an is sent out about 3-4 days prior to the event asking for volunteers. Typically 4-5 volunteers are needed to prepare the lunches, and 3-4 volunteers are needed to deliver the lunches. If you have any questions, please contact John Esper, and he will be glad to help. Befriending My Soul The third workshop led by Prsb. Vasiliki on Thursday, December 13, 6pm - 8pm in our conference room. For those that would still like to sign up for the next 2 sessions, please contact Prsb. Vasiliki at After the tragic fall in the Garden of Eden passions of the soul can be contrary to our nature as άνθρωπος, male and female, in the image of God. Maximos calls these passions gentiles of the soul.

6 Bringing Your Brokenness Open to individuals and couples, meetings will be held bi-monthly on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. We are studying book Defeating Sin by Fr. Joseph Huneycutt which is available in our bookstore. Our goal is to provide a loving Orthodox Christian atmosphere for support, accountability, study, and discussion, with the ultimate goal of restoring our souls and bodies to the image and likeness of God. 8 Potluck Patristics BOOK STUDY Our Potluck Patristics Book Study is meeting on Monday, November 19, with a new book, The Divine Liturgy: A Commentary in the Light of the Fathers.
