The reading is from St. Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians 4:9-16 B rethren, God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, like men sentenced to death; because we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels and to men. We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute. To the present hour we hunger and thirst, we are ill-clad and buffeted and homeless, and we labor, working with our own hands. When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure; when slandered, we try to conciliate; we have become, and are now, as the refuse of the world, the offscouring of all things. The instructor was amazing and we all learned very valuable life-saving information. We are especially grateful to our neighbor, VIK COMPLETE CARE, for offering these classes free of charge as a public service. GOYA VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP WITH ST. NICHOLAS VACATION CAMP We need high school GOYA volunteers for this year's church camp. 5 PROM CLOTHING DRIVE TODAY IS THE LAST DAY! Since 2015 LifeWorks Street Outreach has hosted a prom for youth and young adults experiencing homelessness. This year s theme is Full Moon Masquerade, and prom will take place on July 11 th. In order to make this event as special as possible, LifeWorks is collecting prom clothing and jewelry! All dresses, shoes, suits, jewelry, etc. welcome! Collection bins will be located in Mt. Tabor Hall through June 30 th. Look for the bins in Mt. Tabor Hall and please bring your items by Sunday, June 30th. Bringing Your Brokenness Open to individuals and couples, meetings are held bi-monthly on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. Our goal is to provide a loving Orthodox Christian atmosphere for support, accountability, study, and discussion, with the ultimate goal of restoring our souls and bodies to the image and likeness of God. Our next meeting will be July 11, and we will be continuing our study of Time and Despondency: Regaining the Present in Faith and Life by Nicole Roccas.
