Für die Kinder werden im Garten Osternester versteckt. Bei der Messfeier werden Brot,Ostereier, Fleisch, Salz und Butter geweiht und anschließend zu Hause mit Verwandten und Freunden verzehrt. In manchen Gegenden werden in der Auferstehungsnacht Freudenfeuer angezündet. Christenen herdenken het feest van de opstanding van Christus. Saint Dionysios Sigouros, the Patron Saint of Zakynthos, spent part of his life serving as a monk at the Strofades Island complex south of Zakynthos, later as an abbot at Anafonitria Monastery and finally as a bishop at the Egina Island. During his service at Zakynthos the murderer of his brother asked for his help ignoring who Saint Dionysios really was. Saint Dionysios finally forgave him, hiding him from the police, that s why since then he has been named «Saint of forgiveness». 26 MEGA-KALENDER_RZ :45 Uhr Seite 26 MEGA Project Summary: In the process of finding out about our ROOTS, getting aware of them, appreciating them and accepting each other roots we want to reduce racism and xenophobia. The 5 participating countries, involving their minority groups will offer a big variety of cultures. In VIDEOS produced by pupils they have presented their school identity. On WALLSHEETS they have documented their identity within their area, history, specific features. This CALENDAR has been another end product of working on tradition. Another aspect will be the concentration on the young people themselves. In a questionnaire we'll find out more about TODAY'S PUPILS (habits,...) their WISHES for the future (work, marriage,...) and their FEARS (pollution, unemployment,...). We are excited about the results. "Do we differ from each other?" or "Is there a global European?" are questions to which we'll find an answer. Comparing the results we'lll see if there are national trends and if there are specific differences between mal and female answers. The results will be presented in a leaflet. The project has been documented by a website. The evaluation has been done by a questionnaire at the beginning stating stereotypes and prejudice towards foreigners and at the end to document the changing attitude towards froreigners.
