He that stays himself upon falsehoods, πεπαιδευµένος σοφὸς ἔσται, τῶ δὲ ἄφρονι attempts to rule the winds, and the same will διακόνω χρήσεται, ὃς ἐρείδεται ἐπὶ ψεύδεσιν, pursue birds in their flight; for he has οὗτος ποιµανεῖ ἀνέµους, ὁ δ αὐτὸς διώξεται forsaken the ways of his own vineyard, and he ὄρνεα πετώµενα, ἀπέλιπε γὰρ ὁδοὺς τοῦ has caused the axles of his own husbandry to ἑαυτοῦ ἀµπελῶνος, τοὺς δὲ ἄξονας τοῦ ἰδίου go astray; and he goes through a dry desert, γεωργίου πεπλάνηται.
