388 22-24 Similarities and differences of calcium transporters among different organisms Parisa Agagolzadeh, * Fatemeh Zamansani, Esmaeil Ebrahimie ** Department of Crop Production & Plant Breeding, College of Agriculture, Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran (parisa.aghagolzade.golzade@gmail.com) (fatemeh.zamansani@gmail.com) (ebrahimie@shirazu.ac.ir) Abstract One of the significant elements, involving the majority of cellular processes, is calcium. As a result, calcium transporters, by transporting calcium, play the critical role in cells. Calcium transporters can be categorized in two groups; ca +2 _ATPase and ca 2+ _H + - antiporter. The first group transfers calcium by ATPase energy, and the second group transfers calcium by H exchange without using of ATPase. The goal of present study was to investigate the protein characteristic (similarities and differences) of calcium transporters among different organisms. Protein features for primary and secondary structure of calcium transporters collected from different software and databases for example feature selection method with F- test algorithm. Fifty one protein features of primary and secondary structures of calcium transporters of different organisms were extracted from databanks and relevant software. The results of feature selection analysis showed that among fifty one features, four features were different among transporters, categorized as important features by feature selection. These features were included frequency of three amino acid; asparagine, threonine and tyrosine for the primary protein structure structure and number of amino acid in B_strand for the secondary protein structure. In contrast, features such as length and weight of calcium transporters were not important. The outputs also were confirmed by statistical analysis. This study can provide useful information about variability of calcium transporters among of organism. Keywords: calcium transporters, primary and secondary structure of proteins, feature selection. ۵
