The morning Liturgy led by Rev. Father Spyridon Vandoros will be followed by a community luncheon and celebration at the Legion Hall (239 1st Ave. NE). PAUL'S LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP The St. Paul s Greek Orthodox Community Leadership Scholarship was created to recognize and award members of the Greek community in Regina who are currently enrolled in or intend to pursue post-secondary education at a recognized institution in Canada or the United States. Two scholarships will be awarded, one for C$1,000 and one for C$500. The award will be applied to tuition. The 2017 Scholarship candidates must complete and submit the application no later than July 15th, 2017. The package that contains the criteria, detailed procedure information and the application form are available at the Church (on the bulletin board) or from Sophia Kolitsas or Dimitrios Fourlas. St. Paul s Greek Orthodox Church - Ladies Philoptochos Society Services St. Paul s Greek Orthodox Church Ladies Philoptochos Society provides the following services, upon a loved one falling asleep. Evening Prayers Coffee Service Προσευχές 1. Prepare coffee and two varieties of cookies 2. Set Up 3. Plates, cups, cutlery, napkins 4. Serve 5. Clean up Cost: $300.00 - Hall Rental is $150.00 payable separately to St. Paul s Greek Orthodox Church. Makaria Luncheon after Funeral Service The family is responsible for all arrangements including: food, set up, serving and clean up, as well as providing their own supplies. Hall Rental is no charge if the family has already paid for Evening Prayers, otherwise $150 is payable separately to St. Paul s Greek Orthodox Church. Use of church supplies (plates, cups, cutlery, and napkins) is a $150.00 fee payable to Philoptochos Philoptochos clean up service (optional upon request): $100.00 Memorial Coffee Service -_Μνημόσυνo 1. Prepare two varieties of cookies: $250.00 2. Koliva Preparation: $300.00 3. Hall Rental that includes coffee, plates, cups, cutlery, napkins: $150.00 4. Service: $100.00 each Memorial Coffee Hour Hostess Responsibilities A family may choose to host a memorial coffee hour without the support from the Philoptochos. If so, the following guidelines apply: 1. Arrive early to set up 2. Prepare paximadia, koulouria, coffee, cream/milk and brandy 3. After coffee hour please remember to: clean up kitchen, counters, sinks, return all unused cups, plates, cutlery, napkins etc. clean and turn off all coffee pots wipe down tables take home any remaining treats throw out garbage in garbage bins turn off lights If you require any clarification on any of the above, please contact a member of the Philoptochos executive. The Ladies of the Philoptochos society will serve lunch at the community hall following the Divine Liturgy. This celebration has become a wonderful tradition. Let s try to keep this tradition alive for our children and grandchildren to celebrate. We will be serving the traditional fish with all the trimmings, salad, scordalia and of course dessert. We will also be serving pasta (makaronia) with tomato sauce for any children who do not eat fish. Please stay and all together as a big family celebrate this special day. Give thanks to God for all the things we enjoy and ask him to forgive us and to help us through the Holy week, so that all of us together can celebrate His glorious resurrection (Anastasi). There will be no tickets sold, however we will pass a tray so that everyone can help the work of the Philoptochos in their own way. Hope to see you all there!
