Thessaloniki, 03/07/2014 PRESS RELEASE N. 2 TEX-MED Clusters Wrap Up Seminar HELLENIC FASHION INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION (SEPEE) organized the TEX-MED Clusters Wrap up meeting (first milestone of the Project) in Thessaloniki, on June 26 & 27.All key-persons of the Project partnership were present at this important event. The main aim of the Wrap up meeting was the transferring the findings of the assessment (information and SWOT analysis) of the participating T/C Mediterranean Clusters (i.e. Prato/Italy, Sabadell/Spain, Thessaloniki/Greece, Ben Arous and Monastir/Tunis, Al Iskandariyah/Egypt, Bethlehem/Palestine Authority & Amman/Jordan) and at defining the most favorable areas for cooperation among Clusters' organizations and and enterprises. The presentation of the first study of the Project The scenario of the T/C industry in Europe and the position of the countries of the Mediterranean Basin, provided by Mr Francesco Marchi Director General of Euratex - opened the meeting. Mr Francesco Pellizzari, Technical Assistance Manager of the project, presented the outcomes of the assessments/swot analysis carried out in each of the clusters participating at the Project and the general features and value chain of the Mediterranean T/C HyperCluster. Than, a representative from each project partner presented the specific areas of interest for CBC his/her cluster and provided additional inputs in terms of on going or envisaged new projects, recent successful business cases in his/her cluster, how to promote his/her cluster to other Tex-Med Clusters. TEX-MED Clusters - Innovative cross-border approaches for Textile and Clothing Clusters codevelopment in the Mediterranean basin is a project funded by ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2007-2013 (www.enpicbcmed.eu). TEX-MED Clusters Project involves eight Partners, representing textile and clothing clusters in Mediterranean regions: UnioneIndustrialePratese (Applicant, representing Prato cluster/tuscany), TEXFOR (Sabadell cluster/cataluña), SEPEE (Thessaloniki cluster/central Macedonia), CETTEX and MFCPole (Tunis and Monastir clusters/tunis and Ben Arous), FEDCOC (Alexandria cluster/al- Iskandanyah), UPTI (Bethlehem cluster/palestinian Authority), JGATE (Amman Cluster/Jordan). TEX-MED Clusters general objective is to foster the cross-border integration of the textile and clothing industry of the Mediterranean area by promoting the cooperation among textile and clothing clusters, many of which having international relevance, and among SMEs being part of the clusters. The project duration is 2 years with a total budget of 2 M euro of which 1,7 M euro are funded by ENPI CBC MED Programme 2007-2013 and 0,3 M euro co-financed by the project's partners. TEX-MED Clusters is one of the 95 projects funded by ENPI CBC MED 2007-2013. With a total budget of 200 Million Euro and under the lead of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (Italy) in the quality of Joint Managing Authority, the Programme aim at promoting the sustainable and harmonious cooperation process at the Mediterranean Basin level by dealing with the common challenges and enhancing its endogenous potential. It consists in a multilateral cross-border cooperation initiative funded by the European Neighboring Partnership Instrument (ENPI) that involves 14 countries: Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Syria (participation currently suspended), Tunisia.
Statement about the Programme The 2007-2013 ENPI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme is a multilateral Cross-Border Cooperation initiative funded by the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI). The Programme objective is to promote the sustainable and harmonious cooperation process at the Mediterranean Basin level by dealing with the common challenges and enhancing its endogenous potential. It finances cooperation projects as a contribution to the economic, social, environmental and cultural development of the Mediterranean region. The following 14 countries participate in the Programme: Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Syria (participation currently suspended), Tunisia. The Joint Managing Authority (JMA) is the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (Italy). Official Programme languages are Arabic, English and French (www.enpicbcmed.eu). Θεζζαινλίθε, 03/07/2014 ΔΕΛΣΙΟ ΣΤΠΟΤ N. 2 TEX-MED Clusters ΕΝΙΥΤΗ ΣΗ ΤΝΕΡΓΑΙΑ ΜΕΣΑΞΤ ΜΕΟΓΕΙΑΚΩΝ ΠΕΡΙΟΥΩΝ ΜΕ ΗΜΑΝΣΙΚΗ ΤΓΚΕΝΣΡΩΗ ΣΟΝ ΚΛΑΔΟ ΕΝΔΤΗ-ΚΛΩΣΟΫΦΑΝΣΟΤΡΓΙΑ Ο χλδεζκνο Επηρεηξήζεσλ Πιεθηηθήο Εηνίκνπ Ελδχκαηνο Ειιάδνο (ΕΠΕΕ) δηνξγάλσζε ζηελ Θεζζαινλίθε ζηηο 26 & 27 Ινπλίνπ ηελ ζπλάληεζε ησλ εηαίξσλ ηνπ έξγνπ TEX MED Clusters. ην έξγν TEX-MED ζπκκεηέρνπλ 8 clusters, δειαδή πεξηνρέο κε ζεκαληηθή ζπγθέληξσζε επηρεηξήζεσλ, ηνπ θιάδνπ έλδπζεο θισζηνυθαληνπξγίαο ζηελ Μεζφγεην. Οη 8 πεξηνρέο είλαη ην Πξάην ζηελ Ιηαιία, ην ακπαληέι-καηαινλία ζηελ Ιζπαλία, ε Θεζζαινλίθεθεληξηθή Μαθεδνλία ζηελ Ειιάδα, ε Σχληδα θαη ην Μνλαζηήξη ζηελ Σπλεζία, ε Αιεμάλδξεηα ζηελ Αίγππην, ε Παιαηζηίλε θαη ην Ακκάλ ζηελ Ινξδαλία. απηέο ηηο 8 πεξηνρέο είλαη ζπγθεληξσκέλεο πεξίπνπ 14.500 επηρεηξήζεηο έλδπζεο θισζηνυθαληνπξγίαο νη νπνίεο απαζρνινχλ 230.000 εξγαδφκελνπο. Σν έξγν TEX MED Clusters έρεη σο ζηφρν ηελ ελίζρπζε ηεο δηαζπλνξηαθήο ζπλεξγαζίαο ζηνπο θιάδνπο έλδπζεο θισζηνυθαληνπξγίαο ζηελ πεξηνρή ηεο Μεζνγείνπ θαη εηδηθφηεξα κεηαμχ 8 πεξηνρψλ πνπ ζπκκεηέρνπλ ζην έξγν. Μέζσ ηεο δηεχξπλζεο ηεο ζπλεξγαζίαο ησλ clusters θαη ησλ κηθξνκεζαίσλ επηρεηξήζεσλ ζα επηδησρζεί ε επηηάρπλζε ηεο αλάπηπμεο ηνπ θιάδνπ έλδπζεο θισζηνυθαληνπξγίαο ζηελ Μεζφγεην σο κηαο εληαίαο πεξηνρήο κε αληαγσληζηηθά πιενλεθηήκαηα. ηελ ζπλάληεζε παξεπξέζεθε ν Γεληθφο Δηεπζπληήο ηεο EURATEX (Επξσπατθνχ πλδέζκνπ Έλδπζεο Κισζηνυθαληνπξγίαο) θ. Francesco Marchi, ν νπνίνο παξνπζίαζε ηα απνηειέζκαηα ηεο κειέηεο γηα ηνλ θιάδν έλδπζεο θισζηνυθαληνπξγίαο ζηελ Επξψπε θαη ηελ ζέζε ησλ ρσξψλ ηεο επξσκεζνγεηαθήο πεξηνρήο πνπ κεηέρνπλ ζην έξγν.
Επίζεο, παξνπζηάζηεθαλ ηα απνηειέζκαηα ησλ εξεπλψλ ζε θάζε πεξηνρή κε ηα ηδηαίηεξα ραξαθηεξηζηηθά ηνπ ηνκέα έλδπζεο θισζηνυθαληνπξγίαο, ηα πιενλεθηήκαηα, ηηο αδπλακίεο θαη ηηο αλάγθεο ηνπ. Μεηά απφ ζπδήηεζε θαη αληαιιαγή απφςεσλ νη εηαίξνη ηνπ έξγνπ ζπκθψλεζαλ λα πξνρσξήζνπλ ζηελ δηεξεχλεζε ζπγθεθξηκέλσλ ηνκέσλ ζπλεξγαζίαο. Απηνί αθνξνχλ: ην βακβάθη, ηα technical textiles, ηελ πξφζβαζε ζε λέεο αγνξέο (Αξαβηθέο ρψξεο, Ρσζία, Κίλα, Λαηηληθή Ακεξηθή), ηελ ππνζηήξημε ησλ ηνπηθψλ brands, ηελ δηαρείξηζε ησλ ζηνθ, ηνπο λένπο επηρεηξεκαηίεο, ηελ αλάπηπμε ηερληθψλ ηθαλνηήησλ θαη ην ειεθηξνληθφ εκπφξην ελδπκάησλ. ην πξνζερέο δηάζηεκα ζα εμεηδηθεπηνχλ νη ηξφπνη θαη ηα βήκαηα ζπλεξγαζίαο ζηνπο ηνκείο πνπ επηιέρζεθαλ, κε ηειηθφ ζηφρν ηελ ελδπλάκσζε ηεο ζπλνιηθήο αληαγσληζηηθφηεηαο ησλ επηρεηξήζεσλ θαη ηνπ θιάδνπ ζηελ επξσκεζνγεηαθή δψλε. Η επφκελε ζπλάληεζε ηνπ έξγνπ ζα πξαγκαηνπνηεζεί ζηελ Σπλεζία ζηηο 16-18 Οθησβξίνπ.
