Romans 12:5 I am grateful and humbled by everyone's love, support, and prayers these last few weeks. The inspirational work all of you put into the festival and then the beautiful fellowship meal this past Sunday was a testimony to your love of God, each other, and the Church...it also was the warmest welcome and I thank each and every one of you. Truly, here at Holy Trinity, we are united by Christ and are members of each other. I am excited to announce that beginning in October we will start house blessings, which is customary at the beginning of the liturgical year. Please look for details in an upcoming monthly bulletins and correspondences. I ask only that when we schedule the house blessings, we do so at a time when the whole family can be present. Therefore, affording us the time to truly get to know each other, discuss the bright future and plans we have at Holy Trinity this year for fellowship, educational, and missions ministries. These ministries will be an opportunity to enhance Christ's light in our hearts so that each of us can go forth and shine Christ's light to the world. May the Lord bless us, each and every one! With Love, Fr. Demetri Προς Ρωμαίους 12:5 "Ούτως οι πολλοί εν σώμα εσμεν εν Χριστω, ο δε καθ'εις αλλήλων μελη." Είμαι ευγνώμων και ταπεινωμένος απο όλη την αγάπη, υποστηριξη και τις προσευχές σας τις τελευταίες εβδομάδες. Όλη η σκληρή δουλειά που κάνατε για το φεστιβάλ και το φιλόξενο γεύμα που μοιραστήκαμε μαζι την προηγούμενη Κυριακή ήταν μια μαρτυρία της αγάπης που έχετε στον Θεό, ο ένας στον άλλον και στην εκκλησία μας. Ήταν ένα πολυ θερμό καλωσόρισμα και θα ήθελα να σας ευχαριστήσω τον καθένα σας ξεχωριστά. Όντως, εδώ στην Αγία Τριάδα είμαστε ενωμένοι απο τον Χριστό και μέλη αλλήλων. Είμαι ενθουσιασμένος που σας ανακοινώ οτι απο τον Οκτώβριο, αρχίζουμε τον αγιασμό των σπιτιών, το οποίο συνηθίζετε τις αρχές του λειτουργικού έτους. Για λεπτομέρειες, συμβουλευτείτε το επερχόμενο μηνιαίο δελτίο και την αλληλογραφία της εκκλησίας. Το μόνο που σας ζητάω ειναι να προγραμματίζετε την ημέρα του αναλογα ώστε να ειναι όλη η οικογένεια παρούσα κατα την διάρκεια του αγιασμού. Έτσι θα έχουμε χρόνο να γνωριστούμε καλύτερα και να μπορέσουμε να συζητήσουμε για το λαμπρό μέλλον και τα σχέδια που έχουμε για την Αγία Τριαδα φέτος για τις προσφερόμενες υπηρεσίες υποτροφιας, παιδείας και αποστολών. Αυτές οι υπηρεσίες θα ειναι μια ευκαιρία για να απαυξανουμε του Χριστού το φως στις καρδιές μας για να μπορεί ο καθένας μας να προχωρήσει μπροστά και να φωτίσει με το φως Του και τον υπόλοιπο κόσμο. Message for the Parish Council Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I would like to say thank you to all the volunteers that helped make this year s 41st Annual Greek Food Festival a great success. I would also like to thank all our donors for your generosity and support. The human element is the most important ingredient for this ministry. I call festival a ministry because it truly brings our community together through the teaching of Christ "to do for others". 2

I felt this year that when the call for help went out that the response was very humbling. Many people came for over 12 hour shifts with smiles on their faces and humility in their hearts. Along with all the excitement of festival we had in our midst our new soon to be priest Demetrios Panteloukas. As Seminarian Demetri walked around the hall and gave church tours I would watch people gravitate towards him. I was very grateful for his presence as my strength. And many others were also feeling the same sentiment. Following the festival we were preparing for Father Demetrios Panteloukas Ordination. The ordination into the holy priesthood is a Sacrament of our Orthodox Faith. It was our "timi" and "xara" to witness his ordination here at Holy Trinity. I would like to thank Metropolitan Methodios for bestowing this great honor on our community. Please join us in welcoming Fr Demetrios, Presbytera Tammy, Zenovia, Aphrodite, Panagioti, and Markella into our Holy Trinity family. Again, Thank you for all your support and love of "our" church. God Bless, Maria October 2016 Αγαπητοί Αδερφοί και Αδερφές, Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω ολους εσάς τους εθελοντές που βοηθήσατε φέτος ώστε το 41ο Φεστιβάλ να γίνει επιτυχές. Επίσης, ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ και στους δωρητές μας για την γενναιοδωρία και την υποστήριξη τους. Το ανθρώπινο στοιχείο ειναι πολυ σημαντικό στις υπηρεσίες μας. Αποκαλώ το φεστιβάλ ως υπηρεσία γιατι δένει την ενορία μας πιο πολυ, εκμεταλλευόμενοι του Χριστού το δίδαγμα "βοηθάτε αλλήλους". Το αισθάνθηκα ειδικά όταν ζήτησα βοήθεια για τις προετοιμασίες. Πολλοί άνθρωποι ερχόντουσαν για 12ωρες βάρδιες με χαμόγελα στο πρόσωπο τους και ταπεινή καρδιά. Εκτός απο τον ενθουσιασμό τού Φεστιβάλ, είχαμε και ανάμεσα μας τον λίαν συντόμως παπάς μας Δημήτρης Παντελουκας. Όταν ο Δημήτρης κυκλοφορούσε στην αίθουσα και έκανε περιοδείες στην εκκλησία, έβλεπα πως οι άνθρωποι έλκονταν προς το μέρος του, και ημουν ευγνώμων για την παρουσία του που μου έδινε δύναμη. Το ίδιο συναίσθημα είχαν πολλοί απο εμάς. Μετά το φεστιβάλ, ετοιμαστηκαμε και για την χειροτονία του. Η χειροτονία για την Ορθόδοξη Πίστη ειναι ένα μυστήριο. Ήταν τιμή μας και χαρά μας να είμαστε παρόντες και μάρτυρες της χειροτονίας του εδώ στην Αγία Τριάδα. Θα ήθελα να ευχαριστήσω τον Μητροπολίτη Μεθόδιο που μας έκανε τέτοια τιμή στην κοινότητα μας. Σας παρακαλώ να με βοηθήσετε να καλωσορίσουμε τον Πάτερ Δημήτριο, την πρεσβυτέρα Tammy, την Ζηνοβία, την Αφροδίτη, τον Παναγιώτη και την Μαρκέλλα στην "αγκαλιά"της Αγίας Τριάδας. He is the son of an immigrant Father and a first generation Mother, both from Chios. He grew up in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church of Atlantic City, NJ and has always kept his faith close to his heart. He is married to Presbytera Tammy Maria and they have four beautiful children Zenovia, Aphrodite, Panagiotis & Markella. He returns it to us as His body and blood in Holy Communion. We offer ourselves and we become the Church, His body on earth. No matter how much we give, He cannot be outdone. Just like the boy who offered the loaves and the fish, if we offer what we have however great or small our gift with prayer and humility, God will receive our gifts and multiply them to feed His people. What is Christian Stewardship? Christian Stewardship is learning how to be a responsible and concerned caretaker of Christ s Church; it is learning how to enjoy Church life and be happy in Church work., for in Her dwells the fullness of the Spirit of God. our active commitment to use all our time, talent and treasure for the benefit of humankind in grateful acknowledgment of Christ s redeeming love. caring for the needs of others. offering one s self to God as He offered Himself to us. what a person does after saying I believe, as proof of that belief. devotion and service to God and His Church as persons, as families, as diocese/ metropolis, as national Church and as Church universal. One day, a person complained to his priest that the Church and Christianity is one continual give, give, give. To which the priest replied, Thank you very much for the finest definition of Christianity I have ever heard. You re right, Christianity is all about a constant give, give, give. God giving His only Son to the world to show His unconditional love. His Son Jesus giving His life on the cross to forgive our sins and destroy death. Then our Lord s disciples giving all they had to make sure God s Good News of love was preached to all people everywhere. They not only gave away their homes and businesses, but even gave up their lives as martyrs in gratitude to God! It is by offering our blessings back to God that He will be able to continue His forgiving, healing, liberating, empowering, transfiguring, loving ministry through the Church. For God, Infinite though He be, has chosen to work through us, through our gifts, to continue His saving work in the world today. Fr. Anthony M. His disciples tell him that all they have are five loaves and two small fish that a boy has offered. Jesus response is the phrase, Bring them to me. Jesus then takes the loaves, blesses and breaks 5 Williams & McKibben in Oriented Leadership Christian Stewardship is about becoming good caretakers of all that God has given us. God has given each of us special and unique gifts. And through Holy Scripture He teaches us all that we have is a loan. He lends everything to us, and reminds us that one day He will ask us to give a detailed accounting of what we have done with the gifts He has given us. Archbishop Anastasios of Albania has noted that we find ourselves by offering ourselves. Have we learned the blessedness of generously giving to others of all we have? Everything we have is temporal. We don t know for how long we have it. The fundamental question, though, is how will we use all that we have for the glory of God? Volunteers Needs!!!!
