Prayer Tree The members of the Prayer Tree express their love for their neighbor by praying each day in the comfort of their home for inten ons that are given to them over the telephone. Hospital Visits Visits to our parishioners at Mercy Hospital in Washington are made twice a week, based on Fr. Wormek s & Fr. Freddy s schedule. In serious cases, and on weekends, contact Fr. Wormek or Fr. Freddy. We suggest that you call the parish o ce at , for Fr. Wormek (ext. 1514) or Fr. Freddy (ext. 1513), if you or your family member is in the hospital, since the hospital is restricted from no fying the parish without your permission, and/or there may be a delay in upda ng your parish preference in the hospital computer. Open my ears to Your words. Open my mouth in prayer and song. Open my eyes to see your mystery in symbol and sign. Open my heart in love for You and my neighbor. Quiet the thoughts and distrac ons that will keep me from prayer. Strengthen me to take the Mass into my life this week. Amen. Notes from Fr. Joe Wormek Congratula ons to Deacon Leon who celebrated his 21st anniversary of Ordina on to the Diaconate this past Thursday. Thanks Deacon Leon for your service to our parish all these years. We pray for your con nued health and well-being. Happy Father s Day to all our fathers, grandfathers, godfathers and adopted fathers!!! Jesus speaks a lot about His Father and our Father in heaven. There always seem to be a connectedness between our father on earth and our heavenly Father. Let us pray for our fathers and their blessing to us. Liturgically we celebrate the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ this weekend. We believe that we have the very presence of Jesus with us. As we receive Holy Communion, let us remember we are tabernacles which Jesus lives in each day. The purpose of the group is to experience the beauty of the Catholic Faith through the study of Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Diary of Saint Faus na. Members will be encouraged to discern and exercise the Faith through the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, and to help people become sensi ve to the gi and beauty of all life, especially through care for the rejected, lonely, disabled, elderly, sick and dying. This program will help you be er understand the role of trust, forgiveness, and mercy in your daily lives. Divine Mercy is not just devo- onal prayers; it is a Way of Life to be lived. Regre ably, we cannot accept TV s, computers or nonworking appliances.
