Central South University Changsha 410083 China) Abstract :Based on the analysis of existing agriculture information classification the paper puts forward a new classification scheme that is oriented to multilevel2user and network agriculture information administration. On the basis of agricultural industry classification and attribute features of agriculture information agriculture in2 formation is divided into 7 types : spatial information science and technology information social and econom2 ic information relative organization information agricultural resources and environment information agricul2 ture means of production marketing information of agricultural productions. Furthermore agricultural infor2 mation are classified into two parts as basic information and general information and code system for agricul2 tural information classification is designed according to different demands of multilevel users. This information system is expected to contribute a lot not only to agricultural modernization but also to relative agricultural re2 search.
