Aims: To develop children s interest in the Greek language and culture. To help children understand and cultivate the Greek language and culture through themes, activities and games appropriate to their age and understanding. WEEKLY HOMEWORK SCHEDULE Each week, students receive a program outlining their homework and other tasks. ASSESSMENT AND REPORTING Written reports regarding students' progress are provided to parents twice a year. Copies of Reports are kept at the Centre for Hellenic Studies, WA. Students are assessed weekly on their homework and during class activities. Teachers provide weekly feedback to students regarding their work, and offer constructive comments on their performance. Teachers keep detailed records of students' progress. Parents are encouraged to discuss their children's progress with class teachers or the coordinator of the Centre for Hellenic Studies, WA. PROGRAMS AND BOOKS Text books and curriculum are revised on a regular basis in order to suit the needs of our students. The Centre for Hellenic Studies, WA implements special language programs for non-greek speaking students and students who speak limited Greek. 16
